About the Role
As Senior Development Executive, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 80–100 donors and prospective donors, developing thoughtful cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies that build lasting philanthropic relationships.
Working closely with senior academics, University leaders and development colleagues, you will translate ambitious scientific priorities into compelling opportunities for philanthropy. You will build relationships with high-net-worth individuals and other prospective funders, with opportunities to personally solicit gifts at the six- and seven-figure level.

About the role
No two days will be the same in this rewarding role. As a Young People Support Worker, you will help young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability to build their confidence, develop practical skills and achieve greater independence.
You will manage a caseload of young people who need homelessness prevention or pre-tenancy support, developing personalised plans that help them secure accommodation and improve their wellbeing. Human Resources
· Work with the Senior Management Team and People Sub Group in the development and implementation of a People Strategy.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
This exciting role will support on the delivery of income from a range of high-value donors within our philanthropy and corporate income streams. We are looking to enhance our team by recruiting a part-time Youth Development & Wellbeing Worker. This will enable us to support the services we currently offer with a particular focus on our work with our partners within the community.

Key Responsibilities

About the role
Join a close-knit and supportive team working tirelessly to ensure some of the borough’s most vulnerable young people receive the care and support they need.
As Young People Support Worker, you will support young people aged 18 to 25 living within a six-bed, low-support accommodation service. Working every Saturday and Sunday, you will help residents develop their confidence, resilience and independent living skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing a caseload and acting as the named key worker for individual residents
· Completing risk and needs assessments and developing SMART, outcome-focused support plans
· Delivering one-to-one and group support within the accommodation and local community
· Supporting residents to access education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities
· Helping residents maximise their benefit entitlement, including Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims
· Working with statutory services and other agencies to provide joined-up support

The Community Hub Activities Coordinator will lead the day-to-day coordination of a one-year walking, wellbeing and social connection programme for Newham residents aged 55 and over. The programme combines a weekly accessible guided walk, delivered in partnership with other external partners with a weekly Community Connection Café facilitated by the postholder.
The postholder will build trusted relationships with residents who may be isolated, inactive, recently bereaved, living with long-term health conditions or lacking confidence to join community activities.
