Role Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic, operational and values-led leadership for Home-Start Norfolk, ensuring the charity delivers its mission, supports its families effectively and remains financially sustainable. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CEO will lead the organisation’s strategy, people, services, partnerships, governance, income generation and volunteer strategy, while acting as an ambassador for the charity and its work.

Volunteer Leadership
Provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the charity’s volunteer strategy, ensuring it supports organisational priorities and beneficiary needs.

Ensure volunteers are valued, well-supported, appropriately deployed and able to contribute safely and confidently to the charity’s work.

Background
Leatherhead Community Hub (LCH) has employed a Community Development/Engagement Worker since 2022, building relationships with local residents and listening to people’s concerns and hopes for North Leatherhead. This has led to the development of a number of successful community-led activities, including our weekly non-contact boxing and football training sessions for children and young people. More recently, we set up a Residents’ Panel and carried out a large-scale Community Survey, to help ensure that LCH is always listening to local residents and guided by local priorities.

Context
North Leatherhead is in the top 10% most deprived neighbourhoods in Surrey, with relatively high rates of poverty, economic inactivity, poor physical and mental health, and social isolation; all these issues have been exacerbated by the lack of community provision and damaging impact of the closure of the children’s centre and other community buildings in recent years.
Leatherhead Community Hub (LCH) was set up in July 2020 as a dedicated community centre in North Leatherhead. LCH provides opportunities for people to come together socially and build community, as well as giving our partner organisations a permanent base from which to offer critical support to local residents. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming space at the heart of the community, where people of all ages can connect, learn, have fun, and find the support they need to thrive. The Hub attracts around 3,500 visitors a month to our affordable café and the many other community activities run by LCH and other community groups.
Description of role:
We are looking for someone who is capable of running community projects, but who is keen to involve others and gains most joy and satisfaction from developing leaders and volunteers from within the local community and seeing them grow and succeed in their roles.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging and empowering the residents of North Leatherhead to facilitate positive change for the local community, by:
1) overseeing existing community projects, and encouraging the involvement of local residents in supporting, running, and leading these projects;
2) equipping local residents with the skills and confidence to initiate and run new community-led events and activities;
3) facilitating and growing our Residents’ Panel to play a key role in the governance and running of LCH, with a view to appointing several trustees from the local community.
4) promoting dialogue and collaboration between local residents and service providers, enabling people to have a greater say in decisions affecting the community;
5) supporting the management team and trustees in prioritising LCH’s resources to best serving the desires and needs of the local community.
6) subject to experience, we would also like the postholder to help with, or lead on, our social media alongside volunteers from the local community - although this is not an essential requirement for this role.
You will be employed by Leatherhead Community Hub, using the Hub as a base for networking, capacity-building, and community-led activities, whilst also reaching out and making connections with other sections of the local community. This role will require you to have a regular presence at LCH and in the wider community.
You will work closely with local service providers and other community organisations, including the council, housing association, and GP practices, as well as LCH’s core partners: Citizens Advice Mole Valley, EDGE Disability, Good Company Surrey (Foodbank), Link 2030, Mid-Surrey Community Fridges, The Gathering Church, and The Hive (a creative arts project). You will help promote a collaborative and participatory approach to supporting the community, seeking to ensure that local residents are directly engaged in initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of the North Leatherhead community.
You will be member of LCH’s Management Team, and line managed by the Managing Director, Tom Sefton, with advice & support from one of our Trustees and Co-Founders, Jenny Moore, who has worked in this community for over 20 years.
This role is partly funded by a multi-year grant from the National Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund, which includes a number of specific objectives which you will be responsible for delivering, including: growing our youth sports projects, supporting more community-led activities, establishing our Residents’ Panel; and increasing local representation on our Board of Trustees.

The role of the Domestic Abuse Team Leader is to provide operational support and management to a team of Independent Domestic Violence advisors (IDVAs) that provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse in Cumbria. We have sites across East Sussex, centred around our Foyers in Eastbourne and Hastings. These services provide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering low to medium levels of housing-related support. There are homes throughout East Sussex for young people we continue to support into independence via our Transitional Housing teams, these are typically larger shared houses of four to eight residents sharing some communal facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. In total there are approximately 180 residents in East Sussex that the maintenance team oversee.
A key part of the role involves redecorating empty homes to prepare them for new residents. This work must be completed promptly, to an agreed and consistent standard, and with clear communication to site and maintenance teams to ensure properties can be relet within void target times.
You will also carry out planned redecoration within communal areas of our accommodation, as well as offices and workspaces used by our staff and volunteers.

We are excited to be recruiting a University Events Officer to join The Scholars Programme team.
This role will be central in ensuring that we consistently deliver exceptional programme events for students across the UK by working closely with our university partners.
The University Events Officer will help ensure that online, in-school and on-campus events are designed and delivered to a high standard, and provide a rich, sector-leading experience to students aged 9-17. The University Events Officer will confidently build and maintain event planning relationships with a wide range of university stakeholders. They will work directly with colleagues in the Scholars Programme team and collaborate closely with other teams in the
charity, leading on a number of internal processes.
They will be up to date with the widening access and participation agenda and familiar with the challenges and opportunities facing the UK higher education sector.
The role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who will champion the charity’s values, support the whole team, and proactively find ways to improve what we do.
This role will involve some travel across the UK to support the planning and delivery of events at our different university partners.
While this role can be based at either our Leeds or London office, some travel will be required (mainly to London) for events and to attend in-person meetings.

About the Role
As a Psychological Therapist for Refugee Council, you will deliver specialist, culturally responsive psychological therapy and psychosocial interventions that improve the mental health, wellbeing, and resilience of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people across East Sussex. The role provides assessment, therapeutic intervention, risk management, and professional guidance, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure vulnerable young people receive safe, effective, and holistic support that enables positive outcomes and recovery.
Hours: 14 hours per week over 2 days (0.4 FTE).

The Role
To provide high-quality, person-centred support and housing management services to residents living within Causeway's Mental Health Needs Service. Residents accessing this service experience moderate to high mental health needs, which may include enduring mental illness and periods of crisis. This role is available on a 6 month fixed term contract. The working hours for this role is 35 hours per week Monday-Friday. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an organised, analytical and collaborative Audit Project Coordinator to support the delivery of Epilepsy12, our national clinical audit focused on improving care for children and young people with epilepsy and their families.
Reporting to the Epilepsy12 Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of this important national audit. You will work closely with paediatric services across NHS Health Boards and Trusts, supporting high-quality data collection, responding to participant queries and helping services understand and use audit findings to drive quality improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a health or research environment who enjoys working with data, coordinating projects and building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of audit systems, communications and publications, helping to ensure Epilepsy12 has maximum impact on clinical practice and outcomes for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the collection of high-quality audit data and supporting NHS services with data submission and participation
