About the role

As a Lead Worker (Intensive Case Management), you will deliver intensive, person-centred, and holistic support to people who are disadvantaged and need significant support to end their homelessness. This is an incredibly varied role as you will offer practical support such as help to attend external appointments, open bank accounts, and obtain IDs, but you will also work closely with our internal clinical psychologists to help your members to recognise their strengths and build resilience.

• You have experience supporting people with complex trauma and multiple needs including mental health, physical health and substance misuse difficulties, a history of multiple exclusion and social isolation.

The role

This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior, hands-on role within an innovative early help service working within a small, dynamic team to make a tangible difference to the lives of children and their families. As a Senior Family Support Worker, you will deliver flexible,and therapeutically minded support to families often facing multiple and complex challenges, drawing on your experience to provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues. You will build trusted relationships through home visits, school meetings, and provide practical support—facilitating parents and carers to feel empowered to strengthen routines, manage behaviour, improve attendance, and access services. This innovative project is backed by the GLA’s Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP), and represents a bold step forward in tackling homelessness across North London. SHP are building a dynamic, compassionate, and forward-thinking team to bring this vision to life. 

St. John’s Mansions will offer 19 beautifully finished self-contained studio flats, designed to support residents in their journey from rough sleeping and emergency accommodation to independent living. With a stay of up to 24 months, residents will receive tailored, high-intensity support to help them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive independently. 

The service will operate 24/7, with a welcoming reception and dedicated staff & clients spaces to enable both structured interventions and spontaneous, meaningful engagement. SHP will be working not only within Islington but in partnership with five North London boroughs - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Westminster. You’ll hold a caseload of clients and take the lead on delivering person centred, strengths based support that is grounded in PIE and trauma informed approaches. This includes completing holistic assessments, co-producing support plans and risk management plans, and working consistently towards move on goals. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in the day to day running of the service, working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to maintain a safe, well managed environment, respond to emerging needs, and ensure each client receives coordinated, high quality support that supports their journey into independent living.

Job Title: Heritage Advisor, Nature in Sacred Places (NiSP)

Duration: Fixed Term, 15 months (development phase)

Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: £33,300 per annum, plus pension and benefits

Location: Homebased within England

The Churches Conservation Trust is a partner in the Nature in Sacred Places (NISP) National Lottery Heritage Fund project. This is a £5.2m project with an 18-month development phase followed by a four-year delivery phase (subject to securing further funding), in partnership with Natural England, the Church of England, Churches Conservation Trust and Caring for God’s Acre. NISP will build on principles established by the Bats in Churches Project, a previous project supported by the Heritage Fund which worked with faith groups, community volunteers, young people and professionals across three main strands, Broadening engagement, Supporting practical action and Building professional capacity.

Overall job purpose

As a member of the Nature in Sacred Places project team, the post-holder will be responsible for:

• Providing advice on the management, conservation, maintenance and repairs of historic buildings and of the structures within their curtilage (e.g. memorials, gravestones, walls and gates, path etc.);
• Provide advice on conservation and cleaning of built heritage and artefacts, helping to plan solutions to enable better management, greater access and enjoyment, providing specialist advice on making changes to, and the repair of, historic places of worship and obtaining necessary permissions.

Working with other project partners the post holder will develop a template for Conservation Management Plan of both historic and natural environments that is proportionate and appropriate for volunteers to adopt and deliver.

The role
As a Training and Events Coordinator, you’ll support the planning and delivery of a busy portfolio of online, hybrid, and in-person training courses and events. You’ll manage multiple activities at once, ensuring excellent standards of organisation, communication, and customer service.
You’ll work closely with delegates, trainers, speakers, and internal teams often at a senior level so confidence, attention to detail, and adaptability are key.
 
Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of training courses (predominantly online)
• Support the operational delivery of events and conferences
• Manage bookings, databases, inboxes, and event systems accurately
• Set up and support online events, including live troubleshooting
• Liaise with venues, facilities, and IT teams for in-person and hybrid events

 
About you
You’ll have experience in events coordination, training administration, or a similar role, alongside:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and online event platforms
• A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn

Salary: £29,000 – £32,000 per annum

Working hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week - hybrid role: can work up to 2 days from home by arrangement)

What will you do in the role?

• Assess client needs and suitability for accommodation in the private rented sector and/or supported housing via in-person meetings 
• Provide advice, guidance and support over the phone, in person, and via email to clients and stakeholders
• Arrange viewings of suitable properties with clients and liaise with agents and landlords
• Make referrals to hostels and supported housing
• Assist clients to access grants and with benefit claims
• Support clients with issues such as rent payments, liaising with landlords and dealing with neighbours
• Update client records and referrers using our CRM system, In-Form.
• Work with the team to keep improving the service
