About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to support engagement with schools and multi-academy trusts by coordinating outreach, responding to enquiries, and helping to deliver our engagement activities. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager to implement engagement plans and ensure effective communication with schools and partners.
You will be supported by the Engagement Manager, Co-Director of Partnerships and Impact, and work closely with the Senior Programme Managers, Programme Managers and Communications team.
You will support the Engagement Manager to deliver our school engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and funded programme commitments. You’ll be a key first point of contact for schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, assessing their suitability and needs before referring them to the appropriate programme.
Working with the Engagement Manager, you’ll create marketing strategies to generate interest and participation in our programmes through direct mail, digital marketing campaigns, and in-person at conferences and events and meetings with prospective school partners.
You’ll help build the engagement pipeline, support onboarding to ensure a smooth handover for training participants and schools to our programme delivery teams.
This role will be primarily based in London, but will include supporting the engagement of schools in locations across the UK as we scale and develop new hubs. You will be joining a dynamic and growing charity who are passionate about delivering exceptional training, skill sharing, expertise and know-how to advance the quality of food preparation, food service and food education in schools.
You will ideally have an understanding of the education sector and have strong people skills with the ability to build relationships and manage effective partnerships with external organisations.

Support the Engagement Manager in delivering school engagement plans and activities, ensuring they align with our organisational marketing strategy.

About the Role

About the role

As a member of the curatorial team, you will be responsible for researching, understanding and communicating the Collections and their histories to connect visitors, wider audiences and communities to Waddesdon. You will participate in an ambitious and inclusive permanent display and exhibitions programme, and will work closely with the Senior Curator, Senior Collections Manager and other colleagues to plan and deliver the strategy for care, access and engagement for the Collections. You will contribute to the efficient running of the Collections Department, creating a sense of common purpose, encouraging innovative thinking and best practice and working within the line management structure to support junior and senior colleagues and the day-to-day running of the department.
You will participate in the wider strategy for Waddesdon and the RF as a whole and the representation of the Collections within it so that learning and skills are valued and Waddesdon’s curatorial work is recognized as an exemplar of excellence both nationally and internationally. You will support the IGC Team Manager and Fundraising Manager to deliver HI UK’s individual giving strategy by developing and running our digital fundraising activities.
The purpose of the post is to:
· Focus on increasing overall digital fundraising income year on year.
· Lead the development of HI UK’s digital fundraising activities, focusing on email marketing and paid advertising while testing and developing new income streams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Email marketing
· Create high-quality, timely and inspiring emails for HI UK’s donors and supporters every week, to increase income and engagement.

· Develop and maintain email marketing automation programmes to improve supporter experience.
Paid media
· Work with our digital agency to optimise the ROI of our Search Engine Advertising (SEA) on Google and Bing.

· Develop and implement multichannel digital fundraising campaigns, working with the Fundraising Manager.
Content creation and website

· Improve the HI UK website as a tool for fundraising and supporter engagement, focusing on the creation and development of appeal landing pages, donation forms, and supporter actions.

Cross cutting
· Maintain detailed reporting on key performance indicators for digital marketing, to evaluate performance, make improvements and identify tests.

WFN’s communications amplify the work of Whitley Award winners, raise the profile of the charity, bolster fundraising efforts, and contribute to global conservation conversations, positioning WFN as a leader within the sector.
- Monitor, and create and schedule content for WFN’s Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts, helping to grow engagement and channel performance, driving traffic to WFN’s website, and sharing charity, winner, and sector news – in line with WFN’s communications strategy and with oversight from the Head of Communications (HoC)
- Lead management of WFN’s photo library and footage archive (Google photos): naming, categorising, and uploading winner and event photos

EVENTS
Whitley Awards Ceremony
The Whitley Awards are the result of an international search to find, fund, train and put a spotlight on outstanding grassroots leaders and their conservation projects. Finalists are invited to London for a week of training and events, culminating with the Whitley Awards Ceremony, where winners receive their Awards from WFN Patron, HRH The Princess Royal in front of 400 guests and many more tuning in via our livestream.
The Communications Assistant will assist the team in planning and delivery of events during the Whitley Awards Ceremony week, including the Friends Reception, Ceremony and NGO Reception, particularly in the following areas:
Communications
- Assist with supplier liaison across event filming, livestream, and photography
- Help create event visuals and on-screen graphics
- Support with creation of the Ceremony invitations and booklet
- Support with sourcing additional material for the Whitley Award films as needed

· Oversight of our vehicles management function and line management of the Vehicles Officer
· Contributing to the review of the corporate Risk Register

In order to fulfil this role, you will need a track record in the management of health and safety in a health, care or housing environment, and a relevant safety qualification. You will demonstrate understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act and other safety legislation and regulatory requirements. You will be conscientious, well organised, and able to clearly delegate to others whilst maintaining personal accountability. A proactive, assertive, and confident approach is essential, as is the ability to lead and motivate your team to provide excellent customer service and meet performance expectations and KPIs.
You must demonstrate a high standard of written English, with the ability to write professional reports. You will have strong IT and data management skills, including the confident use of word, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and databases. The ability to critically read documents and accurately identify facts, issues, and root causes is essential. You will be able to research and evaluate information, and take responsibility for staying up to date with changing legislation, case law and emerging good practice.
You will be required to handle information of a confidential nature and must observe the highest standards of diligence and professionalism, with excellent attention to detail. You must be able to represent Creative Support in a credible and assuring manner, and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

We can offer full time (37.5 hours) or part-time hours, subject to a minimum of 30 hours, with the expectation of some flexibility to attend evening meetings and undertake national travel.
The post will be based in our Head Office in Stockport. Our offices are readily accessible via public transport, as we are based in in the centre of Stockport and close to the mainline train station. Due to the need for travel to our sites across the country, you must be a car driver with a current cleaning driving licence. We can provide a lease car or taxable monthly car allowance of £250 per month.
