We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Support Services Manager to lead BBS UK’s support services for children, adults and families living with Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS).
BBS UK is a national charity supporting people affected by this rare genetic condition. We work closely with NHS specialist clinics and other services to help individuals and families access the support they need and navigate health, education, social care and welfare systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team providing practical support, advocacy and guidance to people living with BBS and their families.
The role includes team leadership, safeguarding responsibility and service development. You will help ensure people receive safe, responsive and person-centred support while continuing to improve and strengthen our services.
About the Role
As Support Services Manager, you will oversee BBS UK’s clinics support and advice services. Working closely with the CEO, NHS clinics and partner organisations, you will:
Lead and support a small remote-working team
Provide supervision and safeguarding leadership to Patient Liaison Officers and Advice Workers
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the organisation
Oversee caseloads, service quality and risk management
Support staff wellbeing, learning and development
Build positive relationships with NHS and external partners
Help develop and improve BBS UK’s support services
This is a home-based role with travel to specialist clinics in London and Birmingham, plus occasional meetings and events. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with BBS UK policies.

Principle purposes of the job:

JOB PURPOSE
The postholder is responsible for securing, managing, and growing commercial partnerships with organisations that support AdviceUK’s mission, values and strategic priorities. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Partnership development
Identify, research, and secure new commercial and corporate partnership opportunities aligned with AdviceUK’s strategic and income generation priorities.
Identify and develop new products and services that benefit members, grow income, and support member recruitment and retention.
Shape new products and services with user and sector insight, applying structured approaches to testing, evaluation and scaling. Ensure that pricing, return on investment and other financial modelling is completed to demonstrate how new products or services deliver agreed objectives.
Bring external market insight into AdviceUK’s strategic planning and decision making, ensuring that commercial partnership propositions are clearly differentiated in the markets they are targeting.
Work with the Head of Membership and Services, other colleagues at AdviceUK, and AdviceUK’s existing commercial partners to develop a commercial partnership strategy, business plan and pipeline.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions in partnership with the Head of Membership and Services, Finance and where relevant, AdviceUK commercial partners and subsidiaries.
Ensure all partnerships align with the charity’s mission, values and ethical standards.
Carry out appropriate due diligence and risk assessments on commercial partners
2. Partnership management and growth
Act as the primary relationship manager for AdviceUK’s current commercial partners and subsidiaries to ensure they feel valued, informed, and engaged throughout the partnership lifecycle.
Maximise the value of established partnerships through renewals, extensions, upselling opportunities, and agreed new income generation activity. Support cross‑team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Identify opportunities for innovation and growth within AdviceUK’s commercial partnerships portfolio.
Support the communication of impact to partners, including reporting on outcomes enabled by their support.
Represent AdviceUK at events, conferences and networks relevant to the commercial partnerships portfolio.
3. Income generation and performance
Ensure all partnerships deliver against agreed financial and non‑financial objectives. Contribute to departmental budgeting and forecasting.
Monitor partnership performance and provide accurate reporting on partnership income, engagement, and impact.
Contribute to the ongoing review of existing commercial partnerships and service level agreements, making recommendations for change as required.
Share learning, insight, and good practice to continually improve commercial partnership approaches.
Ensure compliance with Charity Commission and Companies House guidance, relevant fundraising regulations, and internal governance policies.
Work closely with AdviceUK colleagues to deliver integrated partnership activities.
4. Data and evidence
Support the delivery of performance reports as required to evidence the extent to which commercial partnerships are achieving required KPIs.
Work with colleagues to ensure that partnership datasets are accurate, timely and support decision making.

Responsible to: Head of Operations and Service at Stay
Responsible for: Intensive Support Workers and associated delivery
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term, linked to project funding
Salary: £32,103 Per Annum
Base: Hosted by Stay, with travel across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin as required
Job Purpose
The Project and Engagement Coordinator will play a central role in the implementation, coordination and day-to-day delivery of the Partners for Change project. Hosted by Stay and working across the wider partnership, the postholder will help ensure that the project delivers a high-quality, joined-up, trauma-informed and person-centred response to homelessness, rough sleeping, housing insecurity, multiple disadvantage and crisis across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
This is both an operational and strategic role. The postholder will coordinate activity across partners, support delivery against agreed outputs and outcomes, manage data and reporting requirements, and help maintain strong communication, consistency and shared practice across the project.
A key part of the role will be the direct line management and operational oversight of the Intensive Support Workers. The Project and Engagement Coordinator will provide leadership, supervision, caseload oversight, quality assurance and day-to-day guidance to the Intensive Support Worker team, ensuring that support is well coordinated, responsive, safe and effective.
The role will also lead on engagement activity linked to the project, including partnership working, community engagement, peer support approaches, co-production, service development and the promotion of client voice. The postholder will help act as the operational bridge between frontline delivery, partner coordination, and project performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination and Delivery
· Support the effective delivery of a county-wide, joined-up service for people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, housing insecurity, multiple disadvantage and crisis.
2. Line Management of Intensive Support Workers
· Provide direct line management to the Intensive Support Workers employed as part of the project.
· Offer day-to-day leadership, supervision, support and guidance to Intensive Support Workers delivering community-based interventions.
· Support induction, training, development and ongoing quality improvement within the Intensive Support Worker team.
3. Oversight of Outreach Delivery
· Ensure support is accessible and responsive for people experiencing multiple disadvantage and for those in crisis, including individuals who may face barriers to engagement with mainstream services.

· Check that Intensive Support Workers and relevant project partners maintain timely, accurate and high-quality records.
6. Client and Community Engagement and Volunteering
· Lead community engagement activities to raise awareness of homelessness and rough sleeping.
· Build relationships with local communities, stakeholders, schools, faith groups, businesses, and partner agencies.
· Support the development of communications, events, and engagement opportunities that promote the project and encourage community involvement.
· Help coordinate volunteer involvement, including supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing engagement in partnership with delivery teams.
· Contribute to wider service development, co-production, and tenancy-readiness activities to strengthen the overall partnership offer.

Additional Information
This role combines project coordination, staff management, partnership working and frontline service oversight. The postholder will be expected to work with people experiencing crisis, exclusion and multiple disadvantage, and to support staff working in complex community settings.
