Scope and senior accountability
Hold delegated senior responsibility for the performance, quality, workforce, safeguarding and development of the children and family services portfolio.
Lead EHWP+ as a key commissioned programme, ensuring that delivery remains aligned with contract requirements, local need, agreed outcomes and Spring North’s values.

4. Key accountabilities
4.1 Strategic leadership of children and family services
- Develop and implement a clear strategic direction for EHWP+ and the wider children and family services portfolio, aligned with Spring North’s organisational strategy and local commissioning priorities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the changing needs of children, young people, parents and carers, using data, lived experience, professional insight and community intelligence to shape priorities.
- Create a more connected portfolio by linking existing services, clarifying pathways and reducing gaps, duplication and avoidable hand-offs for families.
- Promote early help, prevention, relationship-based and strengths-based approaches that improve emotional health, wellbeing, resilience and family outcomes.
- Keep abreast of policy, legislation, evidence and emerging practice affecting children, young people and families, translating these into proportionate action.
4.2 EHWP+ programme leadership and delivery
- Provide senior leadership and direction to the EHWP+ team, creating a shared focus on access, quality, outcomes, partnership delivery and continuous improvement.
- Lead the operational delivery of counselling and therapeutic provision, ensuring clear service models, referral and allocation arrangements, appropriate caseload management, safe thresholds, effective practitioner deployment and consistent therapeutic practice across employed teams and delivery partners.
- Ensure counselling and therapeutic interventions are delivered by appropriately qualified and competent practitioners, with suitable induction, supervision, continuing professional development and access to specialist or clinical advice where required.
- Ensure that service plans, capacity, resources and delivery arrangements are sufficient to meet contractual commitments and respond appropriately to local need.
- Establish clear management arrangements, decision-making routes and performance expectations across employed teams and delivery partners.
- Review delivery data, caseload or activity information, outcomes, waiting times, feedback and emerging risks; agree and monitor corrective action where required.
- Ensure that the voice of children, young people, parents and carers is visible in-service design, review and improvement.
- Support effective mobilisation, change and service redesign when contracts, need or evidence require a different delivery response.

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are expanding our team of IPS Employment Advisors in our IPS service in the London Borough of Newham. You will be based in one of NHS mental health treatment teams in the East Ham area.
IPS services at Working Well Trust have been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adhere to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment.
This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain and sustain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
What you’ll be doing
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will be working to contract targets to maintain a high-quality service.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach thatalways remainsclient led.
You will be based at one of the following NHS mental health treatment teams:
- Community Recovery Team (North), Newham
- Community Integrated Mental Health Team (North), Newham
You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Newham to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.

The Role:

Role Context
Recovery in Community is a successful partnership between Manchester Mind and Gaddum. We support people to manage and live with their mental health in their community. Staff are employed by both organisations but work together collaboratively and as a team.
As the Recovery in Community Worker (Referral and Assessment) you will be supporting people in who have been referred into Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) services but may not meet the threshold for secondary or specialist mental health services. The aim of this work is to ensure that people referred receive the right support at the right time.
You will work closely with the Referral and Assessment team at Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust (GMMH) to take referrals and ensure people get access to the mental health and social support they need.
Role Purpose
You will be building trusting and kind relationships with the understanding that they enable people to be listened to and heard and that this makes a difference. You will be part of a team providing effective person-centred support to people who come through the referral and assessment hub – many of whom often have tried many times to get the help they need. We want to enable people to feel connected within their communities – to services, friends and family.
You will also be building relationships with NHS and statutory services. The structure of the service is brief intervention (working with people for a short period of time) with a focus on supporting people to connect to community services and resources effectively.
You will be well supported in this role. The service takes a team-based approach, and you will be joining a team of five and you will be supported directly by a Team Coordinator as well as being part of the wider Recovery in Community Service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Take referrals from the GMMH (Greater Manchester Mental Health) Referral and Assessment Hub and build trusting relationships with people so that they receive the support they need to recover and stay well.
· Build relationships with other key professionals to ensure individuals achieve their goals (e.g. GPs, social care, community services etc).
· Support the development of a supportive and productive referral route into and out of the service, managing exit from the service safely.
· Support the development of this new service, responding professionally to changes as we improve and evolve our working practice collaboratively.
· Provide a trauma-informed service to people: listening, offering safety, choice and empowerment to the people you support so they can effectively engage with services and make sustainable links in with their communities.
· Identify and deliver appropriate interventions.

· Independently travel to visit people in a range of settings across in Manchester and across Greater Manchester, adhering to lone working and risk management procedures.

The Peer Recovery Worker will support people who are sleeping rough, at risk of rough
sleeping, or going through important stages in housing and recovery. The main purpose
of this role is to help reduce the harm caused by rough sleeping.
You will listen, build trust, give practical help and share clear information. You will help
people connect with the right support, including housing, health care, drug and alcohol
services, benefits advice, community groups, and services based at WSUP.
WSUP is not a drug and alcohol treatment provider, so this role does not involve
clinical treatment or specialist interventions. Instead, you will help people understand
their options, prepare for appointments, overcome barriers and stay connected with
services that can meet their needs.
You do not need to have all the answers.
We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable, calm and able to support people
without judgement. We welcome applications from people who have lived experience of homelessness,
addiction or recovery, and who feel ready to use that experience to support others
safely and positively.
This is a 12-month fixed-term post, with the possibility of extension for up to a further two years, subject to funding and organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement
- Build trusting and respectful relationships with people experiencing roughsleeping, homelessness, substance use, poor mental health or social isolation.
- Engage people in the Target Priority Group cohort through drop-ins, planned appointments, informal conversations and outreach.
- Provide emotional and practical support, listening and helping people feel heard.
- Use lived experience, where appropriate, to build connection, reduce stigma and inspire hope.
- Encourage people who may be unsure about housing, treatment or other support to explore their options at their own pace.
- Maintain contact during periods of disengagement, relapse, crisis or transition, within the boundaries of the role.

Practical support and navigation
- Provide clear, accurate information about local treatment, health, housing, benefits and community services.
- Introduce people to co-located services at WSUP and help them understand what each service can offer.
- Provide warm handovers and accompany people to appointments where this is helpful, agreed and within the service plan.
- Help people with practical tasks such as phone calls, forms, identification, benefits enquiries and gathering information for appointments.
- Work closely with treatment, outreach, housing, health and other partners so that support is coordinated and responsibilities are clear.
- Advocate for people when stigma, exclusion or difficult processes create barriers to support.
- Support people at key transition points, including moving from the street into accommodation, leaving hospital, prison or treatment, or returning to services after disengagement.
- Help people connect with local groups, activities and community support that may improve wellbeing and reduce isolation.
- Support day-to-day service delivery by staffing open sessions including Saturdays (on rota), covering reception duties and attending relevant team and management meetings.
Recording, safety and outcomes
- Record all contacts, actions, referrals, risks and outcomes accurately and promptly on WSUP's case management system.
- Complete triage/ONS4 wellbeing monitoring at the agreed stages.
- Complete ERSRAT monitoring across the newly registered guests, active caseload, including baseline information and follow-up reviews.
- Identify safeguarding concerns, immediate risks and changes in a person's situation, and report or escalate them without delay.
- Follow WSUP procedures on confidentiality, consent, information sharing, lone working, incidents, professional boundaries and health and safety.
- Contribute to support plans, case reviews and multi-agency discussions.
- Help collect guest feedback, case studies and evidence of outcomes, with appropriate consent.
Working with co-located services
- Welcome and introduce people to visiting and co-located professionals.
- Help guests prepare for conversations with treatment, housing, health, benefits and other services.
- Share relevant information in line with WSUP policies and procedures.
- Follow up agreed actions and help guests understand what will happen next.

Our client provides structured drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services for women, children and families affected by substance use.
As a Recovery Worker, you will work within a specialist, trauma-informed, gender-responsive and child-centred service delivering structured interventions to support women and families to achieve positive and lasting change.
You will work directly with women and some men (via partnerships) impacted by substance use. Your role as a Recovery Worker will include conducting assessments, providing care coordination / key work to a caseload of clients on an individual basis (face to face and over the phone) and facilitation of groups.
The women on your caseload will be experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol and be working towards recovery. Support will range from guidance on harm minimisation, to support reducing substance use, to (in some cases) complete abstinence. You will agree and formulate individual care plans with the clients you support to ensure the promotion of choice and independence.
The role requires close multi-agency working, participation in safeguarding processes, and the delivery of both individual and group-based interventions.
This is a rewarding but demanding role working with women who experiencing a range of needs, including substance use, trauma, domestic abuse, poor mental health and safeguarding concerns.

- Strong understanding of substance use treatment, recovery planning and case management.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), harm reduction, recovery capital, and psychosocial interventions such as CBT, ACT and mindfulness-based approaches.

Single Homeless Project's (SHP’s) Camden Housing First service is expanding, and we’re looking for a passionate and skilled worker to join an innovative team supporting people with long histories of rough sleeping, multiple exclusion and co-occurring needs. This includes a new and important focus on supporting couples who have been rough sleeping and will be accommodated separately in their own self-contained flats, while receiving intensive, relational and trauma-informed support.
