Forcesline is a free and confidential helpline that provides emotional support and a listening ear to those in the Armed Forces Community who are dealing with financial difficulties, loneliness, isolation or are in some other way struggling to cope with everyday life.

About the role

This role responds to contact made via the Forcesline helpline, which provides a non judgemental welfare support service for serving, ex-service personnel and their families by way of telephone, Webchat and email with potential for other technology in the future.  Enquiries include requests for information, practical assistance and emotional support. Our callers are often emotional, frustrated and in many cases, struggling to see a way forward in their lives.

Working hours are 09.00 – 17.30 to reflect the opening hours of the helpline.

About the team

You will work with a great team of advisors who are both experienced and skilled at what they do. All Forcesline Welfare Advisors receive the necessary training for their role including Safeguarding, Data Protection, Diversity and Inclusion and most have a Level 2 Counselling qualification or above. Their experience covers former Samaritans, Pastoral Care workers, Social Work plus Police Officers and Despatchers. As a team they learn and support one another as well as receiving the support SSAFA can offer more widely.

About you

You will have had experience in delivering welfare support to others, and ideally this has been gained through a helpline. You will need to be technically competent with IT equipment, as most of this work will be done virtually through digital means often under high pressure situations. Ideally you will also hold, or be willing to work towards a counselling qualification at level 2 or above.

About the role 

The role of the Partnerships Engagement Officer is to work closely with our partners and colleagues across Future Frontiers to support the smooth delivery of our programmes and share stories and impact information through a variety of communications channels. This role is key to delivering our work and making a lasting difference for young people from under-resourced backgrounds on their education and career journeys. 

The Partnerships Engagement Officer helps manage vital relationships with volunteers, schools and businesses, and acts as a first point of contact for onboarding queries. This role also helps to promote our partnership activities through producing and sharing marketing and communications content, such as LinkedIn posts and impact reports. 

Your responsibilities:

Set up and enable successful programmes 

• On-board volunteer coaches, including processing DBS checks online and manually, and responding to queries from coaches

• Manage the volunteer onboarding journey, including making any improvements based on feedback

• Maintain accurate records, including creating and updating coach and pupil records on the Salesforce database

• Create impact reports for partners to illustrate the difference they have made and encourage partnership expansions and renewals 

• Alongside the wider Partnerships team, support partners with their fundraising and employee engagement activities for Future Frontiers as needed 

Stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications

• Manage the Future Frontiers LinkedIn account, including working with the Partnerships team to develop a proactive plan to fit with our calendar and priorities, and creating content as needed

• Use templates and brand guidelines to create materials and communications for Partnerships audiences which align with Future Frontiers’ brand and convey core messaging 

• Produce assets and materials in a range of formats to support priority projects and activities with partners

About the Role

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Spanish speaking Executive Assistant to join the team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution in a newly created role.   

As Executive Assistant with Clean Air Fund you would support both the Executive Director of Breathe Cities & the Director of Breathe Cities - who are part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). As the Executive Assistant (EA), working alongside the Senior Executive Assistant and Support Manager (SEA&SM), and CEO Office team, this role ensures the Directors and their teams are supported to work efficiently and effectively and that team projects are facilitated to run smoothly. It’s a role at the heart of a fast-moving organisation combating air pollution. Supporting governance is part of the role through the coordination of preparation for Board and Committee meetings.

You would be responsible for diary management, which includes a lot of complex international travel and coordinating the preparations for high-profile international events. The post holder manages the Executive’s emails to ensure that they give their attention to organisational priorities – both internal and external. This position provides support on key team projects, events, and team engagement which require organisational and administrative input for success. There is scope for initiative, taking on the organisation of convenings, surveys and small conferences. 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

• Previous relevant experience, working for senior executives in a busy and complex environment; including diary management, agenda setting, minute taking, support with meeting logistics (online and in person), drafting communications.

This role is for a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure Blue Ventures meets its obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.
