About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to grow engagement and income from churches and Christian audiences for an international children’s charity.

As Senior Church Partnerships Manager, you will develop trusted relationships with church leaders, congregations and individual Christians. Through meetings, events, telephone and online engagement, you will inspire people to support the organisation’s mission through giving, advocacy and prayer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing a portfolio of church relationships
  • Developing tailored engagement plans using existing campaigns and resources
  • Generating income through individual giving and wider church partnerships
  • Providing thoughtful and consistent stewardship to supporters
  • Identifying creative opportunities to reach new Christian audiences
  • Delivering compelling presentations and fundraising asks in churches and at events
  • Leading the organisation’s presence at Christian events, both online and in person
  • Maintaining accurate supporter, activity and income information within the CRM
  • Contributing to the long-term Church and Christian Engagement Strategy
  • Supporting colleagues to strengthen donor care and church engagement

You will speak in churches on approximately 18 Sundays each year. Regular travel and occasional overnight stays will be required.

**Please note that the internal title for this position is South East Area Manager.

About you

You will be an experienced and confident relationship builder with a background in fundraising, sales, business development or supporter engagement. Comfortable working towards stretching targets, you will combine strategic thinking with practical delivery.

You will bring:

  • Experience of developing relationships that generate income or engagement
  • Strong presentation and public-speaking skills
  • Confidence in making clear and compelling fundraising asks
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience of managing a varied portfolio of contacts or supporters
  • Strong organisational, data management and CRM skills
  • An authentic understanding of churches and Christian communities
  • The ability to represent a Christian identity with integrity and conviction

A full UK driving licence and the existing right to work in the UK are essential. Sponsorship is not available.

About the organisation

Join an international children’s charity working with children, communities, supporters and partners in almost 100 countries. Through long-term development projects, emergency responses and advocacy, the organisation has helped bring lasting change to millions of children for more than 60 years. As a Christian charity, everything is motivated by faith and a commitment to reflecting God’s unconditional love.

Employment is conditional upon applicable background checks, including a criminal records check.

The organisation values diversity and particularly welcomes applications from under-represented communities. It offers flexible working practices and encourages disabled applicants to request reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.

Other roles you may have experience of could include Church Fundraising Manager, Church Partnerships Manager, Regional Fundraising Manager, Christian Partnerships Manager, Community Fundraising Manager, Relationship Fundraising Manager or Church Engagement Manager.
