The Role

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Engagement, you will be responsible for:

• Creating, delivering, and evaluating our Individual Giving
• Building a diverse and sustainable portfolio of individual giving income streams, including regular giving, appeals, raffle, lottery, digital fundraising, mid-level giving, and legacy gifts.
• Planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns that integrate with marketing, communications, and retail initiatives.
• Using data and insight to drive performance, monitor results, and develop strong cases for support.
• Supporting branches and volunteers in delivering individual giving initiatives.
• Developing supporter journeys that encourage loyalty, growth, and long-term engagement.
• Ensuring all activities comply with fundraising legislation, best practice, and data protection law.

This is a hands-on role, that will allow you to take ownership of your programme while collaborating across the Trust to deliver impactful campaigns and initiatives.

In this role, you’ll be working on the In Memory programme within Individual Giving (IG) to inspire people to donate and engage them in a meaningful way, that reflects their unique motivation for supporting the charity. As part of the team, you’ll be innovative in a changing fundraising and cultural landscape, to achieve ambitious annual income targets.

You'll assist with and when required, project manage areas of the In Memory supporter journeys to drive acquisition and retention, ensuring supporters have the best possible experience.

What you’ll do

• Assist with and, when required, project manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offline. 

• Support the Senior IG Officer in creating and delivering successful supporter journeys.

• Manage relationships with creative, print and response handling agencies working on campaigns.

• Support the Senior Individual Giving Officers in achieving strategic objectives, monitoring income and expenditure and using database analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme (with a focus on the In Mem programme).

• Integrate the direct marketing programme into Fundraising and Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan.

• Manage the administrative tasks for the Individual Giving team, such as processing invoices, ordering stock and updating key documents and materials both online and offline.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience of successfully scheduling and managing campaigns to deliver results against agreed objectives and targets. 

• Excellent copy-writing, creative and proofreading skills for both online and offline materials. 

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools, platforms and techniques to work collaboratively and productively. 

• Ability to review and evaluate data and campaign results and pull out key trends to inform future work. 

• Logical thought processes and attention to detail.

Summary of the Role
The Director of Development (DoD) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all fundraising income and supporter engagement activity at DSWF. The role is accountable for delivering sustainable, diversified revenue growth aligned with DSWF’s mission across conservation, education and art, while building lasting relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, corporate partners and senior supporters.

Working in close partnership with the CEO, COO, CFO, and Board of Trustees, the DoD translates organisational strategy into compelling Cases for Support, effective fundraising plans and measurable outcomes. The postholder leads and develops a high-performing Development team, ensuring strong delivery and continuous improvement.

As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), the Director shares responsibility for shaping the Foundation’s overall direction, contributing to governance, organisational culture and high-level strategic decision-making.

This is a pivotal position combining senior management with hands-on major gift fundraising and team leadership. Central to enabling the Foundation’s long-term impact and growth, the DoD is a driving force behind DSWF’s ability to successfully deliver its mission to protect endangered species in Africa and Asia.

Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
•Lead on the development, implementation, delivery and continuous refinement of DSWF’s multi-year Development strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and long-term financial sustainability.
•Advise the CEO and Trustees on fundraising performance, trends, risks and opportunities.
•Own and articulate the organisational Case/s for Support, ensuring a clear, compelling narrative that integrates conservation impact, education outcomes and artistic heritage.
•Working closely with the rest of the SMT, embed a culture of philanthropy across the organisation, enabling all team members, Trustees and ambassadors to actively support income generation.
•As part of SMT, be jointly responsible for over-arching decisions regarding the direction of the Foundation, its mission, strategies and culture.

Major & Strategic Fundraising
•Working closely with the CEO, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of DSWF’s most significant donors and prospects, including major individual donors, trusts and foundations, legacy campaigns and strategic partners.
•Responsible, alongside the CEO, for the overall management of all corporate partnerships and sponsors.
•Design and lead bespoke solicitation strategies for new high-value prospects, involving the CEO, Trustees and senior colleagues as appropriate.
•Oversee the development of structured approaches to major giving, trusts & foundations, legacy giving and corporate partnerships.
•Have strategic oversight of lower-level individual giving programmes including appeals, regular individual giving and adoption schemes.
•Be responsible and ensure best practice in prospect research, due diligence, stewardship and ethical fundraising.

Team Leadership & Management
•Lead, manage and develop the Development team, setting clear objectives, KPIs and income targets aligned to the overall strategy.
•Ensure the structure, resourcing and capabilities of the team are fit for purpose and scalable as income grows.
•Coach and support all those within the organisation that are responsible for fundraising, providing professional leadership, mentoring and performance management.
•Lead on all training and offer career progression for all staff within the Development team.
•Foster strong collaboration between Development and all departments, including; Policy and Programmes, Marketing and Communications, Education, Art, Finance and Operations.

Supporter Engagement
•Represent DSWF externally with senior donors, partners and sector peers, enhancing the organisation’s profile and credibility.
•Oversee a high-quality supporter journey across all touchpoints, ensuring donors feel valued, informed and connected to impact including lower-level individual giving.
•Champion systematic all level stewardship, donor care and impact reporting to maximise retention, lifetime value and advocacy.
•Ensure accurate, GDPR-compliant data capture and effective use of CRM systems (Beacon) to drive insight-led fundraising.

Events
•This senior role will have overall responsibility for any fundraising or donor profile events (at present this would include the Wildlife Ball which is an annual fundraising/profile raising event that takes place at the Dorchester Hotel).
•Working closely with the rest of SMT, this role will direct the Development team to ensure that all events deliver optimum, high level donor experiences and are run professionally (with logistics and operational support from the COO and team).
•This role will have overall responsibility for ensuring the CEO has all information required to support engagement with donors at all events.

Governance & Reporting
•Report on Development performance to the CEO, SMT and Trustees, providing clear analysis against agreed targets.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
•Significant senior leadership experience in fundraising and development within complex, mission-driven non-profit organisations, at Director level or equivalent, where philanthropy is critical to organisational impact and growth.
•Significant experience in leading and delivering long-term development strategies, with a demonstrable track record of translating organisational ambition into clear, costed and achievable fundraising plans.
•Proven ability to set strategic direction across multiple income streams, establish measurable objectives and KPIs and use data and insight to monitor performance, evaluate impact and adapt approach over time.
•Experience of driving sustained income growth, strengthening donor pipelines, and delivering measurable outcomes aligned to organisational priorities and long-term sustainability.

What does this role do?
As Community Fundraising Officer, you’ll:

• link the rehoming centre with supporters in the local community, developing relationships with local individuals, businesses, community groups and clubs,

To be successful in this role, you’ll need some community fundraising experience, with the ability to build connections and connect with the local community. To do this, you’ll need excellent communication skills and be able to confidently approach and interact with supporters. While you’ll be a key part of the rehoming centre team, you’ll be regularly be working independently, so strong organisational skills and a proactive approach is essential.

This role is based at the rehoming centre, and the post holder will spend lots of time in the community meeting supporters. The working pattern is typically Monday and Tuesdays, but flexibility is required and is likely to involve some evening and weekend work, depending on the nature of the work.

Good computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and database are essential.

Working in the not-for-profit or care sector and proven success in achieving and exceeding fundraising targets would be preferable.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Regional Gifts in Wills Fundraising Officer to be one of the faces of legacy fundraising, and lead key areas of legacy activity, with a focus on inspiring individuals to remember the Woodland Trust in their will.

This role is advertised as part-time, 22.5 hours per week.

The Role:

• Manage and grow a pipeline of legacy supporters across all stages of the donor journey, increasing pledger numbers, loyalty, and legacy income.
• Act as a visible ambassador for gifts in wills by leading stewardship and prospecting events, delivering talks and briefings, and engaging confidently with supporters and colleagues through one-to-one and group communications.
• Provide personalised and sensitive responses to gifts in wills enquiries, ensuring an excellent supporter experience and strong relationship-building.

Working across Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Legacies, you’ll shape proposals, reports and engagement materials that show both the human impact and the value of supporting Alzheimer’s Society.
This is a role that blends creativity with delivery. You’ll need to think strategically, write persuasively and manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment where quality and deadlines matter.
You’ll also lead and develop an Impact Communications Officer, working closely with another Impact Communications Manager within our High Value Operations team to shape and strengthen this specialist function.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
What you'll do
You'll help our high value fundraising teams secure support, grow income and build long term partnerships. You’ll combine creative thinking with strong delivery, making sure communications are engaging, clear and effective.
You’ll lead on writing proposals, pitches, reports and stewardship materials for high value audiences, shaping messaging and turning complex information into persuasive content that drives action.
You’ll also work across the organisation to gather insight, identify opportunities and bring together stories, evidence and data that demonstrate impact. Alongside this, you’ll support donor meetings, presentations and events with high quality communications that build trust and confidence.
