As the Head of Philanthropy, Asia, you will play a key role in growing Birmingham’s philanthropic programme in the Asia-Pacific region. The focus will be on increasing six-figure+ giving through the University of Birmingham Hong Kong Foundation and from the wider region. Most of their warm donors are based in Malaysia and Hong Kong, but there is an active community of alumni in Singapore and scoping to be done across Asia to drive the next phase of their strategy forward beyond alumni donors, and to build on a recent seven-figure donation as a catalyst for further giving.
The University established their Hong Kong Foundation in 2019 and giving is off to a strong start. Continuing on this trajectory you will work to make it financially sustainable, aiming to have multi-year commitments lined up. You will steer and develop the Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors, increasing giving from their networks, and working with them to distribute funds to programmes at the University that will also benefit Hong Kong.
As a senior fundraiser in the Development & Alumni Relations Office (DARO), you will be expected to be innovative, self-motivated and to take ownership of fundraising in this region. As part of a dynamic team and led by some of the most respected names in higher education fundraising, you will work across the University to generate gifts to key philanthropic projects and encourage new donors to make significant gifts. You will also have the opportunity to work with the senior leadership across the University to travel, drive income and develop innovative funding proposals for the region.

The Research & Partnerships Directorate is a fast paced, collaborative team committed to achieving Alzheimer’s Research UK’s vision. The Directorate has responsibility for delivering on the charity’s principal remit: funding world-class research to ultimately defeat dementia. Alzheimer’s Research UK funds dementia research through a large portfolio of investigator-led grant awards, research fellowships and strategic initiatives within the UK and increasingly internationally.
Working closely with the Evidence Manager, you’ll help shape how Alzheimer’s Research UK understands, evidences, and tells the story of the impact of the research we fund. You’ll lead on collating, cleaning and analysing impact data from a range of sources, turning it into compelling insights that support external reporting, fundraising and internal decision-making. You’ll work across the organisation (including Communications and Philanthropy) and with external partners to strengthen our approach to impact assessment, helping to position ARUK as a leader in the field. Key Responsibilities:
Research impact assessment, analysis & dissemination
· Lead the day-to-day collation and analysis of research impact across ARUK’s funded portfolio.
o Collate, clean and maintain impact data (e.g. researcher reports, publications and online sources such as Dimensions) to enable consistent, high-quality reporting.
o Analyse and synthesise findings into clear, decision-ready insights, supported by visualisations and (where appropriate) dashboards.
o Turn impact evidence into engaging content (e.g. case studies, summaries and graphics briefs) and partner with the Communications Team to make it ready for internal and external use.
· Own the day-to-day development of the Impact Hub—our internal repository of research impact—spotting standout examples of progress (e.g. career development, collaborations, guideline influence) enabled by sustained ARUK funding and shaping them into strong case studies.
· Partner with fundraising teams to understand their evidence needs and identify new opportunities to bring research impact to life for supporters.
· Help improve and embed reporting processes that strengthen how we evaluate and communicate the impact of ARUK-funded research.
Data analysis, Evidence & Evaluation
· Provide responsive data collection, analysis and reporting support across the Research & Partnerships Directorate and wider organisation, working closely with the Evidence Manager.
o Examples include: portfolio trends, geographic spread, career outcomes and collaboration mapping.
· Support the Evidence Manager to deliver ARUK’s Strategic Performance Measurement Framework—tracking and reporting KPIs for senior leadership and trustees.
· Continuously improve systems and workflows, streamlining data handling and building reusable templates and dashboards (e.g. automation in Excel/Power Query, Power BI data models, standard operating procedures).
External ambassador for research impact
· Build expertise in research impact assessment by engaging with organisations such as the AMRC and attending relevant workshops and meetings.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, in particular ARUK-funded researchers and other funding bodies, spotting opportunities to advance ARUK’s research aims.
· Represent ARUK at national and international events and conferences, helping to position the charity as an authority on research impact.

MAIN PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
The Northern Partnership & Training Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, coordination and quality assurance of Partnership and Dog Training Instructor roles operating within the Northern region.
Partnership and Dog Training Instructor roles within the Medical Alert Assistance Dog department combine elements of dog training, client instructing, partnership placement and aftercare, depending on programme need. The General Manager collaborates with the Executive Co-Chairs to deliver the Strategy and develop the impact of our network, convene and build our membership, develop the sustainability of the charity and communicate our impact with members and stakeholders.
The General Manager is the key person responsible for the day-to-day operations of the charity and the management of the network and its activities.
We’re offering this role in two forms: as a flexible freelance contract, or a fixed-term secondment opportunity, and are keen to explore options for the right candidate.
Pay: £2500 per month to deliver the work.
The fee is calculated based on approx. 3 days per week at £200 per day, but we are open to proposals for exact working pattern and rate.
Working hours: Up to 3 days per week (depending on agreement), worked with at least 1 fixed day and some flexibility welcomed.

This is a high-profile role for an experienced corporate partnerships professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding account management, leading a small team, and maximising income and impact through innovative, mutually beneficial corporate relationships.
In this role, you will lead the corporate partnerships account management function, setting the standard for thoughtful, high quality stewardship across a diverse portfolio of high value, multi-year partnerships. You’ll shape and grow relationships across strategic partnerships, cause-related marketing, sponsorship, employee engagement, gifts in kind and volunteering, ensuring each partnership delivers meaningful value for both the organisation and its partners.
You’ll provide strong, supportive line management to account managers, role modelling best practice while developing partnership plans, negotiating agreements and delivering complex, cross-organisational projects. Working collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising, marketing, communications, finance and programme teams, you’ll bring partnership ideas to life and ensure every collaboration reaches its full potential.

The role
As Senior Operations Manager you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the Centre, working closely with the Board of Trustees to shape its future direction.
You will:
Provide clear strategic leadership and deliver the Centre’s long-term vision
Oversee day-to-day operations across early years provision, childcare and family services
Lead and develop a team of 30-35 staff, including the Senior Leadership Team
Ensure high standards of safeguarding, compliance and regulation (including Ofsted)
Take ownership of financial sustainability, including budgeting, fundraising and income generation
Drive continuous improvement, responding to community needs and feedback
Act as a visible ambassador, building strong relationships with families, partners and stakeholders
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both strategic thinking and close involvement in day-to-day delivery.

Proven leadership experience within early years, childcare, charity or community settings
