About the role:

As a MAG Programmes HR Manager, you will provide trusted generalist HR advice and support to our programmes across Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sahel West Africa. Working with Regional Directors, Senior Managers in Country and local HR teams, you will advise on complex people issues and change, strengthen in-country HR and manage risk across varied legal and cultural contexts. About you:

You will have a strong track record of delivering HR services in an international or multi-country setting and advising senior managers on complex, sensitive or high-risk people matters. Duties & Responsibilities:

Global HR Operations - 

· Maintain a high-quality global HR operations function, including standardized policies where legally appropriate, standardized processes, technology, systems, tools, forms, and guidelines that are accessible, well understood, and consistently utilized across all offices.

· Balance global organizational standards and compliance requirements with the operational, cultural, and legal realities of individual country offices, ensuring an appropriate and practical approach across diverse environments.

· Build trusted relationships with global office leadership, HR and Country Directors, to encourage transparency, collaboration, and timely sharing of HR-related information necessary for effective operations, risk management, and compliance.

Qualifications:

Education -

Role Summary 

The Head of People will be responsible for delivering an efficient, compliant and people-focused HR service across the Community Trust, supporting approximately 78 permanent employees and 125 casual workers.

Organisational Development

• Assess organisational structure and recommend improvements to support future growth.
• Lead organisational development initiatives that improve capability, performance and engagement.
• Design and facilitate workshops for leaders and wider business teams.
• Support change management and embedding of new ways of working.
• Partner with Directors to provide strategic people advice and practical solutions.

Recruitment Operations & Technology

• Review, implement, optimise and manage the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Improve recruitment reporting, metrics and hiring performance.
• Introduce best practice recruitment processes and governance.
• Utilise market intelligence to support hiring decisions and workforce planning.

Projects & Leadership

• Lead high-impact people and transformation projects from concept through to delivery.
• Work closely with Directors on strategic business priorities.
• Take ownership of multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with measurable impact.
• Influence senior stakeholders and challenge existing approaches where appropriate.
