An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Visitor to join NYAS Independent Monitoring Service.
This is a full-time permanent role, working 35 hours per week across Scotland.
As an Independent Visitor you will be required to complete and report on settings via independent visits
The purpose of this role is to ensure that judgements are consistent with evidence provided and that the feedback given is an element of continuous improvement.
While the role is home-based, where travel is required, it may include public transport.

Veterans Community Occupational Therapist
Location: Remote working
We have two positions available – one based in the North of England and one based in the South of England.
- North: Preferably based in North-West England, including Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool and surrounding areas.
- South: Preferably based in Salisbury or the surrounding areas.
We are open to candidates who live further afield, where the location is within a reasonable travelling distance for the community-based requirements of the role.
Both positions involve community-based travel as part of the role, as well as occasional UK-wide travel to attend face-to-face clinical and wider team meetings (approximately 4–5 times per year).
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

About the Role
Our small Fundraising team has benefitted from significant investment in recent years and this maternity cover role will provide vital continuity as EIA develops and expands its network of philanthropic supporters and strategic partners. Responsibilities include engaging with residents, helping prepare meals, supporting sentence plans with probation and police partners, and assisting with admin and activity delivery. The role involves enforcing curfews and drug/alcohol testing requirements, maintaining safety, cleanliness, and well-being at the premises, and ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping. Staff are expected to model respectful behaviour, follow operational procedures, and contribute to a positive, enabling environment in line with Hestia and Ministry of Justice standards.
