MAP’s vision is a future in which all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable and locally led system of healthcare and the full realisation of their rights to health and dignity. To achieve this, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to answer a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict. 

In the past, MAP has grown at times of intense crises for Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees, and then shrunk once these crises have abated. The needs of Palestinians, following developments since October 2023, are now acute and certain to be ongoing for many years to come. That shrinking is not an option for MAP. We must grow sustainably, and we must have a demonstrable positive impact across the communities we serve. Accordingly, we have set ourselves the following strategic ambition, to guide our work until 2028: “MAP will be a high-performing, international organisation with an annual income of at least £50 million by 2028 and to enable one million Palestinians to access quality and effective healthcare every year.”

Aligned to the organisational strategy, the overarching purpose of MAP’s fundraising approach is: “To enable MAP supporters to play a long-term role in creating a healthier, more dignified future for Palestinian communities by offering meaningful and lasting opportunities to engage, support and amplify.” To ensure MAP can achieve our strategic ambition of growth and impact, we are committed to driving our annual income to £50 million by 2028, raising more than £200 million over the strategic period.

About the role 

This is a pivotal time to be joining MAP’s dynamic Fundraising and Marketing Team. In the last two years we have raised around £100 million. You will play a crucial role in expanding our impact by helping to raise funding for our existing projects, and for the further development and growth of the organisation. We are looking for a proactive, experienced, and motivated individual with the ability to lead and develop an established Trusts and Foundations programme to achieve ambitious income targets. As an integral part of the MAP team, you will be energetic and creative, bringing strong knowledge and leadership to the team.

This is a great opportunity for a results-driven Trusts and Foundations Manager who is passionate about working for the health and dignity of Palestinians to join a fun, dedicated, and ambitious team. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is able to work two days per week in our London office. This is really important to us because this is a donor-facing role with line management responsibilities. It will also involve working with colleagues across the charity. MAP has a flexible working policy to support employees with additional needs, caring responsibilities etc. However, it will not be possible for this role to be completely remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day line management and professional development support for the Trusts and Foundations Officer
• Develop and lead a Trusts and Foundations programme at MAP to secure income from active and cold audiences, focusing on donors giving £50,000+ per annum. 
• Identify new channels to grow income from Trusts and Foundations outside of the charity’s existing networks.
• Lead a strategy to maximise income by seeking opportunities and pursuing these opportunities to their full potential.
• Develop and deliver tailored proposals and stewardship plans, proactively improving knowledge capture and MAP’s understanding of supporters.
• Work with MAP’s Prospect Research Manager to identify, research, and cultivate leads to build a strong pipeline of Trusts and Foundations prospects that will have a significant, positive impact on income.
• Develop and implement a range of cultivation tools.
• Monitor, review and evaluate performance against strategic and operational plans, reports and financial forecasts.

As you will have seen from the role profile, this post requires a minimum of two days per week in our London office. This is really important to us because working with colleagues across F&M team or across the org etc.

You will be able to respond flexibly to the needs of a dynamic and values-driven organisation.

You will have substantial experience managing and growing portfolios of Trusts and Foundations donors, with a proven ability to identify new opportunities, develop compelling funding proposals, and secure significant gifts. You are a confident communicator, able to translate complex programmes and contextual information into persuasive, inspiring cases for support which can be tailored to a wide range of audiences.

With previous line management experience, or a passion for developing others, you are committed to supporting and empowering colleagues to achieve their full potential.

You bring excellent written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on achieving ambitious income targets. You are curious about developments in philanthropy and actively seek out innovative approaches and new funding opportunities, both in the UK and internationally.

The Better Together service delivers a community-based outreach, awareness-raising and personalised support programme to address gambling-related harm. As an Engagement Advice Worker, you will play a key role in delivering both strands of the service by raising awareness of gambling-related harm across Lambeth and providing personalised, strengths-based support to individuals affected by gambling.

1. Deliver a programme of community outreach across Lambeth by attending community events, local groups and venues where residents naturally gather, including faith settings, shopping areas, sporting venues, barbershops and culturally specific community spaces.

2. Build relationships with residents, community leaders and partner organisations to increase awareness of gambling-related harm, reduce stigma and promote the Better Together Service.

3. Deliver presentations, information sessions and informal engagement activities to residents and professionals, promoting early identification of gambling-related harm and available support.

4. Support the planning and delivery of conferences, networking events and professional education sessions, promoting the service and contributing to wider system change.

5. Provide holistic, person-centred one-to-one support to adults affected directly or indirectly by gambling-related harm and agreeing personalised goals to build on their strengths, access community resources and develop sustainable strategies that improve their health and wellbeing.

6. Support clients to access specialist gambling treatment where appropriate, including referrals to the NHS Primary Care Gambling Service, alongside wider support for issues such as debt, housing, benefits, mental health, loneliness, bereavement and social isolation.

Well House is a crisis house supported accommodation service that supports individuals for between 14 and 21 days as an alternative to requiring hospital admission for their mental health needs. About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Finance and Income Operations to lead NFFN’s finance function and help strengthen the systems, controls and reporting that will support the organisation’s next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• leading day-to-day financial management, controls and reporting

• preparing budgets, forecasts, management accounts and financial updates

This role will suit someone who combines financial rigour with practical judgement. You will need to be comfortable working independently in a remote organisation, explaining finance clearly to non-finance colleagues, and improving systems in a way that is proportionate and realistic for a small non profit organisation.

About the role:

At the heart of Camden’s response to street homelessness, the Rough Sleeping Outreach & Hub Service works across streets, transport hubs and a central support hub to ensure that no one is left facing rough sleeping alone. This is an integrated, borough-wide service focused on early engagement, reducing harm and supporting people to move away from the streets towards safety, accommodation and longer-term stability.

As an Outreach Worker, you’ll be a consistent and trusted presence for people sleeping rough or at risk of rough sleeping. Working flexibly across street outreach and hub-based support on a rota basis, you’ll build meaningful relationships, carry out trauma-aware assessments and coordinate practical support that helps people take their next steps.

You’ll work within a 'No Wrong Door' approach, supporting people wherever and however they engage. That might mean meeting someone early in the morning on outreach, supporting them to access the hub later that day, or working alongside partners to remove barriers that have kept them excluded in the past.

This is a role with variety, challenge and real impact. You’ll respond to complex situations, manage risk thoughtfully, and support people through moments of crisis and change. The work can be unpredictable and includes early, late and weekend shifts as part of a 7-day rota – but you won’t be doing it alone. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-quality gambling treatment services across GamCare’s South region, covering Greater London and the South East.

As Treatment Service Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a defined service footprint, ensuring services are safe, effective, well governed and focused on improving outcomes for people affected by gambling harms.

You will lead Team Leaders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver clear and consistent treatment pathways, from assessment and allocation through to intervention and aftercare. You will also oversee performance, safeguarding, quality, budgets and contractual outcomes, using data, feedback and lived experience to drive continuous improvement.

A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with commissioners, funders, NHS services, local authorities, VCSE partners and other stakeholders. You will help strengthen referral pathways, improve service integration and build confidence in gambling treatment services across a complex and changing external environment.

About you

We are looking for an experienced service leader with a strong background in health, social care, VCSE, addiction, mental health, substance misuse or another relevant complex needs environment. You will have experience managing multidisciplinary teams, delivering against performance and quality standards, and working within commissioned or partnership-based services.

You will be a confident people manager, able to support and develop Team Leaders while maintaining safe, effective and well-led services. You will bring a sound understanding of safeguarding, governance and risk, along with the ability to use data and insight to inform decisions and improve delivery.

You will lead delivery, strengthen referral routes, support specialist practitioners and work with partners to make sure people can access safe, trauma-informed support across custody and community settings.

You will play a key role in building trusted relationships with Probation, HMPPS and wider justice partners, using data, insight and lived experience to improve the pathway, evidence impact and remove barriers to engagement. This is a hands-on leadership role with real scope to influence practice, improve systems and support better outcomes for people affected by gambling harms.

About you

You will be an experienced service leader with a background in health, social care, VCSE, criminal justice, addiction, mental health or another complex service environment.

You will bring strong people management skills, confidence overseeing service delivery, and the ability to manage risk, performance and quality in a multi-agency setting. You will be a natural relationship-builder, able to influence partners, build trust and turn ideas into practical improvements.

The Academy of Medical Sciences is seeking a Finance Officer to be responsible for ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded on a timely basis for the Charity and its trading subsidiary, using the Academy’s finance system, and related databases.

As Finance Officer, you will provide accurate and timely information to enquiries from a range of stakeholders, including - but not restricted to - staff, fellows and external suppliers.

The responsibilities of the post include:

Accounting on Finance System:

• Maintain the accounting records (purchase, sales and nominal ledgers) of AMS and AMSTL on the finance system (Iplicit) and assist with the reconciliation of control accounts and production of the monthly trial balance.
• Prepare monthly standard journals (accruals and prepayments) to produce the trial balance and work with the Financial Accountant to provide other period end journals as required.

Purchase ledger:

• Maintain the purchase ledgers of AMS and AMSTL by inputting purchase invoices and expense claims by onto Iplicit and processing payments by BACS (Lloyds Commercial).
• Assist staff with queries about expenses and purchase invoices.
• Ensure that authorisation limits are followed via purchase orders and maintain purchase order log.

Sales ledger:

• Prepare sales invoices for the Academy as necessary under terms of funding arrangements, liaising with relevant teams.
• Monitor and maintain fellowship records, ensuring subscription fees are invoiced and timely and deal promptly with any fellowship finance queries.
• Monitor and ensure all income and donations are correctly reflected on Iplicit and CRM system and that information is shared with the relevant departments.
• Liaise with the contract caterers Searcys on a regular basis to confirm sales on trading company, assisting with queries where needed.
• Upload sales information from the conference database Rendezvous to the finance system and reconcile monthly.
• Monitor receipts against invoices and assist with credit control to minimise the amounts owed by debtors to AMS and AMSTL.
• Support the FORUM staff group regarding invoicing and provision of information regarding receipts and credit control.

Cash management:

• Prepare banking details and bank any income received at the Academy offices on a regular basis.
• Post AMS and AMSTL bank receipts and payments onto Iplicit, preparing bank reconciliations in the finance system.
• Assist the Financial Controller with cash management, including looking at ways to improve the integration of the finance system with the online banking platform to increase automation of bank transactions.

Management accounts and year end:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly budget holder reports and help with queries about variances.
• Assist in preparation of year end accounts and work with the Financial Controller in producing documentation for audit.
• Ensure that all transactions are entered onto with the correct VAT code and assist the Financial Controller in the preparation and submission of VAT returns for the Academy.

Other:

• Provide cover for other Finance Officer
• Support staff who are running meetings and events by providing information on expenditure and income, preparing sales invoices, and assisting with credit control.
• Support the Head of Finance in the continued optimisation of Iplicit.
• Other tasks within the level of the role, and as requested by the Financial Controller, including support of work for the annual audit.
