The organisation is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. They have been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse through practice for almost 50 years. They empower survivors by keeping their voices at the heart of the charity’s work, working with and for women and children by listening to them and responding to their needs.

This is a full-time, permanent role, with flexible working arrangements with a salary of £34,200 per year (plus Inner London Weighting of £3,483.94, if eligible). This is a hybrid role and the postholder will be expected to work from their offices in either Bristol or London 1-2 days a week.   

The Senior Partnerships Officer will work closely with the Partnership's & Development Manager and Head of Fundraising to continually develop and maintain strategy for maximising income from corporate supporters. You will have personal responsibility for a portfolio of prospective and existing corporate supporters to solicit large donations, apply for funding and ensure meaningful partnerships are created.

They are looking for someone with proven experience of creating meaningful multi-year partnerships, securing sizeable donations. You will also have demonstrable experience of meeting/exceeding targets set.

Founded in 2017 following Doddie Weir’s diagnosis with motor neurone disease, the Foundation exists to fund research, raise awareness and support those affected by MND.

Key Responsibilities 

You will lead the Communications function, working collaboratively across Fundraising, Research and Finance, and will be responsible for: 

Strategic Leadership 

• Develop and deliver a clear, integrated communications and brand strategy aligned to organisational goals. 

• Act as trusted adviser to the CEO on messaging, reputation and stakeholder positioning. 

• Ensure communications activity supports fundraising growth, research impact and policy engagement. 

• Provide regular insight and impact reporting to the CEO and Board. 

Brand & Reputation Management 

• Protect and evolve the Foundation’s brand, ensuring clarity, consistency and emotional resonance. 

• Develop internal brand guidance and champion high standards of communication across the organisation.

Media & External Engagement 

• Lead strategic media engagement, working closely with external PR support. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders. 

• Translate complex research and policy information into accessible, compelling narratives. 

Digital & Campaign Delivery 

• Oversee digital communications strategy including website, social media and supporter communications. 

• Ensure campaigns are creatively strong, audience-led and impact-driven. 

• Analyse performance data (including Google Analytics and other KPIs) to inform continuous improvement. 

Team & Supplier Leadership 

• Lead and develop the Communications team, maximising contribution and performance. 

• Manage agency and contractor relationships where required.

About the role 

NCDA is seeking a motivated Policy and Advocacy Officer to support the delivery of a multi-year project focused on advancing national and regional implementation of global noncommunicable disease (NCD) commitments, and to coordinate PAA’s input into global accountability processes, and regional advocacy programs and global campaigns, with a particular focus on government relations and accountability. 

The Policy Advocacy and Accountability team (PAA) is looking for a Policy and Advocacy Officer to play a key role in delivering integrated planning across these programs, and key elements of these plans, as outlined: 

1. Tracking NCD Accountability processes and coordinating PAA’s policy development and engagement 

• Support PAA’s tracking and engagement with the WHO process for the extension of the NCD Global Monitoring Framework (GMF). 

• Assist in drafting materials, including consultation submissions, policy briefs, and advocacy tool content, to provide information to policymakers and partners. 

• Support global accountability policy development, coordinating network feedback, and liaising across the PAA unit for detailed advocacy content and inputs in specific impact areas. 

1. Regional advocacy and implementation support 

• Coordinate PAA priorities and input into the Advocacy Institute’s Regional Programme to help Regional Alliances hold governments accountable for UN High-Level Meeting (HLM) commitments. 

• Support Advocacy Institute (AI) regional alliance engagement in global advocacy campaigns with a specific focus on global accountability policy development and advocacy, the 3rd NCD Financing Dialogue (Manila, September 2026), and UHC accountability processes (e.g. UHC-ACT), and the build-up to the UN HLM on UHC. 

• Support regional strategy development, including the utilization of existing PAA content and the creation and delivery of advocacy and accountability tools for priority topics. 

• Coordinate policy inputs from PAA for Capacity Development-led activities, primarily the regional alliance convenings and NCDA’s Global Forum in 2028. 

• Coordinate PAA contributions to Advocacy Institute Alliances’ engagement with WHO Regional Committee Meetings (RCMs). 

1. Government Relations and Systems Coordination 

• Liaise with the Capacity Development (CD) team to improve systems and coordination for government contacts and intel sharing, particularly in countries with AI national and regional alliances. 

• Identify opportunities to showcase national and regional NCD policy successes on the global stage. 

• Support cross-unit improvements in planning and managing government relations between the PAA unit as well as capitals and regional intergovernmental bodies corresponding with AI grantees. 

• Maintain and update systems for tracking interactions with partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders. 

1. Support the planning and delivery of key events in the run-up to the Global Week for Action Campaign (GW4A). 

• Support planning, development, and delivery of a strong campaign during the GW4A. 

• Work closely with the Comms and GW4A team on campaign deliverables in the lead up to the GW4A, to be held mid-September (date TBC) on the theme of Leadership and policy implementation. 

• Support the transition of campaign focus from HLM4 toward UHC HLM-related calls in 2027.

Experience and skills: 

Essential 

• University degree in public policy, international affairs, or health-related subject with a minimum of 2 years of relevant job or internship experience. 

• Experience supporting advocacy campaigns for non-profit organizations. 

• Knowledge of global health and the WHO. 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

About the Role

The Campaigner will support the development and delivery of campaigns that drive positive change within food systems. This role is ideal for someone early in their campaigning career who is passionate about influencing decision‑makers, mobilising public support, and helping deliver strategic impact across a variety of issues within food systems from dismantling industrial farming to delegitimising large corporations like large supermarket chains. How you add value:

The Beadle is a ceremonial position rooted in medieval history playing a key role as the outward face of the Company. You’ll support the Master, Wardens, and Clerk in the conduct of ceremonial occasions, including those away from the Hall. You’ll also be is responsible for coordinating all Health, Safety and Environmental activity. You’ll lead a team which prepares the Hall for events. You will be required to work adhoc outside of core hours.

You are expected to live on site at the Hall in a one bedroom flat. Our onsite flat is for the sole use of the Beadle and their partner.

Ceremonial

• Attend external events at venues including City Guildhall, Mansion House, and St Paul’s Cathedral
• Supervise all aspects of the management of the Company’s “Apprentices”, and the conduct of the Bindings and Admissions ceremonies in liaison with the Membership Officer and Communications Manager and maintain oversight of the publications offered to new Freemen or Apprentices
• Liaise as necessary with the office of the Chamberlain of the City, and especially on matters concerning Freemen and Apprentices and the obtaining of the Freedom of the City of London
• Oversee the maintenance of the Company’s Robes and Badges
• Act as an imposing and diplomatic Toastmaster when required
• Be fully conversant with the programme of all Company activities, both within and outside the Hall on a day-to-day basis to advise the Master and Clerk, and other members of the Company, keeping the Catering Company informed as appropriate for meal planning

Security

• Be the first responder for any alarms raised or security breaches at the Hall.
• Continually work alongside the Company Surveyor to ensure the safety of the Hall, its contents, employees, and visitors

Health & Safety

• Be the Health & Safety Emergency Co-ordinator, and fulfil all the responsibilities, including record keeping, working closely with the H&S Advisor on this
• Maintain and co ordinate the Training Matrix on the dashboard ensuring all training is up to date. Organise external trainers to the hall for the specialist training
• Complete accurate and timely accident/incident investigations reporting to the HSEC and the Company.
• Take full ownership of all risk assessments, ensuring they are completed, reviewed, and updated regularly, reporting any concerns to the Health, Safety Environment Committee
• Through close and regular personal inspection and monitoring, ensure the highest standards of Hall presentation, keeping a Defects Book and insisting on thorough hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Hall.
• Communicate any health and safety concerns to staff in a timely fashion, avoiding panic and provide clear instructions as and when needed
• Ensure that health and safety issues/concerns are dealt with swiftly
• Ensure H & S inductions are carried out for all new staff

External partners/affiliates

• Be familiar with City Police and Corporation officials on official matters
• Maintain regular contact with City churches prior to Company Church Services
• Liaise as necessary with the office of the Chamberlain of the City, and especially on matters concerning Freemen and Apprentices and the obtaining of the Freedom of the City of London
• Outside core operating / working hours
• Respond to the Fire and Security alarms
• Respond to the Digitrack fridge alarm system, notifying the Facilities Manager if a fault is identified and immediate action is needed.

Team Management

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of your direct reports, which includes (and not limited to) wellbeing, recruitment, health and safety, regular feedback, quarterly check-ins and training.
• Hold regular team meetings and briefings to update the team on Company and Corporate events and all other relevant information.

EQUISS Caseworker

Reports to: Head of Advocacy and Safeguarding

Purpose of the Role

EQUISS is an independent organisation working to strengthen safeguarding, welfare and accountability across the equestrian sector.

Across the equestrian world - from riding schools and training yards to competitions and affiliated clubs - concerns about abuse, misconduct and unsafe practices have too often been difficult to raise, navigate or resolve. EQUISS has been established to help change that: ensuring individuals affected by harm are heard, supported and able to access clear and safe pathways for raising concerns.

This role represents the first advocacy caseworker position within EQUISS, playing a central part in establishing a new, independent support service for the equestrian sector.

The Caseworker will provide trauma-informed advocacy, guidance and practical support to individuals experiencing abuse, harm or misconduct within equestrian environments. The role will help individuals understand their options, access appropriate support and navigate reporting processes within sport and, where appropriate, statutory systems.

Working closely with the Head of Advocacy and Safeguarding, the Caseworker will help deliver EQUISS’s advocacy service and support line, ensuring individuals receive safe, informed and survivor-centred support.

As one of the early roles within a developing organisation, the Caseworker will also contribute insight from frontline casework to help EQUISS identify patterns, risks and systemic safeguarding challenges within the equestrian world, supporting the organisation’s wider mission to drive meaningful reform.

Key Responsibilities

Advocacy and Support

• Provide empathetic, trauma-informed support to individuals seeking guidance relating to abuse, misconduct or safeguarding concerns within equestrian environments
• Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for individuals engaging with the criminal justice system, helping them understand processes, maintain communication with relevant agencies and access appropriate support throughout the process
• Listen to and respond to disclosures in a sensitive, survivor-centred manner while always maintaining professional boundaries, and ensuring clients understand the remit of the service
• Help individuals understand their rights, options and available pathways for raising concerns

Essential

• Safeguarding training at Level 3, or willingness to undertake Level 3 safeguarding training within the first six months of appointment

You will also take on caretaking and housing‑management duties, conduct flat checks, maintain building security through health and safety checks, alarm and CCTV monitoring and regular patrols, and complete nightly cleaning tasks to ensure the environment remains safe, secure and well maintained.

You will bring experience of supporting people with mental health and complex needs, ideally including work with individuals affected by substance misuse. You will understand Recovery approaches and co‑production, and be able to design activities that reduce anxiety, build confidence and support self‑defined recovery. You will maintain high standards in challenging situations and draw on knowledge of legislation such as welfare reform, the Care Act and housing pathways. You will engage clients in assessments and co‑produce support plans, use MS Office and case‑management systems effectively, understand basic building safety, communicate clearly in English, work flexibly out of hours and accurately handle petty cash.

Acorns Children's Hospice are looking for an Events Officer to help deliver fundraising events that bring in vital income and create a great experience for supporters

About the Role

At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. As the UK’s largest children’s hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported, and annual expenditure on our care work- we need to raise more than £14 million each year to run and support our care services.

As Events Officer, you will:

• Support planning and delivery of Acorns-run events and challenge events
• Lead end-to-end administration for the third-party fundraising events program - from sign-up through post-event follow-up
• Recruit, onboard, and support participants to meet participation and income targets (including timely, helpful communications)
• Track fundraising milestones and deadlines; send reminders and provide practical support to help participants stay on track
• Coordinate with colleagues to recruit, brief, and support event volunteers where needed

About You

• Experience of coordinating fundraising events or public events (planning, participant support, and / or delivery)
• Experience of providing high quality customer care and an understanding of the supporter journey
• Experience of and resilience to meeting targets and KPIs
• Strong administrative and organisational skills; high attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
• Willing to work outside standard hours when the event calendar requires it (with time off in lieu)
• Ability to travel independently throughout the organisation and region
