The organisation is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its next Chief Executive on a two-year fixed-term contract, leading the organisation through a significant period of transformation, stabilisation and renewal.

Islington Refuge Service provides emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. About the Role

As a Children Sessional Play Worker, you will be involved in the planning and delivery of a variety of sessions and activities for children and young people at the refuge. This includes listening to children’s ideas to design services around their needs, choices, and aspirations. You will support and involve children in activities which are playful, stimulating, and enjoyable.

You will work alongside the Family Support Worker, encouraging all children to take part and have as much fun as possible whilst helping to develop children's learning, well-being, and social skills.

About You

You will have experience of working with children and you are passionate about play as well as dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe space for all children - supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on children as well as practical experience of working with children and within a team. You will also need to demonstrate a proven ability to work on your own initiative and under supervision. A minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in child-care /play/ youthwork /sports/coaching or creative arts is desirable. Additional Information

The role is centred around coordinating high-quality activities for children. Given the nature of this role, we are unable to offer hybrid working for this position.

This is a part time post at 16 hours per week and a fixed term contract to 31st March 2027.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring Shelter’s IT infrastructure is secure, reliable and fit for the future. Working across a range of technologies, you’ll provide expert technical leadership, lead the delivery of infrastructure projects and improvements, resolve complex technical issues, and help maximise the value of Shelter’s investment in technology. You’ll work closely with colleagues across IT and the wider organisation to develop resilient, innovative solutions that support our strategic objectives while continuously improving our systems, services and ways of working.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need proven relevant experience that includes managing major updates and the replacement or commissioning of new services. You’ll also need to have worked deploying and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure hosted Windows and ideally Linux servers and Entra ID administration. An awareness and understanding of best working practice around information and technology security is important too, while it goes without saying that you have great problem-solving skills. Comfortable working both as part of team and independently, it’s anticipated that some tasks may fall outside of your prior experience, so you’ll also need to be keen to learn and develop. The ideal candidate should have practicable knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies including the configuration and troubleshooting of switches using GUI and Command line interfaces. ROLE OVERVIEW

This is an administrative and coordination role, helping individuals and families to access appropriate guidance from the Centre’s qualified religious advisors. The postholder will manage appointments, maintain case records, and ensure the smooth operation of our community-facing services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conduct initial meetings with individuals and families to evaluate their needs and direct them to the appropriate internal service.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

We're looking for an Impact, Evaluation & Learning Lead with experience in impact measurement, evaluation and organisational learning to join our Research, Learning & Systems Change Team within the Innovation, Policy & Systems Change Directorate. 

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how Young Lives vs Cancer understands, measures and improves the difference we make for children and young people with cancer and their families. You'll lead the development of evaluation and learning approaches across the charity, helping us understand what's working, what needs to change and where we can create even greater impact. 

Working collaboratively with colleagues across services, policy, engagement, fundraising, digital and data teams, you'll bring together evidence, data and lived experience to generate meaningful insights that improve services, inform strategic decisions and strengthen our influence beyond the organisation. You'll be equally comfortable thinking strategically and delivering hands-on evaluation activity, turning complex evidence into practical recommendations that drive change. 

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with cancer. We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to enable students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to realise their ambitions and achieve their wonderful potential.

As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping over 60,000 young people each year at its 46 learning centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, and we plan to scale-up our provision to 50 centres over the coming years.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who will enjoy working each day with young people and who will thrive in a frontline, community-based, fast-paced and rewarding role. You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Hull. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

The Role
Position: Dog Trainer
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Homebased covering Northampton region (see map for area)
Travel: This role will involve regular travel within the geographical area which you will cover (Northampton). Travel is usually by car however there may be some use of public transport. Occasional regional travel and overnight stays.

You'll play a vital role in training assistance dogs to a high standard whilst supporting volunteers, partners and the wider team to ensure the health, wellbeing and successful placement of the dogs throughout their working career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Train Canine Partners dogs at all stages of their training, using positive and reward-based training.
• Tailor training programmes to suit individual partner needs during the matching process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all dogs in training.
• Deliver partnership placement courses, supporting both the partner and dog through the transition.
• Participate in volunteer recruitment activities, including events, social media campaigns and community outreach.

About You

• Strong practical and theoretical experience in dog training and behaviour.
• Ability to handle and train dogs at all ages, using positive and reward-based training methods.
• Good self-motivation, discipline and initiative.
• ICT skills, Microsoft Office, Salesforce (desirable but can offer training), email, internet etc.
• Full UK clean driving license and use of a vehicle for work that is suitable to safely transport a dog if required.
• ABTC-ATI or similar qualification or the willingness to complete it.
• Good communication and coaching / teaching skills.

As they enter an exciting new chapter, this newly created role will play a pivotal role in strengthening their campaigning capability and shaping some of the most important national and regional debates about how we use our finite supply of land in joined up, sustainable ways.

Working closely with colleagues across the charity, the charity's England wide network and external partners and allies, you'll help to drive the charity's ambitious campaigning agenda. This role will collaborate with the also newly created Head of Campaigns – Planning and Infrastructure. As Head of Campaigns, Landscapes and Land Use, you will lead ambitious national campaigns and policy communications that influence change and help people understand why decisions about all kinds of land use should be better connected and matter, and how they shape the future of the countryside we all depend on.

You will be able to demonstrate significant experience leading public campaigns, advocacy programmes, external affairs or influencing work, with a solid understanding of the political environment surrounding land use. You’ll have experience working with stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers at senior levels, developing strong relationships, with a track record of building partnerships and coalitions that achieve meaningful outcomes. We’re looking for a Head of Communications who will combine communications expertise and an innovative approach to storytelling to engage hundreds of thousands of Europeans in meaningful action. This role reports to the Campaigns Director and has line management responsibilities. 

You’ll work closely with our campaigns team and a social media manager to adapt and enhance campaigns through media, partnerships and content. This role works across multiple channels. You don’t need to be a tactical expert in all of them, but you need to be a strong strategic thinker who can carefully consider the role of each channel and asset. You will be as comfortable setting the strategic direction as you are delivering: pitching a story, briefing a journalist, running influencer outreach.

What you’ll do:

• Advise on and support the development of our campaigns by creating and inputting into campaign narratives and communications plans

• Work alongside campaigners and social media manager to oversee and/or produce complementary content that builds pressure on the target: reactive posts, video, and assets timed to campaign moments

• Liaise with media contacts and external agencies to find appropriate opportunities to amplify our campaigns across European and national media

• Build partnerships with influencers, creators, and independent activists to enhance the power and impact of our campaigns 

• Support the campaigns team to strengthen their storytelling skills and identify compelling storytelling opportunities in their partnerships, such as media hooks

• Build and sustain contact with journalists, produce press releases and briefings, keep our media database accurate and current across our priority countries

• Oversee and refresh our social media presence, line managing and coaching a social media manager. 

• Stay close to the news cycle and to what is working on social in order to identify moments that put our campaign in front of the people we need to move

• Contribute to defining the success measures for communications, including social media KPIs, and oversee activity to meet them 

• Advise senior leadership on communications and reputational considerations, including crisis communications approach
