Role Purpose

The Finance Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the charity, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, robust financial controls, and timely financial reporting. The postholder will work closely with the CEO to support budgeting, grant and tender applications, procurement, and financial reporting to the Board of Trustees.

This is a key role in ensuring the charity’s financial sustainability, compliance, and effective use of resources.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Financial Operations

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using appropriate accounting software.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including income, expenditure, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments in line with financial procedures.
• Monitor cash flow and flag any concerns to the CEO.
• Payroll and expenses responsibility

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Support the CEO in developing and monitoring the annual organisational budget.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and finanical reporting for grant and tender applications as requested.
• Track expenditure against budgets and provide regular updates.

Financial Reporting and Governance

• Prepare quarterly financial reports for the Board of Trustees.
• Contribute to the annual budget report for trustee approval.
• Support year-end financial processes, including preparation for independent examination or audit.
• Ensure financial records meet charity and regulatory requirements.

Procurement and Ordering

• Source suppliers and obtain quotes for subscriptions, resources, services and any other relevant needs.
• Place orders for materials and equipment (e.g. laptops, office equipment) in line with budget approvals.
• Maintain records of assets and equipment.

Support to the CEO and Organisation

• Work closely with the CEO on financial planning, reporting, and decision-making.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support organisational planning.
• Undertake any other finance-related duties appropriate to the role.

Person Specification

Essential

• Qualified and experienced bookkeeper (e.g. AAT or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience of bookkeeping and financial administration, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit setting.
• Experience of preparing budgets and financial reports.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Experience with bookkeeping software such as “Zero”
• Good IT skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office-based and home working subject to performance, needs of the charity and agreement. Working days are flexible, with a preference for Monday, Wednesday, and/or Friday, subject to agreement.

The Role

1. Social Media & Digital Engagement

• Create engaging, visually compelling content across Instagram and other platforms
• Manage and grow Migrate Art’s social media following

As Administration and Membership Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the Neurological Alliance runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally. You will support strong governance, effective membership engagement and well-run meetings and events, helping to ensure that lived experience, evidence and collective expertise shape health and care policy.

This is a practical, admin-led role with real responsibility and autonomy. You will manage day-to-day administration, support the Board and members, maintain accurate records and systems, and ensure financial and membership processes run effectively. In doing so, you will help amplify the voices of people affected by neurological conditions and our member organisations.

Job Summary

The Senior Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in building, strengthening and diversifying Bipolar UK’s high‑value relationships, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and identifying strategic, mutually beneficial collaborations that support the charity’s long‑term needs.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnership Manager, you will manage and grow our portfolio of major donors, corporate supporters, and strategic partners. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring partners feel valued, engaged, and inspired to deepen their relationship with us.

A key part of the role will involve proactively identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects, developing compelling propositions, crafting funding proposals, and pitching confidently to decision‑makers at all levels. Summary of the role: 

The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

About the Role:

Responsibilities

Content & Campaigns
