About the role
As Individual Giving Lead – Acquisition, you will:

This role focuses on connecting people, projects and learning, rather than carrying sole responsibility for delivery. The post-holder coordinates systems, supports students and ensures quality, while working as part of a wider team.

The role operates across two interconnected strands:
Student learning, insight and impact

Practical delivery and capacity-building

What You Will Do
1. Coordinate the Student Volunteering Programme

We currently have an opening for a Community Fundraiser, to be based in the Mid-North Wales and West Midlands region.
As the Community Fundraiser covering Mid-North Wales and West Midlands, you will play a crucial role in helping the charity meet its strategic plans and objectives, which include campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.
Your role will be to generate and grow our income through community fundraising activities, contributing to a regional team target of more than £1 million.

Children’s and Families’ Worker
Community of St Paulinus, Sheffield Cathedral
We are seeking a creative, relational and passionate Children’s and Families’ Worker to join our newly forming team, working at the heart of the Cathedral’s life and mission with children, families and local communities.
Based at the Cathedral, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering engaging children’s work, including Sunday provision, early years activities, and creative opportunities that help children grow in their Christian faith and feel at home within the worshipping life of the Cathedral. You will recruit, support and develop volunteer teams, work closely with Cathedral colleagues, and help create welcoming spaces where children and families can explore faith together.
You will also contribute to the wider mission of the Cathedral through the Community of St Paulinus, supporting the development of new worshipping communities for young children and their families, and working in partnership with local churches and the Centenary Project Network.
This is an exciting opportunity for a practising Christian with experience of working with children—whether in a church, school, youth work or community setting—who is passionate about children’s spiritual development, inclusive mission and creative engagement with families, particularly in areas of social and economic disadvantage.

Wells Cathedral’s Marketing & Communications Team delivers direction and support across all areas of Cathedral life, including visitor experience, fundraising, worship and music, events, venue hire, library and archives, as well as our Cathedral Shop and Loft Café. The Team covers the full scope of marketing and communications activities, including researching and identifying target audiences, designing strategic marketing plans, generating earned media exposure through PR activity, developing and implementing brand identity, and delivering integrated campaign creative across social, digital, print, broadcast and OOH channels.
Reporting the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Assistant will play a significant role in supporting the delivery of all of this, effectively and efficiently, across the organisation. - Supporting efficient workflow by responding to incoming requests and scheduling projects

Employment status: Permanent contract of employment

Hours of work: full-time, 35 working hours per week (Monday to Friday). Flexible working will be considered.
Remuneration: £25,000 per annum, payable on the 24th of the month or the nearest working day thereto
Discount: A discount of 10% is available from the Cathedral Shop and The Loft Café.
Parking: Limited parking is available in the Cathedral car park. Cars are parked at the risk of the owner.

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison?
Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Leeds. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role is a fixed term role until 31/03/2027 with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to contract renewal.
The role will be prison-based.
