This is a demanding role where you will support the Fundraising Director in effective management of the fundraising teams across our UK centres and the central expertise in Trusts, Major Gifts and Partnerships.

You will assist the Fundraising Director to plan and organise a broad range of fundraising activities; formulating and adjusting plans as required.  Additionally, the Fundraising Director will depend on you to lead or assist on specific projects.   
 

You will act as gatekeeper regarding access for fundraising teams to the Fundraising Director which will involve utilising strong understanding and sound judgement skills across a number of activities.

The Generous Giving Manager is a very exciting and influential role at the Diocese, as you will build on the strong and energetic foundations within our two-person Generous Giving Team to strengthen the financial sustainability of local churches by encouraging generosity in time, talents and financial giving.

Working closely with deaneries, parishes and their leadership teams, you will identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving, sharing innovative giving practices to help parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.

Communicating clearly and inspiringly the principles of Christian giving to diverse audiences, you will keep up to date with National Church resources, promoting and supporting a wide range of giving methods such as the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving. You will also offer guidance to parish officers for resources on giving campaigns, legacies and grant funding.

This is an ideal role for someone with a good understanding of church life, a passion for helping local churches thrive, a strong commitment to community engagement and an understanding of generosity grounded in Christian teaching.

With demonstrable experience in fundraising or parish ministry, you should bring an awareness of the financial and missional challenges facing churches today, particularly in rural contexts. 

With an understanding of the Church of England’s structures, ethos, and range of traditions, you will have the proven ability to plan, advise on and lead giving or fundraising programmes in a not-for-profit or charitable context. You should also have a clear understanding of the teaching which underpins the Christian principles of giving.

Your motivational and collaborative approach across a variety of settings, combined with your outstanding interpersonal skills and natural ability at rapport building will ensure you are able to generate and develop creative, solution-focused ideas, engaging and inspiring individuals and groups, both in person and online.

Typically, you will operate during office hours but will need to adjust your working pattern in order to meet with parishes in the evenings and/or occasionally attend their Sunday worship, so the ability to travel to remote locations and work flexibly is a necessity.

This role will lead and coordinate Women in Prisons’ external communications, platforming the voice of women with lived experience of the criminal justice system to raise the organisation’s public profile and awareness of the criminalisation of women.

1. Lead and develop comprehensive communications strategies to raise WIP’s profile for influencing, fundraising and impact and that align with our vision and mission.
2. Build public engagement and awareness, leading on campaign development and delivery
3. Oversee the production of Women in Prison’s publications.
4. Platform the voice of women with lived experience of the criminal justice system in all external communications.
5. Manage WIP’s Spokesperson network

Overall Purpose of the Role 

The purpose of this role is to manage great quality, high impact marketing, brand and communications to support our funding, fundraising and supporter goals liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders.  

To effectively project manage the marketing and communications outputs across one or more of our three charity brands: Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity and Guy’s Cancer Charity - amplifying our need for charitable funds and the impact of these for the patients, families and staff of Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust.  

• Project manage a number of marketing, design and communications activities from brief to evaluation that support the delivery of our ambitious ten year fundraising plan  
• Contribute to income generation in support of the fundraising objectives and fundraising targets  
• Contribute to increasing the number of supporters, increasing levels of awareness, reaching and engaging new audiences and existing audiences in fundraising and funding  
• To build excellent working relationships with Trust Communications team, Fundraising team and other key stakeholders by developing an in depth understanding of their work, working collaboratively, acting as a key point of contact within the Charity Marketing and Comms team, ensuring all communications and marketing activity support the Charity and Trust’s brand and reputation.  
• Champion the three Charity brands, acting as brand guardian, providing expert guidance and supporting fundraising colleagues, to ensure the brands and messaging are applied consistently across all activities.  
• Line manage one Marketing and Communications Officer and oversee matrix management one Senior Media Officer (employed by NHS Comms team) to ensure media activities align with charity goals and objectives  
• Provide specialist support in developing opportunities involving celebrity engagement 

Team Management 

• Line manage 1 x Marketing and Communication Officer and matrix management 1 x Senior Media Officer, providing regular 121’s, performance reviews and L&D plans as required  

Campaign project planning and implementation 

• Lead the delivery of marketing materials and campaigns from brief to evaluation using project management tools to set, monitor and evaluate progress  
• Develop and implement plans for marketing and communications activities, using a wide range of tactics to reach target audiences, setting objectives, KPIs and making the best use of tactics.  
• Use a wide range of tactics to reach our audiences, making the best use of digital and social-media marketing, e-comms, Trust internal communications channels, events, PR, celebrity supporters and other relevant tactics.  
• Collaborate with the Evelina London and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Trust Communications Teams to agree plans and look for opportunities to work together to maximise impact.  
• Act as main point of contact for Evelina London Trust Communications team, building strong relationships and specialist knowledge to best support future campaigns and objectives  
• Act as a business partner to fundraising and funding teams to influence their marketing plans and support delivery, providing expertise on the Charity brands and expertise on a wide range of marketing tactics, including digital marketing, internal comms, PR and communications, events and collateral development.  
• Work with the Senior Brand and Content Manager to support with content production, eg copywriting content and working with external suppliers on video and photo production.  

Delivery 

• Delivery across brands, through effective end to end project management and prioritisation as well as ensuring alignment of stakeholder expectations. This could include managing the delivery of the following –brand awareness and fundraising campaigns, impact reports, branded merchandise, case studies, challenge event collateral, digital assets, hospital onsite collateral, pull up banners, posters, leaflets, DM packs, fulfilment materials, digital assets including videos, photography and animations for social media  

Central to your role will be: 

• Leading project groups to deliver outstanding campaigns  
• developing and managing timing plans and scheduling  
• developing marketing and communication plans  
• working with stakeholders to develop creative and campaign/project briefs  
• copywriting and key messaging development  
• effectively managing feedback and sign off/approvals process internally and externally and stakeholder engagement  
• scheduling, chairing and managing meeting agendas and follow up actions  
• presenting project updates and evaluation  
• ensuring DEI principles are embedded across all charities comms and marketing work  
• proof-reading of materials, fact and source checking  
• briefing creatives and supporting the creative process with designers, copywriters, agencies and freelancers  
• managing the print and production process where required for marketing collateral  

• managing Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital onsite and channels comms and marketing collateral for charity events, campaigns or projects. This may require you to be onsite at the hospital or related partner or community sites or events on regular basis, which will be based in London 
• managing the development of case studies for Supporters, Fundraisers, patients, families and NHS Staff  
• implement and embed our new brand portfolio across our organisation and the Trust including successful application of new brand identities, values  
• Specifically support Fundraising colleagues across Events and Community, Direct Marketing, Corporate, Legacies, Public Fundraising and Major Giving to deliver on marketing plans for income generation and engagement.  
• Collaborate with the charities Digital team to ensure strong performance of our digital channels in support of our Charity brand goals and content  

Analysis and research 

• Test and evaluate marketing and communications activities, providing the insights and data that influences decisions about future activities.  
• Keep abreast of marketing best practice and new developments, contributing ideas on how these could increase the impact of our work.  

Collaboration, Relationship Building and Networking 

• Build excellent working relationships with the Evelina London and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Trust Communication Teams, fundraising and funding colleagues - sharing objectives, agreeing plans and looking for opportunities to work across teams to maximise impact. Ensuring they are kept informed and consulted on plans and activities. Organise and lead regular planning meetings between teams.

Work environment 

The post holder should expect to: 

• Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

We are looking for a Foster Scheme Coordinator to coordinate Battersea’s London Foster Scheme, working in conjunction with Operations and Clinic in sourcing suitable temporary homes for those dogs in our London site requiring foster and supporting both foster carers and dogs during their time away from Battersea.
The Foster Scheme Coordinator will maximise further growth impact and development of the Foster Scheme and the engagement and retention of our Foster Carers through the implementation of the Volunteering and Fostering strategy for Battersea.
They will provide guidance and support to existing and potential Foster Carers including managing their expectations.
Finally, they will ensure that all the behavioural and medical needs of foster dogs are met whilst on foster, sometimes dealing with contentious issues in a professional and sensitive manner.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role, based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week. The Media and Communications Manager, reporting into the Head of Communications, is responsible for the creation and delivery of PAGB's external, member and internal communications, overseeing media relations and the PAGB brand.

Overall accountability

• To effectively manage all content on PAGB website and microsites
• To effectively manage the PAGB brand and visual identity
• To organise, co-ordinate and support PAGB events
• To manage all aspects of PAGB’s media relations
• To be the first point of contact for all media enquiries
• To effectively market PAGB services, events and training
• To create, manage and oversee creation of PAGB newsletters
• To support internal communications

Key areas of responsibility include:

Website and digital communications

• Managing the PAGB website to ensure it is regularly updated with relevant information and content is optimised for search and user experience
• Proactively managing website on on-going basis to ensure that it is up to date and actively liaising with PAGB teams to gather information to update as needed
• Managing relationships with PAGB’s website developers to ensure ongoing maintenance, updates and technical support are delivered effectively
• Managing relationships with PAGB’s IT suppliers over domain name and security certificate renewals as required
• Managing the Health and Food Supplements Information Service (HSIS) website
• Managing website and communications data analytics and analysis

Marketing communications

• Marketing communications to promote PAGB’s services, events, and training to members and non-members using appropriate channels
• Developing and supporting communications via various media e.g. social media, podcasts and video
• Working with external agencies to deliver engaging videos and graphics to demonstrate PAGB’s impact in key areas
• Managing PAGB’s partnership with the OTC Marketing Awards and other external partners

Media relations

• First point of contact for media enquiries about consumer healthcare, over-the-counter medicines and medical devices and self-care
• Media issues management, developing messaging and response statements with the aim of ensuring coverage on the consumer healthcare industry and its products is fair and balanced
• Responding in a timely and compelling way to relevant external developments or media stories to generate proactive coverage which communicates our core messages
• Developing and delivering the media aspects of PAGB campaigns to promote self-care and amplify PAGB policy priorities and key messages
• Building, developing and maintaining high quality relationships with key target media across print, broadcast and online (national, consumer and trade)
• Building, developing and maintaining relationships with PAGB media experts
• Briefing PAGB spokespeople on key messages and organising media training as required

• Media and communications activity to support regulatory initiatives, such as reclassification or safety issues

• Managing and updating the Media Group Members on PAGB’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Media monitoring

• Responsible for relationship with media monitoring service
• Responsible for identifying trends and flagging any areas of concern
• Identifying opportunities for PAGB experts via ResponseSource
• Regularly reporting on PAGB’s coverage in the media by creating monthly media dashboards and generating statistics

Brand and design

• Responsible for PAGB’s corporate branding, ensuring correct and consistent use
• Maintaining PAGB brand guidelines and document templates
• Using Photoshop and Canva to undertake basic design tasks inhouse
• Managing relationships with external designers and oversee design and production of corporate publications and documents

Internal Communications

• Responsible for creating and generating content for internal staff newsletter
• Supporting monthly internal communications meetings
• Collaborating with other departments on internal changes, employee initiatives, and sharing company updates

General

• Contributing to the development and delivery of PAGB’s strategy, plans and activity
• Reporting monthly on activity and results to inform regular member value communications
• Ensuring work is produced in line with PAGB tone and brand guidelines
• Staying up to date with new developments and best practice in the media and public affairs fields

We’re seeking a dedicated Community & Events Co-ordinator to support delivery of inspiring events; support the growth of our community using digital tools; and to help grow and nurture our vibrant network of volunteers.

Key responsibilities:

· Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement:

o Use digital tactics and initiatives to drive volunteer recruitment, manage our volunteer recruitment onboarding process and inspire a new community of volunteers to join CPRE Hertfordshire.  

o Attend volunteering fairs in Hertfordshire to recruit new volunteers.

· Event Co-ordination:

o Organise and manage community events from conception to execution including our annual Countryside Day.

o Utilise strong project management skills, including digital project management tools, working closely with the Chief Executive where appropriate, to oversee logistics, budgets, and outcomes.

o Attend and support community events on behalf of CPRE Hertfordshire including using our contactless machine for merchandise sales.

o Grow the number of community talks CPRE Hertfordshire delivers across Hertfordshire to increase awareness of our charity and its mission.

· Digital Membership Communications:

o Use our digital CRM, MS Dynamics, to set up automated membership renewals campaigns to retain our members.

o Support the Chief Executive with digital membership updates and communications as and when needed.

o Support Chief Executive with supporter to membership digital conversion campaigns.

· Online merchandise sales:

o Take responsibility for our e-commerce including copywriting for digital communications and finding new digital channels to sell our merchandise through.

· Performance Monitoring:

o Track and report on community engagement initiatives, including events, using digital data, online analytics and feedback to refine strategies and ensure ongoing success.

· Administrative Support:

o Maintain up-to-date digital volunteer records in our CRM and ensure compliance with GDPR.

o Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Executive as and when required.

o Manage various tasks related to the upkeep of the office.

Role requirements:

· Strong digital skills including proven success using a digital CRM, email software, and a working knowledge of various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
