About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our London & South East Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the London & South East Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child or young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.
Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

About the role

At We Are Survivors, every role exists for one reason: to support male survivors of sexual harms and the people who stand alongside them. While each position has a different focus, they all contribute to helping survivors feel safer, more connected, and better able to move forward in their lives.
The ISVA supports male survivors throughout the criminal justice process, from making an initial report through to the conclusion of any investigation or court proceedings. Alongside providing specialist advocacy within the criminal justice system, the role ensures survivors understand their options, have their voices heard, and receive consistent emotional and practical support throughout their journey. As a Programme Lead, you will become the consistent, trusted adult in a young person's life, providing trauma-informed mentoring and wellbeing support to care-experienced young people aged 16–25. Through compassionate, strengths based relationships, you will help young people build resilience, develop life skills, improve emotional wellbeing and successfully navigate the journey into independent adulthood.
Working flexibly, primarily across Salford, you will meet young people where they feel most comfortable, whether in community venues, local neighbourhoods or other safe spaces and tailor support around their individual aspirations and goals. You will also work closely with partner agencies and statutory services to create a coordinated network of support that helps every young person feel safe, connected and empowered to thrive.

South East London Mind has been delivering a young person’s counselling service to students at Southwark College for several years.
As a College Counsellor, you’ll provide an age-appropriate counselling service that allows the students to explore their mental health and wellbeing, along with the socioeconomic factors that impact this. We are now seeking an organised and proactive Visually Impaired Cricket Development Officer to join our People & Programmes directorate. You will deliver and coordinate Super 1s VI community hubs in targeted areas, ensuring sessions are inclusive and accessible for young people aged 8–25 with a visual impairment, and support the delivery of a year-round programme that promotes positive social outcomes, helping young people build confidence, skills and connections through cricket.

The Visually Impaired Cricket Development Officer will give more young people with a visual impairment the chance to play cricket regularly by growing and delivering the Super 1s programme in targeted areas, attracting new participants, and supporting coaches to build their skills and confidence.
