We are looking for a collaborative, analytical, and organised Assistant FP&A Analyst to join us. In this role, you will be a key member of our Financial Partnering, Planning & Analysis team that sits within the wider Finance department.

This is a permanent, fully home-based role working 35 hours per week, offering excellent flexibility while keeping you connected to a passionate nationwide directorate.

The Assistant FP&A Analyst plays an important supporting role in contributing to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting across the Society. You will help ensure we always have a reliable, accurate and well-presented single source of financial truth from which colleagues can make informed decisions.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. Working from home, you will support budgeting and forecasting cycles, maintain templates, and produce regular management account packs and dashboards for our Finance Business Partners and budget holders. You will also help develop intuitive financial tools, contribute to multi-year financial models, and gather operational feedback to drive continuous improvement across our processes. You will be part of a caring and dynamic team that values partnership, accountability, professionalism, and a restless desire to constantly improve.

Key Responsibilities:

- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support end-to-end delivery of cycles, maintaining templates, timetables, and data collection from budget holders.
- Management Reporting: Produce and maintain regular account packs, dashboards, and reporting tools for Finance Business Partners and budget holders.
- Financial Modelling: Assist the FP&A Manager with multi-year financial models, scenario planning, and trend analysis to inform key assumptions.
- Process Improvement: Gather operational feedback on financial products to streamline workflows and improve data productivity
- Team Collaboration: Partner across the Finance and Assurance Directorate to ensure a consistent, joined-up "single point of truth."
- Compliance & Values: Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with data protection guidelines and role-model the Society’s core values.

About Responsible Finance

Responsible Finance is the membership association for the UK’s Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs). CDFIs are community lenders, committed to delivering positive social impact, and offer fair and affordable finance to businesses, social enterprises and to people unable to access it elsewhere.

This is an exciting moment to be joining the CDFI sector. Responsible Finance and its members are focused on increasing access to fair and affordable finance for SMEs, social enterprises, people, places and communities that are underserved by mainstream finance. The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in turning that ambition into practical referral pathways, stronger partnerships and measurable growth in responsible lending.

Awareness of CDFIs remains low among many organisations that support SMEs and entrepreneurs. Many businesses that could benefit from CDFI finance are therefore not currently being directed to the sector. An increasing number seem to be turning to high interest lenders, which don’t always consider good customer outcomes.

We are therefore seeking an exceptional Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver a partnership outreach and creation strategy that raises awareness of CDFIs, increases referrals and signposting, and supports growth in CDFI SME lending. Our recent pilot with Lloyds Bank to refer declined SMEs to Responsible Finance, and our partnership with Grow London Local are just two examples.

Success in this role will mean building a prioritised partnership pipeline, converting relationships into active referral pathways, improving the quality and volume of referrals to CDFIs, and using data to learn what works.

Purpose of the Role

As Responsible Finance’s dedicated Partnerships Manager you will build strong relationships with banks, brokers and broker organisations, professional advisers, business organisations, government, local growth bodies and others to raise awareness, establish referral routes and strengthen onward pathways to finance readiness and business support.

Your work will be a driving force in delivering Responsible Finance’s ambition to unlock an additional £1bn of lending over the next five years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the development of Responsible Finance’s partnership and stakeholder relationship strategy, working with our CDFI members to identify the organisations with the greatest potential to support growth in demand and referral pathways.
• Educating potential partners and referrers about what CDFIs are, the finance and support they provide, and of their role in local economic growth and community development.
• Increasing referrals and signposting to CDFIs centrally through Finding Finance and locally from organisations supporting businesses, improving access to finance and supporting lending growth.
• Managing the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the Finding Finance platform to ensure that it supports frictionless referrals and good customer outcomes – and that ongoing attribution data informs the ongoing targeting of partners.
• Developing routes for onward referrals to organisations that can support businesses with technical assistance, finance readiness and wider business support, creating a stronger future pipeline for CDFIs.
• Representing Responsible Finance at sector events, roundtables and stakeholder meetings, with a clear engagement plan, follow-up process and route for converting contacts into partnership opportunities.

Role success measures and outcomes

• A prioritised partnership strategy and engagement plan agreed with Responsible Finance and informed by CDFI member needs.

• New or improved referral pathways from priority partner segments, such as banks, brokers, accountants, local growth bodies, business support organisations and others.
• Improved quality, tracking and attribution of referrals through Finding Finance and local partner routes.
• Evidence of learning from pilots, including what drives referral quality, customer engagement, member value and responsible lending growth.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

We are looking for someone with experience of partnership development, stakeholder engagement or business development in a relevant environment. Experience of the finance ecosystem, SME support landscape or local economic development networks would be particularly valuable. Knowledge of CDFIs is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

• Strong relationship-building skills. Must be comfortable working with stakeholders at a range of levels.
• Proven ability to build partnerships from prospecting through to implementation, including converting conversations into practical actions, pilots or agreements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Previous experience in a similar stakeholder / partner facing role.
• Highly self-motivated and able to drive your own work forward, but equally a team player with a collaborative working style.
• Willingness to travel regularly – this role is partner and stakeholder facing and the post holder will be required to travel frequently, up to twice a week, and sometimes at short notice.
• Strong presentational and public speaking skills and experience.
• Ability to develop compelling value propositions and engagement materials for different audiences.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, prioritisation, delivery against milestones and managing dependencies across multiple stakeholders.
• Confidence using data, dashboards or CRM-style tools to track pipeline activity, referral performance and outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with members or delivery partners, balancing different organisational priorities and capacities.
• Understanding of good customer outcomes, referral quality, consent and data-sharing considerations in a partnership or customer journey context.
• Strong judgement and political/stakeholder awareness when representing an organisation externally.

Desirable

Working as part of a small organisation, you will need to demonstrate flexibility and versatility and have opportunities to support a range of other projects and support services for our members, developing a wide range of skills and competencies.

Therefore, in addition to the essential criteria above, we are also interested in candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Experience in organising and delivering events and workshops.
• Experience of creating and delivering presentations.
• An understanding of CDFIs and/or lending helpful – particularly investor relations and social enterprises.
• Experience line managing and/or directing the work of other team members.
• Experience working with banks, brokers, accountants, business support organisations, local authorities, combined authorities, chambers of commerce, growth hubs or social investment networks.
• Experience designing referral journeys, customer pathways, partner onboarding processes or account-management frameworks.

This role delivers Work Well outcomes through a recovery-focused wellbeing model, ensuring people are supported holistically to achieve sustainable employment alongside improved mental health. This role includes a specific focus on supporting individuals to sustain employment, return to work, or move closer to the labour market, recognising the strong relationship between health, wellbeing and good work.

The postholder will work collaboratively with individuals to identify their personal wellbeing goals and aspirations, including where appropriate employment-related outcomes, and support them to build confidence, resilience, and practical pathways forward.

This role combines Bluesci’s recovery-focused, social prescribing approach with the key elements of the Work Well model, providing holistic support that addresses both wellbeing and work-related barriers.

Team Sahara is a dedicated Dementia Support Service supporting South Asian communities across Greater Manchester. We're a small, passionate team with a welcoming and supportive culture, committed to helping people living with dementia and those who care for them access the right support at the right time.

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Dementia Adviser to join us, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (21 hours per week). Because this role works closely with South Asian communities, you'll need to be fluent in English and at least one South Asian language, such as Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Bangla or Gujarati.

About the role

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing personalised information, guidance and emotional support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and help them access the services, resources and networks that can make a difference to their lives.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, supporting a family over the telephone, delivering a dementia awareness session in the community or working alongside local professionals to ensure people receive joined-up support. You will manage your own caseload, respond to referrals and maintain accurate records, while always keeping the individual at the centre of your work.

A big part of this role is building relationships within South Asian communities across Greater Manchester. You will work closely with community groups, faith organisations, health and social care professionals and other local partners to increase awareness of dementia, strengthen community connections and improve access to support for people affected by dementia.

You will also help facilitate Memory Cafés and other group activities, creating welcoming and inclusive spaces where people can connect with others, access information and feel supported.

You will be part of a caring and supportive local team who share ideas, learn together and encourage one another. There will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, with regular support from your manager and colleagues.

About you

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.

We’re seeking a warm, organised, community-minded individual to support a growing programme of research, involvement, engagement and participation across Somerset’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector.

The role will support activity linked to Somerset’s Research Engagement Network (REN), Somerset Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) and wider research, partnership and engagement activity across Spark Somerset.

The postholder will play an important role in helping strengthen connections between communities, VCFSE organisations and research partners, ensuring community voices and experiences help shape future research and engagement activity.

Main purpose of job:To work in the Navigator team supporting individuals who have or are experiencing sexual violence and or sexual abuse. As a first contact worker, you will act as a gateway to both specialist counselling and advocacy services and additional specialist support services in Essex. You will use your considerable experience to provide a high-quality telephone information and support service.

The support you deliver will help individuals on their pathway to wellbeing, recovery, and social inclusion through building trusting and collaborative relationships. You will guide users to make informed decisions about their own wellbeing, maximising their independence and engaging in appropriate community or clinical resources/interventions.

You will work within a team of first contact navigators under the supervision of a service lead. You will be highly motivated and dedicated, have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Start date: As soon as possible (subject to Enhanced DBS Check and satisfactory references).

Salary:£26,496 - £28,845 (NJC Scales 12-17) per annum, pro-rata.

Contract: This will be a permanent contract.

Hours: 35 hours per week.  

Place of work: CARA premises in Colchester and some remote home working if a suitable environment is available.  Some travel to other locations in Essex may be required, particularly during the induction period.

Holiday: 25 days per year, pro-rata, plus additional closure days between Christmas and New Year.

Job Description

The First Contact Navigator posts will play a central role in the CARA team, ensuring that our service users and other agencies receive a high-quality service from the moment of first contact. You will work as part of a wider team of First Contact Navigators across Essex, based at our Synergy Essex Partner centres. The post liaises with clients, the CARA team and external agencies, providing advice, support and information.

The First Contact Navigator will engage with individuals who are experiencing, or who have experienced, sexual violence and or sexual abuse who require information, signposting and short-term support.  You will be the first contact and conduct first meetings, managing your own caseload and co-ordinating personalised support for individuals on their pathway to wellbeing. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will support people who use CARA services to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, maximising their independence and engaging in appropriate community or clinical resources. You will work collaboratively with service users, the CARA team and other professional agencies to navigate and coordinate services.  

At the outset, the main responsibilities of the post will be:

• To act as a first point of contact for new referrals and enquiries, providing information, emotional support, advice and signposting.
• To complete first contact calls and assessments with clients over the telephone, assessing client needs and suitabilty for services.
• To ensure information about new referrals/enquiries is accurately recorded on CARA’s database in real time.
• To work collaboratively and build trust with service users, agencies, personal and professional support networks to collate relevant information to effect individualised support requirements.
• To assess and engage service users not currently engaged in appropriate specialist sexual violence services.
• To seek and respond to referrals from a variety of internal and external sources.
• To assist survivors and relatives/supporters of survivors in understanding the range of resources and services available to them.
• To support service users to engage effectively with appropriate services to meet their individual needs and aspirations.
• To identify and respond to any safeguarding concerns
• To work as a link between clients, CARA staff and external agencies, ensuring appropriate information is passed on.
• To work closely with the Essex-wide team of First Contact Navigators and Information and Referral Coordinators to ensure effective referral processes across Essex.
• To act as a point of contact for external agencies making referrals to CARA, answering queries about our referral process.
• To cover the enquiry line and the office phone and deal with enquiries as required.
• To pro-actively promote CARA’s services to external agencies, ensuring they are aware of our referral procedures.
• To contribute to development of promotional information, to ensure information about the referral process is clear and accessible.
• To attend regular team meetings and to work with colleagues to further the objectives of CARA.
• To adhere in full to all CARA’s organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding procedures.
• To report to the Service Engagement Manager, Head of Operations, CEO and Trustees as required, including the production of regular written reports.
• To be administratively self-servicing.
• To undertake any other related activities as required by the Head of Operations, CEO or the Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

Location: The Gaia Centre (Lambeth, London)

Hours: 30 hours per week. As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota. Operating hours of the service 8am- 6pm Monday- Friday with the expectation to work on some days 8- 4pm or 10- 6pm to cover duty shifts.

We are recruiting for a Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) who will be working closely with survivors of domestic, and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support, guidance and advice to survivors across all risk levels and their children.

In this role the Duty IGVA is a part of a busy team. The Duty IGVA will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre by other professionals. The Duty IGVA also will be responsible for processing any self-referrals of individuals contacting the service and wishing to access support. The Duty IGVA will be responsible for responding to daily enquiries from partnership agencies, public and impacted individuals over the phone and email.

In some circumstances the Duty IGVA will be contacting survivors directly to assess their level of risk and needs to ensure eligibility. The Duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs assessments. The Duty IGVA will ensure an effective handover of the case to the relevant team for ongoing support.

The Duty IGVA will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. The Duty IGVA will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety. The jobalso  involves working in a fast-paced environment.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About the Sickle Cell Society (SCS)

The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Over 19,000 people in the UK have a sickle cell disorder, an inherited condition that predominantly affects people of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage; and to a lesser extent people of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Central/South American heritage. 

Job Purpose:

To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve our fundraising priorities and targets. An exciting and varied role, we are seeking a strong team player, and someone with the confidence and initiative to help develop and grow charitable income. The post holder will be someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the enthusiasm to want to learn and get things done. We are a small, friendly and closely knit team of 20 skilled and highly committed staff and over 50 active volunteers.

The post-holder will work closely with the Fundraising Manager, and wider team to provide an engaging supporter journey and timely, efficient donor care to existing and new supporters of the Society. Responsible for helping the team meet our agreed income targets for celebratory giving, challenge events, community fundraising and corporate payroll giving initiatives.; the post-holder will be keen on developing their Fundraising career and interested in expanding their use of CRM databases, data management and the production of reports for effective donor stewardship.

You will be responsible for the membership and donors’ database (Beacon) keeping it up to date and reporting back on results, whilst ensuring data compliance and implementation of data. You will be highly proficient in the use of business IT systems in particular Microsoft Excel to analyse data, and you will also have at least one year’s experience, or equivalent, in producing detailed and insightful reports.

The post-holder will be a confident communicator and collaborator with proven relationship building and creative and innovative fundraising skills. You will also support the development of our fundraising communications, monitoring performance across all channels driving best practice and income growth. You will generate and develop engaging fundraising communications and be responsible for your own copywriting, including thanking our wonderful donors via the most appropriate communication channels.
