Scottish Women’s Aid is the lead organisation in Scotland working to end domestic abuse. We are a feminist organisation working to improve responses to domestic abuse through campaigning, training, public awareness, Scotland’s 24-Hour Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline, and support for a network of specialist local Women’s Aid services across Scotland.

This is a varied and rewarding role providing administrative and coordination support across the organisation. Role Summary:

The Associate Facilitator plays a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging programmes across The Girls’ Network regions. This role focuses on facilitating impactful workshops and mentoring programmes for girls aged 14-19, supporting them to develop confidence, personal and social skills, and aspirations for their futures.

We are looking for an experienced and confident facilitator who can create inclusive, engaging learning environments and adapt delivery to meet the needs of diverse groups. The Role

This is a management position, known internally as Head of Therapeutic Services, with both strategic and clinical responsibility. As Therapeutic Services Manager, you will drive and develop our therapeutic offer, ensuring that our young people receive high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care. Strategic Leadership and Service Development 

• Provide strategic leadership for all therapeutic services, including individual therapy, group work, and psychosocial support programmes

Clinical Practice

Team Leadership

Who You Are

Essential

• Qualified therapist (e.g. BACP, UKCP, BPS, or equivalent accreditation) with substantial post-qualification experience

• Demonstrable experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma, ideally including refugee or forced migration contexts

• Strong understanding of complex trauma, PTSD, loss, grief, and the psychosocial impacts of displacement and persecution

• Good skill or ability to provide clinical supervision
