About the role

This is an exciting and varied, relationship-focused role within a successful corporate partnerships team. Working with the Head of Corporate and Employer Partnerships, you’ll help manage partner relationships, develop funding proposals, track income, and identify new business opportunities to support strategic growth.

You’ll also lead corporate volunteering initiatives, creating meaningful engagement opportunities with Spear trainees through workshops, mock interviews, and visits. From planning to follow-up, you’ll ensure a high-quality experience while supporting events and wider engagement. This role suits someone organised, proactive, and confident building relationships, who is motivated to make a tangible difference in a mission-driven, faith-based organisation.

About Action Tutoring
At Action Tutoring, we believe every child should be given the opportunity to succeed in school. But in the UK today, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds are less likely to 

achieve the grades they need to progress in life. This isn't because they are any less able; they have less access to the tools to help them reach their potential. 
 

We don't think this is fair. We know tutoring is an effective way of improving academic attainment and so we harness the power of volunteer tutors to bridge the gap and ensure this help can be accessed by every pupil who needs it, not just those who can afford it.

The Director of Finance and Operations works closely with the CEO to build the organisation, operations and systems to enable us to scale and respond to emerging opportunities. A critical strategic role, they are a hands-on financial leader that brings strategic insight and challenge. Duties and responsibilities
 
Finance

Lead financial strategy and long-term planning to support the development of the organisation, as well as holding overall responsibility for finance processes and controls. 
 

Operations

Drive continuous improvement of operations to increase productivity, quality of delivery and value for money. With the operations team, provide oversight of all operational matters to ensure compliance and the smooth running of the organisation.
 

HR and team development

Action Tutoring has a Head of People & Culture who oversees day-to-day HR operations. However, with a permanent staff team of around 60, this role holds strategic responsibility for talent development and HR processes. This includes training and development strategy, effective diversity and inclusion policies and regular reviews of performance and reward systems.
 

Senior Leadership 

As one of the four members of the Senior Leadership Team of Action Tutoring, you will contribute to leadership decision-making, representing your own areas of expertise but also advocating for the best strategic options for the charity as a whole. 
 

Legal compliance, risk management and governance

This role ensures legal compliance of the organisation.
 

Line management

Overseeing a small team, this role has direct line management responsibility for the Head of People & Culture, the Operations Manager, and the Senior Finance Officer. You will also, with support from your team, manage relationships with external support agencies, including the outsourced management accountant, IT support company, and HR and employment law consultancy.
 

This role also plays a key part in a number of internal working groups, including leading the Digital Systems working group and serving as a member of both the Sustainability and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working groups.

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust

We are seeking a dynamic and confident fundraiser to be our Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.

Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially with our programmes which have gone from supporting 11,000 young people a year to 14,000 in the 24/25 programme year. We have secured a relatively stable income of c.£6m over several years, and in the last two years this has grown to £7m+. Our organisational strategy, which takes us to 2030/31, will continue this fundraising trajectory with a need to increase annual income on a sustained basis to £12m. With corporate income accounting for nearly half our fundraised income, there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the corporate world for building strategic partnerships with The Sutton Trust.

Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure corporate support. Our highly engaged Chairperson has a commercial background and is keen to leverage contacts in the corporate world, giving a network of prospective contacts to explore.

The role and team

As Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager, you will be an experienced partnership manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking along with experience in securing and stewarding strategic partnerships with corporates and their associated corporate foundations. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset for income generation, able to confidently manage competing demands to balance securing new partnerships and delivering high quality account management to your portfolio of current and prospective supporters.

The role will lead a portfolio of corporate partnerships, focused on delivering shared strategic goals to increase social mobility in the workplace and supporting a more socio-economically diverse workforce for the future. The role will be the point-person within the Development Team for organisational events, working closely with key colleagues in our marketing & events and programme functions to support delivery of high-quality events. Main duties
New Business

• Personally scope, develop and secure new five-figure+ corporate partnerships, aiming for a diverse and robust portfolio of partners with multi-year commitments, working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, other senior staff, and senior volunteers appropriately to secure and steward.

• Proactively approach new business development within the corporate sector, cultivating relationships and networks to grow awareness of The Sutton Trust and secure major gifts.

• Support the Head of Corporate Partnerships in their work with senior volunteers to develop a strong prospect pipeline for major corporate gifts, including support for network mapping to leverage connections and cultivate prospective funders.

Events, Account Management and Development

• Manage and grow the Trust’s leadership and partner level corporate partnerships in your portfolio, including leveraging existing relationships to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.

• Appropriately leverage senior staff and volunteers to secure multi-lateral relationships with corporate partners and prospects, with the aim of retaining partnerships and uplifting income.

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Experience in successfully securing, managing, and developing corporate partnerships at five-figures-plus level, from initial prospect research to contracting and ongoing stewardship.

• Experience successfully securing and/or managing corporate-charity partnerships, including engaging senior leadership on both sides to deliver strategic goals and mutual benefit.

• Experience network mapping and networking to build and manage relationships that lead to corporate donations to non-profits, particularly with senior non-profit volunteers.

Job Summary  

Rape Crisis England & Wales is the feminist charity working to end child sexual abuse, rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and all other forms of sexual violence.

We are looking for a Finance Officer who can work in a fast paced and demanding role to support the organisation. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial. This role is responsible for ensuring that all financial matters are handled responsibly and involves processing transactions and journals, supporting month-end close, preparing financial reports for team members, and checking financial transactions for corrections and coding errors.

You will support payment runs on a bi-weekly basis and assist with payroll preparation, working closely with the Freelance Finance Manager and colleagues across the organisation.

This role follows a remote working arrangement, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Head of Operations and will involve working with colleagues across the organisation on the following tasks

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain books of prime entry, to include managing receipts and invoices and associated financial records, files and supporting documentation.

· Process accounts payable end-to-end, ensuring accurate and timely payment of all authorised expenditure (bi-weekly payment runs).

· Prepare sales invoices as required and support credit control to ensure debtors pay promptly.

· Maintain an accurate and up-to-date nominal ledger, ensuring correct coding and prompt correction of errors.

· Reconcile key control accounts regularly (including bank, salaries, PAYE), maintaining clear working papers, analysis and audit trail.

· Reconcile senior managers’ expenses monthly, ensuring compliance with internal processes.

· Prepare payroll information and monthly payroll for review and sign-off by the Freelance Finance Manager/authorised approver and set payroll payments up on the banking system.

· Prepare month-end journals (including prepayments and payroll journals) and support the month-end close process.

About the role

This is a wide-ranging position, and your key areas of responsibility will include:

· To manage a multi-disciplinary team, including paid staff and volunteers from different professions and disciplines and provide professional and clinical supervision to qualified clinicians and trainees in the service including, clinical/counselling psychologists.

· This role may also include providing remote clinical supervision, support and advice as well as line management and guidance around risk and safeguarding to clinicians across our other centres as required.  

· To ensure that Freedom from Torture's clinical model continues to be fully rolled out, with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence-based practice for addressing PTSD and other mental health impacts of torture.

· Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced -based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit-based services.

· To formulate psychological treatment and management plans for survivors of torture and to provide psychological treatment for a small caseload, using a range of psychological interventions in line with our clinical pathway that draws on a range of evidence based models for the treatment of survivors of torture.

· Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.

About you

This is an important role within Freedom from Torture. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It is a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate clinical standards and external regulatory bodies. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.

To be considered for this role you must be a Psychologist registered with HCPC and have qualified with a doctorate or equivalent in either clinical or counselling psychology. You must have professional experience of working with clients with complex PTSD and have post-qualification experience of using evidence-based trauma focused therapy models. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum, both in terms of pre-flight experience and the experience of living in exile. You must have previous management and supervision experience and be able to provide demonstrable examples of how you have successfully led and influenced clinical teams within community or health care settings.

We also offer access to additional therapy training including NET and EMDR,  as well as access to high quality clinical supervision and an opportunity to hold a small case load alongside your management practice

You will also have the opportunity to closely with the Head of Clinical Services and to attend a range of forums and working groups to support the clinical development of Freedom from Torture.

Working with the Head of Trusts and Statutory Income to lead and deliver the strategy for the Trusts and Statutory programme raising over £2 million every year and developing ambitions plan for growth.
