Role Purpose 
 
Grandmentors is our award-winning, inter-generational mentoring project running in almost 20 locations across the UK.We recruit, train and support Volunteer Mentors (normally people aged 50+) who are matched 1:1 with young people (aged 16-26) facing a range of life challenges and barriers. This includes young people with experience of the care system, or with Adverse Childhood Experiences. 
 
Through our mentoring support, young people are more likely to have improved physical and mental health and wellbeing, achieve better outcomes around Education, Employment or Training, build independent living skills, and generally enhance their life chances. In 2026, we are excited to be launching the Grandmentors project in Fife.
 
We are now looking to recruit a talented, dynamic and professional Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the coordination and delivery of Grandmentors Fife.
 
The right candidate would be someone with great experience of supporting and managing volunteers, working with young people facing a range of life challenges, as well as someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate a commitment to our organisational values.

We have three services that we deliver in and around the Winchester area, and this role underpins them all to support and coordinate the charity’s activity.

Friends of the Family Services

• Mum and Young Children's Group which offers group counselling and peer support to mums, whilst their babies and preschoolers are looked after by a team of volunteers.
• 5s to 13s Befriending in which a child aged between 5 and 13 years old is matched with a volunteer who meets them weekly for a year. Time away from chaotic homelives with a positive role model, boosts wellbeing and confidence. Our team provides tailored support to the family. 
• Support for dads - counselling and peer support for dads. 

What you'll be doing

In this role you will be the first point of contact with all of our wonderful volunteers, who are critical to the success of our work.  You will work closely to support the 5s to 13s Befriending Manager and other service leads to ensure smooth delivery of event and training activities. You will also support the wider charitable activity with your strong administrative and operational skills, including organising events, managing our database and general office management. We are continuing to evolve our services within the community, and for the right candidate there is also potential for increased hours in the future.

Role Information

This role reports to the Operations Director, and is part time for 16 hours per week. We offer 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus 3 days over Christmas. The salary is a FTE equivalent of around £27,300. We are a small, flexible team who are passionate about what we do. Hybrid working is available with weekly attendance in the office.

We are looking for a Foster Scheme Coordinator to coordinate Battersea’s London Foster Scheme, working in conjunction with Operations and Clinic in sourcing suitable temporary homes for those dogs in our London site requiring foster and supporting both foster carers and dogs during their time away from Battersea.
The Foster Scheme Coordinator will maximise further growth impact and development of the Foster Scheme and the engagement and retention of our Foster Carers through the implementation of the Volunteering and Fostering strategy for Battersea.
They will provide guidance and support to existing and potential Foster Carers including managing their expectations.
Finally, they will ensure that all the behavioural and medical needs of foster dogs are met whilst on foster, sometimes dealing with contentious issues in a professional and sensitive manner.

Family Action & the Role’s Impact: 

We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQ+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to become mentors in the local community.

Project Indigo is the LGBTQ+ youth service based at Off Centre at Family Action. It is open to anyone aged 16-25 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is exploring their sexuality or gender identity. Our weekly youth group is a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet each other and participate in workshops and activities. In addition to the youth group, Project Indigo offers 1-to-1 support and advice sessions with the Project Lead. The group aims to support young people to build links with the local LGBTQ+ community, build meaningful relationships and get support around issues that are impacting them. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to support them in accessing training and support to do community-focused work. The Peer Mentoring Coordinator’s role will be to develop a new Peer Mentoring Programme, supporting older Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQ+ people in the local community.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who reside/are registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings; targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH); and an Information and Advice provision.

The role

As the Peer Mentoring Coordinator, you will develop and lead Project Indigo’s Peer Mentoring Programme. Central to the role will be understanding young mentors’ needs and goals, and providing high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process. You will further develop the Mentoring programme, consulting with relevant organisations, liaising with partners, and keeping accurate records to monitor progress for administrative and evaluative purposes.

Your impact

This role will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing young people with the opportunity to access training, qualifications and work experience while receiving high quality support tailored to their needs. You will offer sensitive supervisory support to young LGBTQ+ mentors, supporting their diverse need by maintaining an empathetic, intersectional and youth-led approach.

Your skills

You will be a confident communicator with proven experience of working in a supportive role with LGBTQ+ young people and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of issues relating to LGBTQ+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

You will be empathetic and maintain an understanding of the social issues impacting young LGBTQ+ people. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage your time and workload effectively. About the Role

You will co-ordinate and deliver a statutory independent visitor service to children and young people in care or care leavers of London.

In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a practice lead within our Children & Young People’s Service, working with young people with complex needs.
• Drive the development and delivery of substance misuse prevention and early intervention programmes in educational settings.
• Build strong relationships with schools, PRUs, youth services, and voluntary organisations.
• Represent the service at education forums, safeguarding panels, and partnership boards.
• Line manage the Targeted Intervention Coordinator and oversee the Youth Ambassadors programme.
• Provide training and consultation to professionals on issues facing young people around substance misuse.
• Deliver high-quality interventions for young people with complex needs, including assessments, care planning, and psychosocial support.
• Lead education-focused initiatives such as targeted ter 2 workshops and interventions.
• Develop resources and toolkits for schools and youth settings.
• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for educational interventions.
• Support the Team Leader with case management, audits, and service development.
• Champion safeguarding and trauma-informed practice across all activities.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in multi-agency working and building strong partnerships.
• Knowledgeable about young people’s substance misuse, safeguarding, and harm reduction.
• Skilled in delivering education programmes and managing staff or volunteers.
• Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). 
• You will need to work flexibly countywide across Buckinghamshire so must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car.

The Role
 
As a Fundraising and Product Sales Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our fundraising team and helping us achieve our targets. Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Administrator, you’ll provide high-quality administrative support, deliver excellent donor care, and assist with the coordination of events and fundraising activities across the region.
 
What You Will Be Doing
 
• Providing prompt and accurate administrative support to the fundraising team
• Setting up and maintaining supporter records on Salesforce and processing event registrations
• Coordinating monthly visit days and supporting the smooth running of events
• Preparing and sending fundraising packs, posters, tickets, and other materials
• Updating CHSW and external websites with supporter events
• Responding to supporter enquiries and delivering excellent donor care
• Assisting with proactive donor engagement, including chasing pledges and converting enquiries
• Ensuring compliance with fundraising legislation and CHSW policies
 
The Successful Candidate
 
We’re looking for someone who is:
 
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Experienced in administration within a busy environment
• Confident using Microsoft Office and databases (Salesforce experience is a bonus)
• A great communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Flexible and proactive, able to adapt to changing priorities
• Passionate about the work of CHSW and committed to our values
• Essential requirements include GCSEs (or equivalent experience), strong IT skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently. A willingness to travel and work occasional evenings/weekends is also required.
