About The Role

As Market Research Manager, you’ll take the lead on a varied portfolio of research that helps us understand our supporters, our audiences and the wider market. From brand and reputation tracking to supporter experience, campaign and event evaluation, you’ll manage projects from the initial brief through to the final recommendation, making sure the research we commission is robust, relevant and genuinely answers the question being asked. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a business issue, knowing when a brief needs challenging and choosing the right approach, whether that’s qualitative, quantitative or a mix of both.

We’re looking for an experienced market researcher who is comfortable working in a complex, data-rich environment and can move easily between strategic thinking, detailed analysis and practical delivery. You’ll need strong project management skills, experience of multi-method research and third-party commissioning, and the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be naturally curious, analytical and willing to challenge assumptions when the evidence points somewhere different. If you’re someone who can take a complicated business question, work out what we need to know, lead the right research and turn the results into a clear course of action, this is an opportunity to play a central role in how we understand our audiences and make better, evidence-led decisions.

You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there, with occasional travel (incl. For monthly team meetings).

Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity is a small charity with big ambitions. We support brain tumour patients and families across Yorkshire and fund pioneering research in our region.

Every partnership we build helps us reach more people affected by brain tumours, raise vital funds and increase awareness of the support available to families across Yorkshire.

We are now looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop and grow our relationships with businesses and organisations across Yorkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships, spotting opportunities and turning conversations into successful, long-term partnerships. You will lead on developing new corporate relationships while providing excellent stewardship to our existing supporters, helping businesses find engaging and mutually beneficial ways to support our work.

You will also contribute to the charity’s marketing and communications activity, working collaboratively with the Community Fundraiser and wider team to share compelling stories, promote campaigns and events, increase awareness of our services and strengthen YBTC’s profile across Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Partnerships & Relationship Management

• Develop and grow income from corporate partnerships across Yorkshire
• Identify and secure new corporate supporters, including Charity of the Year and other partnership opportunities
• Build strong relationships with businesses and organisations across the region
• Maintain and grow existing corporate relationships to maximise engagement and income
• Create tailored proposals, pitches and partnership opportunities that meet the needs of both YBTC and prospective partners
• Deliver excellent stewardship, ensuring corporate supporters feel valued, engaged and connected to our work
• Develop a strong pipeline of prospective and existing corporate partners

Business Development & Income Growth

• Proactively identify businesses and sectors with the potential to support YBTC

Person Specification:

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

• Experience of developing and managing relationships in a fundraising, business development, sales, account management, partnerships or similar role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and inspire a wide range of people
• Experience of developing new relationships and identifying opportunities
• Ability to create persuasive proposals, presentations or pitches
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships

Founded in 2003, Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity provides vital support to brain tumour patients and their loved ones, whilst also funding innovative clinical research in our region.

We fund innovative research and provide vital support to patients and families across the region. Around 15 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour in Yorkshire every week.

European Food Business Manager (12-month FTC)

About the role 

As our European Food Business Manager, you’ll help Compassion in World Farming end factory farming and support a more humane, sustainable food system. 

You’ll build trusted relationships with leading food businesses across Europe, encouraging practical improvements in farm animal welfare and helping companies reduce reliance on animal-sourced products where this supports our programme goals. 

As our European Food Business Manager, you’ll be responsible for: 

• Building positive relationships with food businesses across Europe - Using a consultative, evidence-led approach to encourage meaningful public commitments on farm animal welfare, including cage-free systems, better chicken welfare and improved fish welfare.
• Supporting sustainable food system change - Helping companies develop practical, measurable targets to reduce reliance on meat, fish, dairy and eggs where aligned with Compassion’s work.
• Turning commitments into progress - Working with colleagues and external partners to support implementation, reporting, transparency and benchmarking through Compassion’s tools and resources.
• Representing Compassion externally - Contributing to industry meetings, forums and collaborative projects that help improve animal welfare and food system resilience.

About you

To succeed as our European Food Business Manager, you’ll bring strong relationship management skills and the confidence to influence, negotiate and support others towards shared goals. You’ll be comfortable working with external partners or businesses, adapting your communication style for different audiences and managing several workstreams at once. 

Skills and experience you’ll need to bring as our European Food Business Manager: 

• Experience of building and managing positive relationships with external partners, clients, businesses or stakeholders.
• Experience in sales, marketing, communications, procurement, supply chain, CSR, sustainability, food business or another relevant commercial or advocacy setting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messages for internal and external audiences.
• Good project and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise, take initiative and meet deadlines.
• An interest in farm animal welfare, sustainable food systems, corporate sustainability or food industry supply chains would be helpful, but we are also open to transferable experience.

About Woman's Trust

The charity was established in 1996 to meet the gap in specialist mental health services. Woman’s Trust is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. About the role

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will establish and lead Woman’s Trust’s policy and public affairs function. She will grow the organisation’s influence with UK and London government, Parliament, NHS systems, commissioners and sector partners so that the voices and experiences of women and children affected by domestic abuse shape policy, commissioning and practice.

The postholder will develop and deliver an evidence-led influencing strategy; own a focused portfolio of policy priorities; build and manage senior stakeholder relationships; produce high-quality analysis, briefings and consultation responses; and provide timely political and public affairs advice to the CEO, Chair, trustees and senior colleagues.

Working across services, data, communications and fundraising, she will ensure Woman’s Trust’s external positions are grounded in frontline expertise, robust evidence and appropriately supported survivor involvement. She will identify opportunities for the organisation to influence debate and policy at the intersection of domestic abuse, women’s mental health, health inequalities and public services.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Information and Education Manager to lead our patient information and education work, ensuring people affected by pulmonary fibrosis can access clear, accurate, trusted and accessible information when they need it most.

This is a strategic and hands-on role. You will shape APF’s information and education offer across digital, print and live formats, develop and improve patient information, lead a review of our website content, and ensure our resources remain evidence-based, accessible and shaped by lived experience.

You will also oversee our education programme and line manage our Education and Events Co-ordinator, helping us deliver high-quality events and education that respond to the needs of people affected by pulmonary fibrosis.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in health information, patient education or health content. You will be an excellent writer and editor, able to make complex information clear and accessible, with the strategic thinking and project management skills to turn insight and evidence into practical improvements.

We’re looking for a proactive Production Manager to drive the planning, coordination and delivery of digital, creative and content projects that support our engagement goals.

This is a key delivery role within our Digital delivery and planning team as part of the Engagement department. You will help to traffic and coordinate a wide range of small‑to‑medium projects, ensuring work is well‑planned, on track and clearly communicated.

You’ll play an important role in stakeholder management, keeping projects within agreed timeframes and resourcing constraints, while supporting the smooth flow of work across our department.

You’ll work closely with digital project managers and specialists within our team and stakeholders across the organisation, helping turn ideas into high‑quality output.

What you will do

You’ll be responsible for:

• Reviewing incoming briefs and leading an effective triage process to ensure work is prioritised, scoped and resourced appropriately
• Working closely with people across the team to ensure we communicate effectively with teams who commission work with us, from across the organisation
• Account management and monitoring of progress, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders at every stage
• Managing the day‑to‑day traffic, our production inbox and updates, scheduling and coordination of projects, working together with people across our department and external suppliers
• Supporting the digital project managers and senior leads by:
  • Developing and maintaining project plans and scope of work outlines
  • Writing up meeting notes and actions
  • Undertaking basic risk assessments and reporting 
• End‑to‑end coordination and management of smaller projects where relevant
• Effective resource management, reporting and evaluation to inform better planning
• Driving continuous improvement in production workflows, helping to embed consistent, efficient and scalable processes across the team
• Supporting with the running of the quarterly planning cycle, including team coordination and communications to all relevant stakeholders across the organisation
• Monitoring and reporting on progress

Role: Oil and Gas Campaign Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hybrid working. Cornwall or London office three days per week, home working two days per week.

Job Purpose

The Oil and Gas Campaign Manager will manage and deliver our campaign to end new oil and gas drilling in UK waters, and drive forward our Ocean Alliance Against Offshore Drilling, a coalition of over 70 organisations united behind this goal. 

Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, this role will be responsible for the design and practical delivery of innovative, engaging, and clear campaign plans to meet Oceana’s goals to deliver an end to new oil and gas drilling in UK waters. 

Eligible candidates should have proven experience in managing and delivering complex public campaigns to drive national policy change. They must be passionate, and able to develop and implement creative and bold campaign activities, alongside our small but experienced team. 

The position will be hybrid, based three days per week (Tues-Thurs) in Oceana’s UK offices in Newquay, Cornwall or Paddington, London. Regular national, and occasional international, travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations, including: Washington, DC.

Responsibilities 

• Develop, manage and deliver Oceana UK’s Oil and Gas campaigns, taking responsibility for their quality, timeliness and success. 

• Contribute and advise on campaign strategies through annual planning and budgeting process, and through on-going detailed project planning. 

• Design and manage delivery of all of Oceana UK’s Oil and Gas campaign activities, including (but not limited to) campaign actions and launches, public mobilisations, digital actions, NGO partnerships and allies, coalitions and potential legal challenges. 

• Plan all projects in detail, securing approval of all details, and documenting clear methodology, roles, responsibilities, and timelines in advance. 

• Oversee the successful management of the Ocean Alliance Against Offshore Drilling, growing the alliance in number and impact. 

• Manage the campaign calendar and budget, ensuring that all campaign deliverables are managed and delivered on time and to budget, with any updates accurately reflected in the quarterly reforecast process. 

• Monitor and evaluate progress against plans, ensuring effective delivery of campaign objectives. 

• Work with Science and Research colleagues to ensure that the Oil and Gas campaigns have scientifically robust foundations and evidence. 

• Work with Policy colleagues to ensure campaign plans deliver effective lobbying and advocacy toward our goals, including through drafting briefings and letters, meeting and engaging decision makers, planning and attending events, and responding to consultations. 

• Support the Communications team to ensure our campaigning plans and delivery are effectively reflected to engage supporters and other relevant audiences. 

• In collaboration with the Communications team, manage consultants to design and deliver creative, digital, and design assets in support of campaign actions. 

• Collaborate internally with UK Leadership Team and other relevant colleagues, including internationally, taking on board all relevant input, to ensure strong campaign impact. 

• Commission and manage consultants to deliver campaign activities and events. 

• Build strong external relationships and represent Oceana UK to ensure we advance our campaign goals with a wide range of stakeholders, including civil servants, politicians, NGOs, and businesses. 

• Be spokesperson for these campaigns, representing Oceana externally in the media, social media, events, relevant networks, with partners, and in meetings. 

• Line manage the Oil and Gas Campaign Officer, offering day-to-day support and learning, as well as longer term career development. 

• Be present in person in the London or Cornwall office 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs), promoting a positive working culture. 

• Help to draft timely, accurate and compelling funder and supporter reporting. 

• Ensure a strong commitment to the organisation's values and vision, as set out by Oceana globally. 

• Travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally, to meet with team members and wider internal and external stakeholders. 

• Other responsibilities as appropriate and necessary to achieve campaign and organisational objectives.

     Candidate Requirements

     Education and work experience:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in campaigning, ideally toward ocean or environmental goals (essential).

• Experience managing environmental protection or energy related campaigns in the UK, with an understanding of the main issues, processes and stakeholders involved.

• Experience turning complex policy issues into innovative and engaging campaigns.

• Degree or masters in a related field (preferred).

• Line management experience.

     Skills and knowledge: 

• Familiarity with energy and environmental regulations, legislation and policies in the UK, as well as with the key institutions and decision-making processes.

• Proficiency at understanding and distilling complex scientific issues for campaigning purposes.

• Excellent understanding of UK parliamentary and political processes and engaging in them for campaign advancement

• Excellent project management skills, with demonstrable experience managing and prioritising multiple workstreams, tasks, projects and timelines effectively.

The Research & Evaluation Officer, Children and Young People is part of the Research & Evaluation team with a focus on supporting authentic co-creation and young people’s engagement. The role supports the Head of Research & Evaluation and Reading Rewired project team, as well as our programme teams supporting children’s and young people’s reading, in exploring methods of engaging more young people in reading and demonstrating the value, reach and impact of the Charity’s work in the delivery of reading-related benefits.

Travel across England will be required as part of this role, with some co-creation sessions expected to take place during the evenings or at weekends, depending on scheduling preferences of the young people involved in the project.

Purpose of the post

The Research & Evaluation Officer, Children and Young People role will deliver co-creation activity with young people aged 10-16, related to the Arts Council England (ACE)-funded new Reading Rewired project, which aims to develop young people’s reading engagement in libraries. As part of this activity, the role will:

·Work with The Reading Agency, Libraries Rising, immersive digital creative studio RamJam and nine library authorities across England to develop youth-led approaches to reader development in libraries, to enhance young people’s skills, reading engagement and library use, and support library skills and confidence in working with young people.

·Be responsible for championing youth participation across the Reading Rewired project, ensuring young people are central to the design and decision making of the programme. 

This role will also support wider functions across our children and young people’s work, combining a mix of skills and experience including co-production, research, evaluation and programme development. 

What you will do

Co-creation

·Design and deliver co-creation activities with young people aged 10-16 for the new Reading Rewired project, ensuring the project listens and responds to young people, particularly those who are often left out of conversations around reading.

·Facilitate co-creation sessions alongside library staff in nine library authorities across England: Camden, Devon, Kent, Kirklees, Knowsley, Norfolk, North Northamptonshire, Sandwell and Stockton, supporting library skills and confidence in working with young people.

·Work alongside immersive creative studio RamJam to deliver co-creation sessions focused on digital engagement tools (for example, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, etc.).

·Analyse data collected through co-creation sessions, producing outputs such as overview reports or presentations of insights to key stakeholders.

·Use insights gained through co-creation to support the development of youth-led approaches to reader development in libraries.

·Remain an advocate for uplifting youth voices within the Reading Rewired project and in relation to the Charity’s wider work with children and young people.

Evaluation support and delivery

·Support with the maintenance of a robust, consistent organisational approach to data collection, programme monitoring and evaluation, ensuring methods and outputs align with Reading Rewired project outcomes and Arts Council England reporting requirements.

·Day-to-day oversight of research and evaluation datasets related to Reading Rewired, including answering queries from and providing support to the project team and our delivery partners.

·Support with the design and delivery of wider organisational research and evaluation and data insight projects, with specific reference to our work with children and young people.

·Support with the delivery of actionable data insights to inform evidence-based decision making around future project development in relation to the Charity’s work with children and young people.

·Handle data in line with The Reading Agency’s data protection, data storage, data sharing, and data collection policies and protocols.

Research

·Support with consultation and qualitative research in relation to wider organisational research and evaluation and data insight projects, with specific reference to our work with children and young people.

·Remain aware of key research developments, evidence and methodologies relevant to the Charity’s delivery of activity supporting children and young people, sharing these with colleagues where appropriate. 

·Contribute up-to-date, reliable content for the research and impact sections of The Reading Agency’s website, newsletters and other external communications, with specific reference to our work with children and young people.

·Contribute to the delivery of an original research programme, as led by the Head of Research & Evaluation, to inform and guide the work of The Reading Agency and raise our profile in this field. 

General Support

·Represent The Reading Agency’s Research & Evaluation team at meetings, events and conferences as required.

·Contribute to internal planning and project development.

·Carry out other projects or duties as may be requested by The Reading Agency management where capacity allows. 

What you will need to know

Qualifications:

·Relevant education, qualifications and/or working experience in the areas of social or qualitative research (including co-creation or participatory approaches), data analysis, or evaluation.

Skills/Knowledge:

·Excellent understanding of appropriate methods and approaches for working directly with young people using co-creation, co-production or participatory approaches. 

·Understanding of systems and process for analysing data plus awareness of effective research tools, in particular designing and delivering appropriate methods for use with children and young people.

·Effective project management skills.

·Strong understanding of safeguarding and experience of supporting teams to adhere to policies as well as supporting risk assessments.

·Competence in Microsoft Office applications and qualitative data analysis platforms such as Nvivo or equivalent.

·Able to deliver results in a highly organised manner.

·Writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively to different audiences.

Experience:

·Experience of delivering co-creation, co-production or participatory and/or action research, including translating data into tangible learnings or outputs. 

·Experience in working with young people from diverse backgrounds, and of facilitating meaningful opportunities for young people to influence decision making, being an advocate for youth voice.

·Experience of working in or liaising with schools, libraries or youth organisations desirable.

·Experience designing questionnaires and surveys, using Survey Monkey or similar platforms, desirable.

·Able to work effectively independently and as a member of a team, where colleagues work in separate locations and communicate via email, Teams and Zoom.

This role is offered on a fixed term contract (12 months) and is subject to a DBS check. To be considered for this role you must have the right to live and work in the UK for your application to be progressed.Unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer visa sponsorship.
