Food Bank Aid is a young charity with a clear sense of purpose of keeping the food banks fed, and we want to reach even more food banks in the years ahead. 

We are appointing three new Trustees to strengthen our Board, broaden our expertise and support the setting and delivery of our strategy for the next phase of the charity’s development. These appointments reflect our ambition for Food Bank Aid’s future and our commitment to building a Board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

The three profiles of expertise sought are:
1. A Chair (with previous leadership experience ideally in the not-for-profit sector)
2. A Trustee with income generation experience and expertise
3. A Trustee with Charity Governance experience

This Role Is the Backbone of the Content Ecosystem
Content creation without structure becomes chaos. Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is intentionally recruiting hundreds of content creators. That level of scale requires rigorous systems to ensure nothing is lost, duplicated, misused, or unsafe. The Content Librarian / Digital Asset Manager is the role that turns volume into value. This is not a passive admin role. This is infrastructure-building.

The Content Librarian ensures that every piece of content created across the organisation is:

Experience Qualification and Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in digital asset management, content operations, knowledge management, archiving, or media library administration.
• Experience creating and maintaining structured systems (folders, naming rules, tags, metadata) at scale.
• Experience logging and tracking assets accurately, with strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Experience working across teams (creative, campaigns, operations, safeguarding) to coordinate content flow and accountability.
• Highly organised approach with strong file hygiene, documentation discipline, and ability to maintain standards consistently.
• Strong attention to detail, including version control, permissions, approval status tracking, and prevention of misuse.
• Ability to think in systems: designing processes that make content searchable, reusable, and scalable.
• Strong communication skills for clarifying requirements, flagging risks, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain reliability in a high-volume environment.

Desirable experience 

• Experience supporting creative teams with admin/ops or project coordination.
• Familiarity with content governance: approvals, safeguarding clearance markers, and usage rights tracking.
• Experience building content calendars or supporting distribution workflows.

Helpful tools (welcomed, not required)

• Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Airtable, or similar documentation / content systems.
• DAM platforms or structured media library tools.
• Familiarity with file naming conventions and metadata frameworks.

Training & qualifications

• Formal qualifications are not required.
• Qualifications in library studies, information management, or organisational management are desirable.

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties

• Build and maintain a central digital content library that supports scale, reuse, and consistent access across the CIC.
• Create and manage structured systems for content organisation, including naming conventions, folder structures, tagging rules, and metadata standards.
• Log and catalogue all incoming content from content creators, podcast teams, campaign teams, and ambassadors, ensuring every asset is captured and traceable.
• Track key content status fields, including approval status, usage rights/permissions, platform suitability, and safeguarding clearance.
• Ensure content is easy to find and easy to reuse by maintaining accurate tags, searchable metadata, clear versions, and consistent file hygiene.
• Manage version control and “single source of truth” practices, preventing confusion, loss of quality, duplicated assets, or incorrect public release.
• Coordinate with the Social Media Director, Safeguarding Officer, Campaign Managers, and Automation & Systems teams to align library structure with workflows and publishing needs.
• Flag risks, gaps, duplication, or misuse (e.g., missing consent, unclear rights, unapproved assets, outdated versions, incorrect tagging) and route issues to the right owners.
• Support content distribution readiness by ensuring assets are stored in the correct location, correctly named, correctly tagged, and marked for approved use.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by refining systems, templates, and guidance as volume increases and the C.I.C scales.

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of the issues affecting blind and partially sighted people in relation to sport. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to sports clubs, sporting venues and facilities and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a sporting world without barriers.

What you’ll be doing
1. Talks to sports and physical activity providers to support and encourage them to consider the needs of blind and partially sighted people by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local leisure centres, sporting venues and sports clubs.
2. Delivering talks to raise awareness of existing sporting and physical activity opportunities for blind and partially sighted people.
3. Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service.

As an Independent Visitor Volunteer in England, you might:

We are looking for someone keen to move into the area of advising small charities on management and governance issues and working with them on other services we provide.

We are a very ambitious local grant-making charity that also offers various training, support and consultancy services to small charities and community groups in West London. Our broad-ranging plans are now beginning to bear fruit and so we need volunteers to help us in the following areas as demand for our services continues to grow:

· Supporting small groups and start-ups with basic governance and management issues

· Facilitating coordination between groups including organising events linking those with common interests

· Monitoring our grant holders and assessing the impact of our services on groups

· Outreach to new groups

· General admin support

· Possibly helping out with grant application assessments when needed

Our ideal candidates would have a good all-round management or professional background gained over a number of years, but they need not be experienced in the areas mentioned above. You'd be given full training, with the opportunity to shadow the people already working in these areas. Far more important is adaptability, initiative, an ability to get on well with people from all sorts of backgrounds, and good organisational and writing skills. Most crucially you would have a demonstrable commitment to our ideals of promoting a strong and influential civil society in West London. You will thrive on challenges and find rewards in seeing our objectives achieved.

You would ideally be able to commit an average of 1 day a week and the work would involve dealing with our clients during office hours, so you will probably be someone who is working part-time, or is perhaps retired or semi-retired, or is otherwise not in full-time employment. We would also be prepared to consider applicants only able to commit a few hours a week for some of the duties mentioned above.

Much of the work would be taking place from home, but it will also involve some face to face contact with clients, so living in or around the Ealing, Hounslow or Hillingdon boroughs would be a definite advantage.

Support Dudley residents with long-term health conditions or disabilities by providing information regarding welfare benefit applications and delivering structured self-management group programmes.

Role Responsibilities:

• Facilitate small group Welfare Benefit Guider sessions (up to 6 residents) to those who need assistance to complete their own welfare benefits application forms (e.g. Personal Independence Payments (PIP) application forms).

• Deliver 6-week Long Term Health & Wellbeing Programmes (2.5 hours per week) to groups of up to 12 residents per group with long term health conditions or disabilities to help improve their quality of life.

• Create supportive, inclusive group environments and record participant information accurately.

About You:

• Lived or caring experience of long-term physical or mental health conditions is preferred but not essential 

• Ability to empathise with clients is essential. 

• Confident speaking in group settings (in person and online) with good communication and basic IT skills.

• Able to handle sensitive information with tact.

Commitment:

• Deliver sessions at community venues across Dudley (and potentially Wolverhampton), including some evenings/weekends. 

• Deliver 3 x 6 weeks Long-term Health & Wellbeing Programmes per year

• Deliver 2 x 3-hour Welfare Benefits Guider Sessions per month

• An enhanced DBS check is required (arranged and paid for by the organisation).

A bit about this role:

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. What can you expect to be doing?

As a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following:

Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of the issues affecting blind and partially sighted people in relation to sport. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to sports clubs, sporting venues and facilities and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a sporting world without barriers.

What you’ll be doing
1. Talks to sports and physical activity providers to support and encourage them to consider the needs of blind and partially sighted people by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local leisure centres, sporting venues and sports clubs.
2. Delivering talks to raise awareness of existing sporting and physical activity opportunities for blind and partially sighted people.
3. Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service.

What skills and experience are needed?

• You’ll ideally have 1. Lived experience in playing, spectating, or delivering sport or physical activity sessions as a blind or partially sighted person. 2. Lived experience of issues affecting blind and partially sighted people in relation to sports and physical activity. 3. Be comfortable speaking to different audiences to share your sporting story, or a willingness to try with our support. 4. Have effective communication skills. 5. An outgoing friendly approach to meeting new people

We’re looking for an Assembly chair who is motivated by playing a leading role in maximising the potential of the whole CPRE community to strengthen its voice and activities for the benefit of the countryside.

The Assembly meets quarterly, usually mid-week, for about three hours. The meetings are held online. There’ll be preparation and liaising to undertake ahead of meetings, so we expect this role will require a time commitment of half a day a week, two to three days a month.

The chair of the Assembly is elected annually, can serve for a maximum of three years, and attends the trustee board meetings of the national CPRE charity
