About the role

This is a key role to help drive RFUK’s income generation and donor engagement strategies. As Senior Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and delivery of RFUK’s fundraising strategy to sustain and broaden the organisation’s scale and impact. Reporting to the Head of External Relations and part of the Fundraising and Communications team, you will lead a range of activities and are responsible for developing and cultivating partnerships with institutional donors, trusts and foundations, ethical corporates, and individual supporters.

About you

You are an organised, self-starter and experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record managing a diverse fundraising pipeline from identification and cultivation through to securing gifts and successful stewardship. You have confidence engaging with foundations, corporates, individuals and major donors, and are excited to build long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders. You are eager and ready to implement new digital tools and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to streamline processes and maximise long-term donor engagement and support. The successful candidate will inspire and mobilise youth and young adults (11-23 years) to make a whole-life response to poverty through Tearfund primarily through giving, advocacy, prayer and lifestyle change. You will be the face of Tearfund focusing on speaking and engaging youth audiences at events, conferences, gatherings and within churches. You will also support the Northern Ireland team in its wider engagement with Tearfund supporters, playing your part in mobilising Christians across NI to respond in prayer and generosity.

To provide structured housing related support to tenants of Mind in Gwent Supported Housing, and floating tenancy support to people experiencing mental health difficulties. 

To act as keyworker providing practical and emotional support, advice, information and advocacy towards the goal of achieving greater independence in the community.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Deliver person-centred housing related intervention to clients which promotes their mental wellbeing and independence whilst supporting to progress toward a life without the need for support. To work with clients in a manner which promotes autonomy to assess their own needs and develop and create individual personal support and plans to achieve their identified goals.

To network effectively with voluntary and statutory agencies to promote the needs of the clients.

Working with clients so that they have the knowledge, understanding and skills to access services and support with the aim to improve their mental wellbeing and resilience. 

Provide support to clients in accessing benefits and housing-related assistance, when applicable, to enhance their income and housing opportunities. Stay informed about current Social Security policies and housing legislation, ensuring clients are referred to specialist advisors when necessary. 

Focus on client involvement ensuring that clients have their views heard and that the needs and wishes, individually and collectively, are respected in the services and support provided. 

Work as part of the Housing and Tenancy Support Team and the wider Mind in Gwent Team to develop and deliver activities that achieve positive outcomes for Mind in Gwent tenants or clients receiving tenancy support. 

Ensure all work is recorded and monitored to achieve outcomes and contribute to performance management on an individual, team and organisational basis.

The Director of Finance & Planning is a member of the senior management team and key Board liaison, responsible for supporting the organisation to deliver a sustainable financial and operating model. Therefore, the role is key at both the strategic and operational levels, including finance & planning, operations, HR and IT. 

Main responsibilities

Board representation and liaison

• Act as the key focal point for the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, including liaison with the Treasurer on agendas, producing relevant papers and tracking/implementing agreed action points
• Attend People and other Committee meetings as required

• Ensure company secretarial requirements are met for Bond, including Companies House and Charity Commission filings. 

Ensure appropriate financial governance framework is in place

• Ensure that appropriate financial controls, systems and resourcing are in place that meet the needs of the organisation, adapting as these evolve over time 
• Oversee regular review of finance/HR/operations policies and related staff hand-books, ensuring appropriate updates are made as needed and communicated to stakeholders as necessary 
• Ensure timely, accurate and insightful monthly management reporting is produced for the organisation 
• Provide updates on Bond’s finances to SMT and staff as required, at least quarterly 
• Enable accurate and timely financial reporting to funders in line with funding agreements. Maintain oversight of basis for allocation of costs and staff time to restricted grants 
• Take ownership of the year end external audit, leading the audit relationship and overseeing accounts production and sign off 
• Maintain Bond’s reserve policy, tracking financial position against agreed target and ensuring annual review of policy and target level with Trustees 

Provide organisational leadership on Finance, Operations and HR 

• Provide leadership and line management to the Finance, Operations & Effectiveness team. Provide support and oversight on day-to-day activities of the team as needed.

• Monitor risks owned by Director of Finance & Planning, ensure that required actions are being taken and report any change in risk profile to the CEO, SMT and the Board

• Review material contracts before signature, to assess financial and operational risks, and seeking external legal counsel where needed 

Day-to- day finance tasks 

• Due to size of Bond and the small finance team, Director of Finance & Planning is required to undertake day to day finance tasks as needed, such as: 
• Oversee, review and sign off on payroll, pension and taxes including monthly payroll journal to allocate costs to grants 
• Review and sign off bank reconciliations and journals raised by the Finance Manager 
• Overhead allocations to grants 
• Donor financial reporting production and review 

Person Specification

Required 

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)

We’ve made substantial progress in recent years, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and significant growth in our staff team. In Spring 2026, we will launch our refreshed organisational strategy, which will shape our work over the next three years and beyond. To support this growth, we are recruiting for a full time National Director of Operations to lead our delivery across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and emerging community settings, with an ambition to reach Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in scaling our impact and strengthening our presence across the criminal justice system and beyond.

As National Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning programmes in prisons and community settings. You will ensure high‑quality, consistent and accessible delivery, overseeing a team of six Regional Managers and a wider workforce of around 65 staff, volunteers and over 2,000 peer mentors trained each year.

Working closely with senior colleagues, partner organisations and national bodies such as HMPPS, you will drive programme excellence, innovation and partnership working. You will also play a key role in new business development, operational strategy, contractual delivery and ensuring we can reliably demonstrate the impact of our work.

The role requires an experienced operational leader with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for people facing disadvantage. You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• A track record of delivering large-scale programmes and leading distributed teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience working with statutory bodies or large public-sector partners (e.g. HMPPS).
• Excellent judgement, communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Understanding of the criminal justice system, safeguarding, or alternative education environments (desirable).
• A collaborative, inclusive leadership style aligned with Shannon Trust’s values.

This is a home-based role but will require travel around the UK including overnight stays. This role is 5 days per week (35 hours) with working days/hours to be mutually agreed in line with business needs.

Working closely with the CEO, you will bring structure and clarity to a fast-paced workload, ensuring priorities are well managed and time is used effectively. This includes managing a complex diary and inbox, acting as a gatekeeper, organising meetings, preparing documentation and supporting effective communication across the organisation.

You will help track key actions, deadlines, and priorities, driving progress and accountability. You will also support the Board through high-quality administrative and governance support.

This is a role where your work will have real impact. Success in this role will be reflected in the CEO and Board being well-supported, well-prepared, and able to focus on strategic leadership, with confidence that the detail, coordination, and follow-through are in safe hands.

About SARSAS

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

SARSAS works to feminist principles: this underpins both what our service is and how it is run. Our work is guided by a trauma-informed approach which understands how traumatic experiences can impact on survivors and keeps an awareness of the effects of trauma at the forefront of our approach to support.
