Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support and the recent launch of our three-year strategy, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our small and dynamic team to work alongside our Director of Finance and Resources and Finance and Operations Manager, along with providing general administrative support to the Finance and Operations Manager and wider team as required to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the charity.
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, this role will work as part of the Finance Team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, month end reconciliations, preparations for payroll and providing support in the production of management and statutory accounts, and in ensuring the charity’s compliance with financial regulations.You will be comfortable managing competing priorities and working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Finance Assistant

As we enter an exciting new season of growth, we are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant and International Coordination Administrator to support our CEO and our international network.
The Role
This varied and rewarding part-time role has two distinct strands. You will provide high-quality executive and governance support to our CEO, managing his diary, coordinating board processes, and ensuring follow-through on key commitments.
You will also support the CEO in his role as International Coordinator of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE), administering a global network spanning multiple countries and time zones - coordinating meetings, managing membership records, maintaining the LCJE website, and supporting international conferences and consultations.

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting people who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind. You'll be at the heart of a busy service, helping to coordinate appointments, equipment, enquiries, stock and administration, ensuring people receive the support they need when they need it.
No two days are quite the same. One day you might be arranging equipment orders and managing stock, the next supporting visitors, coordinating appointments or helping a colleague source equipment or information quickly. What you'll be doing
· Supporting the day-to-day running of our busy Resource Centre
· Responding to enquiries by phone, email and in person
· Helping people access information, equipment and services
· Coordinating appointments, bookings and communications
· Organising equipment orders, stock records and repairs
· Supporting equipment preparation and administration
· Maintaining accurate records and databases
· Assisting with reporting, auditing and information gathering
· Welcoming visitors, volunteers and colleagues to the Resource Centre
· Working closely with the Resource Centre Manager and wider Charity Services Team
What we're looking for:
You may come from an administration, customer service, retail, healthcare, education, charity or community services background.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who:
· Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
· Enjoys helping people and providing great customer service
· Communicates confidently and professionally
· Is comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and databases
· Can manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
· Has a practical, positive and flexible approach
· Works well both independently and as part of a team
It would be an advantage if you have experience of stock management, ordering processes, working with volunteers or supporting people with disabilities or sensory loss, but this isn't essential.

Hours

Service Manager
Salary: £19,752 pro rata (£29,628 FTE) £15.19 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 1:30pm

Every day, elderly and vulnerable residents across the Arun District rely on Arun Community Transport to get to their doctors, hospitals and social activities. For many of them, our volunteer drivers are more than transport, they are a lifeline.
We are looking for a Service Manager to take overall operational responsibility for our busy office and the service that makes this possible every morning. This is a hands-on, varied role with genuine community impact. You will oversee our booking and transport management system, ensure vehicles and drivers are safe and compliant, look after our members and their experience of the service, and lead a small, dedicated team of paid staff and volunteers.
No two days are alike. You will need to be organised, calm under pressure and someone who genuinely cares about the work we do. In return you will join a passionate, community-rooted organisation and play a central role in keeping it running.
What you will be doing
Taking overall operational responsibility for the service, including scheduling, compliance, systems and member experience
Leading our Administrator and a team of office and driver volunteers
Overseeing our booking and transport management system, ensuring it runs effectively and that all records are accurate
Keeping our Wheelchair Accessibility Vehicle and all driver vehicles safe, insured and compliant
Working closely with the CEO to develop and improve the service
What we are looking for
Experience in an operational, scheduling or coordination role
Experience leading or supervising a team, paid or voluntary
Highly organised, calm under pressure and confident with digital systems
A genuine commitment to making a difference in the local community
Experience in the charity or community transport sector is desirable but not essential
