About the role
Do you live in Cardiff or the surrounding area?
As a senior community fundraiser, you’ll will an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Wales, with a particular focus on South Wales.
We’re looking for someone who is an experienced relationship builder, someone who can find and develop new supporters. You’ll need excellent local knowledge, and the enthusiasm to develop the local region.
The successful candidate will also be part of the team working on our large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million.
You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities, and celebrating their incredible successes.
No 2 days will look the same as you travel, connect and engage supporters to help us grow income to deliver our mission.
The role is initially offered as an 18-month contract with the potential to become permanent.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
Confident in approaching new contacts and are experienced in developing new relationships from scratch. This may currently be in a customer service, account management or stewardship role.
Experienced in managing and building new and established relationships with a focus on retention and income growth.
Enthusiastic, proactive, organised and unafraid to test and try new ideas.
This role will involve being out and about in the community you’re building, so you must be able to work independently outside of the office in varying locations and enjoy being busy.
Previous experience working in a charity is not required. The ability to speak Welsh would be desirable.

Primary location of role
The candidate will need to be based in Cardiff or the surrounding area with unlimited access to their own car. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London, office.

Key Purpose / WHY?
The Carers Wellbeing Worker will support unpaid carers across Bridgend to establish ‘What Matters’ to them and provide bespoke, person-centred information, advice and guidance to those accessing our services, including, one 2 one support, group work and activities, as well as signposting and referring to relevant agencies for additional support including working with the unpaid carer to complete a proportionate carers assessment to help them on their caring journey.
Working with the senior Carers Wellbeing worker to develop and deliver of a targeted outreach support programme, building on existing partnership working and connecting carers to community resources, preventing the need for escalation to statutory services.
Key Responsibilities / WHAT?

To be the key contact for all enquiries around the Bridged Carers Wellbeing Service, including monitoring referrals, Bridgend Carers Wellbeing inbox, telephone or online enquiries and referrals through WCCIS.

To identify, engage with and support individuals who may be in an informal unpaid caring role including carers from seldom heard groups.

To work with unpaid carers and assist them to articulate ‘what matters to them’, their desired outcomes and signpost / refer individuals to relevant support service to enable them to achieve those outcomes within their own communities.

Undertaking proportionate carers assessments and reviews – identifying areas of need or change and producing support plans, to achieve outcomes that support the carer to become self-reliant and build a network of support.

To deliver a regular programme of outreach and engagement events, taking Bridgend Carers Wellbeing services into the community and working in partnership with carers support services. Feeding back suggestions and ideas to the Senior Carers Wellbeing worker to support development of targeted outreach across Bridgend.

To work with key stakeholders including Bridgend Council, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Third Sector, and other external organisations across Bridgend, in a professional manner.

About the Role
The Events & Community Fundraising Manager is an integral part of our ambitious and forward-thinking Fundraising & Communications team.
This postholder will deliver The Connection at St Martin’s Events and Community Fundraising activity. They will line manage the Events & Community Fundraising Assistant, with a particular focus on their work on our annual Pilgrimage event. They will work in conjunction with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement an action plan for these important functions.

What you'll be doing
This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about inspiring donors, fundraising groups, and volunteers. You’ll play a key role in developing this new income stream with internal partners, organisation wide.
You’ll manage all areas of Community Fundraising, including supporter groups, in-aid of fundraising, and in-memory giving. You’ll identify levers to inspire donors, raise more money for critical conservation work, and create exceptional donor experiences. You’ll think across the lifetime of a donor’s relationship with us and collaborate with other teams to engage donors where they are.
Who we're looking for

- Experience developing mass fundraising strategies and growing six-figure-plus community fundraising income streams, including mass in-aid of asks, in-memory giving, and supporter groups.

- Experience building strong relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders (including supporter groups, volunteers, properties, and in-memory supporters) while ensuring an audience-first approach and championing Community Fundraising.
- Knowledge of six-figure-plus Community Fundraising product life cycles and experience delivering mass-scale fundraising budgets, including monitoring CPA, ROI, KPIs, and retention rates.
- Experience developing and implementing lifetime value journeys integrated with wider charity communications, including knowledge of donor motivations and segmentation, storytelling, and effectively communicating the charity’s mission and impact.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Fundraising and Events Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of physical fundraising events. Key Responsibilities:
Events & Challenge Coordination
Assist in the planning and delivery of Charity Right’s physical fundraising events, including but not limited to:
- Local charity walks and runs
- UK marathons and half-marathons

- International marathons and endurance challenges
- Support logistics such as registration, travel coordination, permits, supplies, safety planning, and postevent wrap-ups

Context and Background
The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. In order to carry out its charitable work, we rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of its annual income. Within Income Generation, our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC and children by working together to create the best possible donor experience by building long -term relationships to create a supporter experience which is different, better and more rewarding than that of supporting any other charity.
The Mass Participation Team (MPT) is an important part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships department within the Engagement and Fundraising directorate. MPT is responsible for attracting new supporters through our mass participation events and products to maximise fundraised income, and to optimise onward journeys to retain supporters within the NSPCC family.
The Mass Participation Team focuses on three areas of fundraising;
- Third party events – sporting and challenge events organised by third party suppliers, where we market spaces, recruit participants and support them in raising money in aid of the NSPCC. For example, the TCS London Marathon, Cardiff Half Marathon, Ultra Challenge series, skydives, bespoke treks.
- Schools Fundraising – a suite of fundraising products tailored to schools across all educational settings, including Number Day, the Kindness Challenge and Classmaster.
- DIY fundraising – supporters who choose to organise their own fundraising event or activity. Whether they take part with family or friends, at work or at school, we support them through stewardship and fundraising materials to help them reach their fundraising goals.
Job purpose
The role of the Fundraiser is to manage a number of events in the third party events portfolio. The Fundraiser will be responsible for working as a proactive member of the team to ensure that the participation levels and net income from each event/activity are maximised. The key aspects of the role are:
- To project manage specific event activities, co -ordinate cross fundraising activity, develop materials, keep track of budgets and evaluate as appropriate
- To develop specific activities and build existing activities to increase participation and income.
