Battersea is two years into an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as part of a five-year strategy to be here for every dog and cat. With increased investment in income generation, we have recently expanded our team to drive the growth necessary to achieve our organisational goals. Our fundraising team connects the journey of the animals in our care to the wider public, demonstrating how their contributions enable us to support every dog and cat. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the implementation of our new strategy.
This role leads the ongoing development and implementation of Battersea's Supporter Experience strategy, creating relevant and engaging supporter experiences that build loyalty, increase long-term value and support income growth. Working across Public Fundraising and the wider Income Generation directorate, the role is responsible for shaping supporter journeys, embedding supporter-centred approaches and using insight, data and technology to continuously improve engagement, retention and supporter value.

In return for your commitment to our cause and to recognise the value of our employees, Battersea offers a range of benefits to support the wellbeing of our employees. These include:
We are also committed to providing learning and development to our employees. During your time with us, we provide support for your professional and career development, including access to digital and in-person training programmes, leadership and management training, mentoring and much more.
Our hybrid working model:
We operate a 50% onsite hybrid working model, with our office-based staff splitting their time between site based and home working. This enables our office-based staff to balance the benefits of home working with onsite collaboration and maintaining a connection to our cause.

Acceptable use of AI:
At Battersea, we value expertise. We recognise each candidate that applies to us will have a range of expertise they can offer us, so we want to hear about this in your own words. We understand the support that generative artificial intelligence (AI) software can offer but it can also lead to numerous applications presenting as generic and impersonal. This makes it difficult to gain understanding of your unique experience.
To best showcase yourself, we encourage you to write your responses without the assistance of AI. If you require the use of AI software to aid in completing your application, we ask you use the generative responses as a prompt for writing your answers and avoid copying and pasting. About the Service
Ella House supports women facing multiple disadvantages and intersectional challenges, including homelessness, substance misuse, contact with the criminal justice system and mental ill health. These women can fall through the gaps between services and systems, making it harder for them to address their challenges and lead fulfilling lives. At Ella House, the goals are to support clients with multiple and complex needs, recognising the emotional and compound trauma that can accompany and, in many cases, precede homelessness, and to co-produce, co-ordinate and deliver support.
Ella House provides support by empowering women through independence, inclusion, peer support and wellbeing, bringing together diverse expertise and approaches.
The service delivers holistic support, where people are seen for their full combination of strengths, capacities, and experiences. We recognise how women, as individuals, want to be supported to define and work towards their goals. This looks different for everyone and will require staff to be patient, observant, creative and committed to trying a range of approaches.
About the Role
Multiple Disadvantage Workers provide support services to women affected by multiple disadvantages, who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence and who have mental ill health and/or use substances.
You will ensure the smooth running of the refuge, including processing and admitting new referrals, ensuring rent and personal charges are paid, preparing rooms, overseeing general housekeeping, organising repairs and responding to crisis situations. You will work with women to devise a Support Plan that meets their immediate practical and emotional needs and starts the process of recovery, linking women to more specialist support services where required. You will work in a trauma-informed way and ideally have a background in supporting people with significant mental ill health and/or substance use issues.
About You
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of multiple disadvantages and their impact on women, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to clients experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, contact with the criminal justice system and mental ill health.
You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, as well as the ability to work with women to help them understand their needs, assess risk, develop safety plans and link with other agencies.
You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.
In addition to case management, you will be required to undertake housing management responsibilities, including health and safety and maintenance of the accommodation. You will have excellent administrative and time management skills.
Additional Information
The postholder will be based at our Haringey service, working full-time from Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis and providing on-site support to survivors. Given the nature of this role, we are unable to offer hybrid working for this position.

Corporate is a very well-established income stream within the fundraising team, but there's lots of opportunity to grow by building on the brilliant 40+ year reputation of donor care and fundraising products.
Trinity is preparing for its second large-scale public art trail, which will take place in 2028. This is such an exciting opportunity for the new Business Development Officer who'll play a key role in sponsorship recruitment, corporate stewardship, business engagement as well as project planning and delivery. This is expected to become one of the most significant corporate fundraising and sponsorship opportunities over the coming years and offers considerable scope for visibility and impact
About You
This role would suit a natural relationship builder with a talent for finding creative ways to connect with corporate supporters while attracting new businesses opportunities. You may already work in a corporate fundraising, business development or sales role, but the hospices also open to someone with experience in partnerships, marketing, recruitment or professional services.
What's important is that you'll have a track record of meeting financial targets and balancing a demanding workload with competing deadlines. We'd love to see applications from people who are creative and come with a growth mindset, who are looking to increase their understanding of fundraising and build on the skills they already have.
This role requires a full driving licence with access to a car as you will be spending time out and about across the region as well as being on site at the hospice.
If this role sparks your interest, please send a copy of your profile or CV to Ellen Drummond at Charity People as the first step.
