Supporter care, stewardship and engagement
- Recruit, manage and support guests attending Back Up’s high-profile special events, delivering a seamless and memorable experience from invitation to follow-up.

Operational Events Co-ordination and Support

About the role
We are looking to hire a Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator within Restless Development’s UK Fundraising team. The fundraising team’s income has grown year on year and there is huge potential to continue to grow this further and create impact at scale.
The Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator will be primarily working on the Schools Triathlon programme and managing all PR & social media comms, and also supporting on both merchandise and sponsor management. The Schools Triathlon is the UK’s largest fundraising and sporting event for children aged 7-13. Its aim is to encourage more children into sport while also teaching them the importance of fundraising. Over the years, the events have raised over £3.4m for Restless Development and local charities and over 9,000 children have taken part. We are aiming to deliver 15 events in 2026 and significantly expand the series..
We are looking for an energetic team-player, proactive individual with great interpersonal skills who is happy to learn and get stuck in.
Key responsibilities
Deliver and event manage high-quality Schools Triathlon events in 2026 and beyond
- Throughout September to February, present assemblies for the Schools Triathlon to inspire school-age pupils to sign up and take part in the Schools Triathlon series, and motivate them to fundraise by delivering a fun and engaging presentation.
- Develop strong professional relationships with various important stakeholders from host schools throughout the year, in person and online; as well as with participating schools through the delivery of assemblies and in comms prior to the event day.
- Work with our event delivery partners to deliver 15 events throughout April, May and June 2026, ensuring that the event logistics, host school requirements, participant details are finalised and managing host school relations.
- Respond to enquiries from parents and guardians on our dedicated inbox and mobile phone when needed.
- Develop a good working relationship with the Triathlon Committee, made up of Restless Development staff and volunteers, while still keeping the appropriate members informed and bringing in support as and when needed.
- Update on relevant KPIs and income where needed
- Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with recruitment of regional volunteers when needed
Schools Triathlon social media & PR
- Lead on all social media activity for the Schools Triathlon across our social media channels
- Lead on liaising with external PR and Host school stakeholders to deliver exceptional PR across the Schools Triathlon event series
- Lead on being the main contact for all Host School marketing teams, ensuring effective working relationships are in place and maintained to an excellent standard

Systems, Processes & Communications
- Support the wider team with event comms responding in a timely and professional manner.

- Competent use of Excel to process data and regularly update internal and external databases.
- Manage the Schools Triathlon website, ensuring that it is up to date and relevant.

Role Summary:
The Smile Trian UK Senior Manager, Individual Giving leads on the development and delivery of the individual donor offline fundraising program, responsible for the acquisition, retention, upgrade and reactivation of individual donors through various channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing and SMS and Print. General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the UK Director of Fundraising in the development of the offline Individual Giving Strategy and other key initiatives and keep them updated and fully briefed regarding their implementation

Managing the delivery of up to 10 intergenerational projects in Greater London, and supporting the Senior Programme Manager and Partnerships Lead with the design of our intergenerational projects through training, resources and events.

Leading intergenerational Community and Social Action projects based in London
You will be leading all elements of the design, delivery and evaluation of up to 10 intergenerational projects, for our in person workshops. Designing activities to be used by different projects across the UK
You’ll be responsible for designing and sharing high quality activities and resources that can be used by other intergenerational projects in different parts of the country. You’ll involve younger and older people through co-design approaches, and draw these ideas together into beautiful, accessible resources to share.
Developing the InCommon events programme
Collaborating with the communications team, you’ll use your excellent facilitation and presentation skills to design and manage our events programme, specifically our annual Age Friendly Awards and other fundraising and awareness raising events.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and programme participants.
You’ll lead on all of our communications, and drive engagement with key project stakeholders and participants, curating a wide variety of audiences with warmth, clarity and enthusiasm. Your efficient, thoughtful, professional approach will build trust and lead to close working relationships.
Contributing to the long term development of the our programmes
You will work closely with our Strategic Management Team and the Senior Programme Manager to grow our work, proactively looking for development opportunities and ways to increase our impact and meet our charitable objectives.

Overall Job Purpose
As part of the Fundraising and Communications Department this role is responsible for creating bold, inspiring new ideas for the charity across digital, marketing and communications, PR, campaigns and internal communications.
You will be passionate about telling stories to inspire action from external supporters and will have responsibility for executing the marketing plan to support events, partnerships, and campaigns. You’ll also collaborate with the Fundraising and Services Teams to identify our target audiences and make suggestions on how to communicate across multiple channels to best drive engagement.

Working Relationships
This role is all about building strong relationships across the organisation to align marketing and communications with our priorities, juggling income generation, service promotion, and leadership communications.
You'll be the central communications hub, turning organisational goals into engaging content that resonates with our audiences.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced governance professional to join our Governance Team.
