What You’ll Do: 

As our Philanthropy Manager, you will lead our major donor programme and manage a growing portfolio of high-value individuals, trusts and partners. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, Chief Executive and senior stakeholders, you will identify, cultivate and steward influential supporters, making compelling asks and demonstrating the real-world impact of their generosity. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Developing and managing relationships with major donors, high-value individuals, family trusts and corporate partners
• Delivering an ambitious philanthropy strategy, annual plan and budget
• Building and maintaining a robust prospect pipeline through research, networking and relationship-building
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to develop fundraising propositions, related income sources, such as family trusts and corporate partners, and donor updates

· Tracking performance, managing income reporting and maintain accurate records

Who You Are: 

We need a confident and inspirational relationship manager with a passion for animal welfare, who possesses: 

• Previous experience working with high-net-worth individuals, either in the charity or commercial sector
• Proven success in major gift fundraising
• A strong understanding of major donor fundraising principles

• Experience using CRM systems and managing donor data.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital part in the day-to-day running of the service and in supporting women on their individual journeys. • Build trusting relationships with women and provide strengths-based, person-centred support

Key Responsibilities:
Finance operations       

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with agreed timelines – balance sheet account ownership as agreed
• Process month end journals as required
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with agreed timelines
• Ensure processes & procedures are documented and kept up to date, and recommend improvements to drive continuous improvement
• Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Review finance policies on an annual basis and update in line with current legislation and best practice
• Support the organisation with any finance related queries

 Management Accounting 

• Prepare consolidated management accounts, including variance analysis, risks and opportunities, and advise budget holders as required.
• Design financial reports, processes and training guides to drive budget holder self service
• Recommend solutions to streamline month end reporting and other financial processes

 Budgeting & Forecasting 

• Coordinate the annual budgeting & forecast process across departments.
• Produce the consolidated annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for review by FD, in line with agreed timeframes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and funding requirements (currently excel based).
• Review budget & forecast submissions, and challenge appropriately. Perform variance analysis (actuals vs budget/forecast) and explain key drivers.
• Monitor performance against budget/forecast and provide appropriate reports including variance analysis dependent on stakeholder.        
• Ensure finance system and all associated systems are updated with budget / forecast information accordingly
• Recommend solutions to streamline budgeting and reforecasting process

Business Partnering

• Work closely and build strong relationships with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
• Influence strategic decisions through clear communication of financial insights.
• Undertake financial evaluation of new projects, business cases, funding bids, and contracts, as required.
• Produce written reports on performance, highlighting key financial risks and opportunities.
• Upskill budget holders in financial awareness and management
• Own the finance business partner relationship and role with some of the more complex profit centres

 Treasury & Cash Management

• Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across the organisation.
• Manage relationships with banks and investment managers, ensuring compliance with treasury policies.
• Oversee restricted and unrestricted fund reporting and ensure appropriate allocation and usage.
• Support the development and implementation of treasury strategies, including reserve management and ethical investment policies.

 Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support the Finance Director & budget holders in preparing financial models, as required.
• Partner with budget holders to provide financial models and insightful financial analysis and to support decision-making.
• Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets & reforecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
• Deliver high-quality analysis to support new initiatives.

 Finance Systems & Process Improvement

• Lead on the implementation and optimisation of finance systems (eg. Xero).
• Monitor and manage any payment and other system interfaces
• Drive automation and efficiency in financial processes & reporting.
• Support the integration of finance with wider organisational systems - finance representative on technology SCRUMS and SPRINTS

 mCompliance & Reporting 

• Ensure compliance with charity accounting standards (SORP), Companies House, HMRC, and Charity Commission requirements.
• Responsible for accurate and timely submission of HMRC returns, including quarterly VAT returns, annual employee benefits and Corporation Tax.
• Prepare statutory accounts and lead on the external audit process.
• Quarterly reporting to Make-A-Wish International - APD reporting
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.

 Team leadership & Support

• Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide training and support to non-finance staff on budgeting and financial procedures
• to improve financial literacy across the organization.
• Create Finance resources to encourage self-service for common queries

 General and ad-hoc Support

• Deputise for Finance Director in their absence
• Provide cover for finance team members during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service and workload management.
• Take on additional duties as appropriate to the level of the role and contribute to team objectives.
• Support fundraising events from a finance perspective

ASSIST Trauma Care is one of the leading UK providers of therapy for the psychological effects of trauma and, in particular, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. We are seeking a Specialist Children’s Trauma Therapist to work throughout Northants/Rugby.

Your purpose

To support our CEO, Director of Strategic Development and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to engage partners in our strategic planning, including to influence the implementation of the new national curriculum and guidance on oracy and establish a new advisory board to inform our strategy. Your responsibilities

Partner relationships & communications 

• Ensure that communications to partners are sent in a clear and timely manner, using either automation or other systems e.g. mail merge. 

• Coordinate processes for partnership meetings and roundtables, e.g. the booking process for participants and arrangements relating to special adjustments etc.

• Use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), SalesForce, to create records and collect and update partner data. 

Meeting coordination & delivery 

• Arrange all key activities for events you are responsible for. This could include Advisory Board meetings (online and in person), visits to schools or roundtable and briefing meetings. Manage invites and book venues, reminder/follow up communications, and ensure feedback is captured and collated. 

• Find solutions to problems e.g. technical issues in an online course; booking an additional venue due to increased demand.

• Track key progress with our partnership strategy and analyse this to support decision-making.

MAP is looking for a professional institutional funding manager with vast experience in securing bilateral and multilateral grant and a track record of achieving income targets. As the Head of Institutional Funding, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and execution of MAP's institutional funding strategy. Your responsibilities will include establishing and nurturing relationships with key institutional donors such as UN agencies, FCDO, SIDA, and Irish Aid, as well as crafting compelling project proposals and ensuring compliance with all contractual and reporting requirements.

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to enable students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to realise their ambitions and achieve their wonderful potential.

We are looking someone who will thrive in a varied and innovative role as a fixed-term Project Worker in the Adult and Family Learning team. You will be based at our Maryhill (Glasgow) centre with frequent travel to our centres in Govan and Craigmillar (Edinburgh). This is a role focused on how we can offer additional impactful support in the local communities in which our Scotland centres are based. The Adult and Family Learning team will work in close collaboration with colleagues at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The pilot will focus on supporting the parents, carers and families of young people accessing the centres, with the potential for this to extend to wider adults in the community. As a Project Worker you will deliver the programme and support the Adult and Family Learning Manager to plan and develop activities tailored according to and with an understanding of the different communities in which it will be offered.

Working with colleagues based at the three centres, you will provide a range of activities which will support parents and carers to support their children in their learning, develop their own skills and knowledge around employment and education, and provide a range of family learning activities to engage the whole family together.

Some out-of-hours work will be required from time to time. This is a new project and the team will be developing programmes for parents and carers, which may result, for example, in some workshops running during the evening for a set of period of time (with a later start on the day of the workshop).

Programme delivery staff are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people and families on a regular basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.

£28,250 per annum

Occasional travel out of your local area e.g. to London is also required, this may include overnight stays.

We are seeking an experienced humanitarian health operations professional to join our team. As our new Operations Manager you will join a newly created Operations function and play a key role in its development and success. Our operations are growing rapidly and we need someone who can thrive in providing excellent operational management alongside developing our systems and processes. You will manage a portfolio of programmes and responses both from the HQ and in the field.

Humanitarian health needs are growing. UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide clinical support, as well as training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to outbreaks, natural disasters or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies. As a key partner of the UK Emergency Medical Team (EMT), we work closely with DFID and the WHO, but we are also growing our own programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe.

We provide humanitarian health surge support to health systems facing exceptional challenges. Our responses can range from individuals or small teams of technical experts providing advice and capacity building through to a full field hospital providing primary healthcare and surgical interventions.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about UK-Med’s humanitarian mission and excited by the prospect of developing systems and processes to support this. You will have significant experience in humanitarian health operations including working in the field. Open Rights Group (ORG) is recruiting for a Pre-Crime Programme Manager

The Pre-Crime Programme Manager leads our work on predictive policing and surveillance within the criminal legal system and counter-terrorism policy, with a particular focus on raising awareness of, and challenging, the impact on over-policed and over-surveilled communities.

They are responsible for the development and implementation of the Pre-Crime programme, working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and other staff to expand the programme’s profile, network and funding opportunities.

As a Programme Lead, they will also be responsible for working with the SMT and other Area or Programme leads to further develop and uphold ORG’s values and collaborative working culture. They will be recognised as an issue-expert and senior leader within the organisation.

Activities

This is a permanent position at Open Rights Group, and we have secured a number of project grants to deliver the following activities:

• Lead and manage the Safety Not Surveillance (SNS) Coalition, the UK’s only coalition fighting to prohibit AI- and data-driven predictive policing. SNS brings together grassroots partners with national organisations to build power in communities, secure media coverage, engage decision-makers and mobilise those with lived experience.

• Develop detailed policy positions on the deployment of AI and data-driven technologies by private and public actors in criminal justice, immigration and national security.

• Advocacy to encourage decision makers, including MPs, Lords, Government departments and the Information Commissioner’s Office, to adopt ORG’s and the coalition’s recommendations.

• Conduct campaigns that raise awareness of the threats posed to people’s digital rights by the data-driven technologies in policing and counter-terrorism, as well as more broadly.

• Through research and FOIs, help build a legal case with our partners against covert Police-led pathways under Prevent, the UK’s counter-terrorism programme.

• Opportunities to campaign against digital ID, the Online Safety Act and to protect freedom of expression.

What we’re looking for

Above all else, we need a passionate and effective advocate. And as regards the rest, we’re more interested in your skills, rather than your knowledge.

You might be knowledgeable on the current and emerging technologies impacting policing and the criminal justice system.

You will likely have experiencing managing multiple projects addressing harms impacting communities that are marginalised and made vulnerable by society.

You might have a strong policy background with an interest in human rights, policing, surveillance or draconian technology.

You will have the capacity to perform simultaneous roles such as research, project planning and creating communication outputs and have the creativity and lateral thinking skills to ideate interventions and disrupt harms.

You may be bringing a wide range of contacts to the role or have the skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders with sensitivity to their aims and values.

What the job will involve

• Research: for example on the impact of current data processing practices under the Prevent Duty on individuals and targeted communities.

• Drafting policy documents: including public-facing documents such as consultation responses and reports.

• Outreach to policy-makers: including engagement with UK MPs, Lords and councillors.

• Feeding into our campaigning work: through collaboration with our Campaigns Manager, to ensure that your policy research is fed into our campaigning and grassroots activism.

• Coalition building: through collaborating with other team-members to expand our coalition of cross-sectoral allies.

• Creating comms outputs: such as blog and video posts summarising policy submissions and campaign materials.

• Some public speaking: such as giving press quotes and interviews, as well as representing ORG at external events.

• Programme management: for example, setting goals, objectives and key performance indicators for the programme to deliver.

• Project planning: including identifying further opportunities and partnerships for programme growth.
