We are looking for someone who is excited to  support young refugees from 11 – 25 yrs. old living in Croydon. Young refugees have a unique and complex lived experience and need a range of different support that should be tailored to their needs.  We deliver trauma informed, relational and humanistic mental health interventions and to help young refugees navigate their experiences in a new life and environment and to build their resilience and ability to use mental health resources and tools to gain insight into their emotions, feelings and behaviours.  We are looking for someone with experience of working with young refugees or a passion to develop work with this client group and champions their needs in a complex life.

For all posts you need to have a mental health qualification and at least two years’ experience of working with young people. We are also looking for people with an open and flexible attitude; excellent engagement skills and a passion for working with children and young people around mental health.

Responsibilities include offering a flexible range of short-term and longer-term mental health interventions to children and young people aged 11-25 including individual and group-based support; workshops; crisis support; mental health themed activities. The posts have scope and opportunity for developing new initiatives and ways of working to support young people’s mental health across South London.

All posts are fully office based and will require flexible working across service areas and interventions and will involve regular evening and weekend work to meet the needs of young people.

Digital Fundraising Officer - 12-month Maternity Cover

The Veterans' Foundation is entering its second decade with a clear ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified and data-led fundraising model. Following ten years of rapid growth driven primarily through lottery acquisition, the organisation is now evolving its approach to strengthen supporter engagement, improve retention and maximise fundraising performance across a wider range of income streams.

This role will play an important part in that transition. As the Foundation launches a new website, develops its use of Salesforce and strengthens its supporter communications, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help deliver effective digital fundraising and engagement activity across multiple channels. Principal Duties

The aim of the programme is to drive improvement in respiratory disease across primary care, secondary care, and pulmonary rehabilitation with the delivery of national clinical and organisational audits across England and Wales. 

Purpose and scope

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) audit for NRAP, working closely with the relevant programme coordinator and clinical lead to ensure all outputs are delivered in line with contractual requirements
• Manage the adult and children and young people (CYP) Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) panels, including liaison with and oversight of the subcontractor responsible for delivering the CYP element

• Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including sub-contractors, to establish effective operational procedures and achieve project milestones.

Co-design and deliver initiatives: Collaborate with the IOP and wider partner teams (Royal Society of Chemistry and Science Made Simple) to deliver core project activities including:

• Welsh Physics Teaching Network
• Easy Teach professional learning sessions
• Physics Forums
• Resource Round-Ups
• Whole-School Inclusion and Equity Network activities
• Primary and Secondary Science Days

Professional development delivery: Deliver evidence-based CPD, mentoring, and coaching to support practitioners, particularly early-career and out-of-field teachers, to build subject knowledge and confidence in teaching physics in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

Equity and inclusion: Contribute to equity-focused interventions that explore and address systemic and school-level barriers to post-16 physics participation, including unconscious bias and science capital gaps.

Monitoring and reporting: Track and evaluate programme delivery, capturing data on participation, feedback, outcomes, and impact. Contribute to quarterly monitoring reports and support external evaluation.

Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools in Wales, education stakeholders, and fellow partners. Represent the IOP in local networks and act as a regional champion for physics education.

Continuous learning: Develop and maintain your expertise in science education, curriculum reform, inclusion strategies, and subject-specific pedagogy to ensure interventions are current, effective, and aligned with practitioners' needs.

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:

Essential:

• Experience teaching physics or facilitating science CPD at a secondary level.
• Delivering or supporting science education, CPD, or curriculum-aligned science communication.
• Coaching, mentoring, or training teachers or education professionals.
• Working with schools in Wales and understanding the Welsh education landscape.
• Leading or contributing to inclusive practice and equity-based initiatives.

Nice to have:

• Welsh language skills are desirable to support bilingual communications across the project
• Understanding of barriers to STEM progression, particularly for underrepresented groups, and strategies to promote science capital.

How will I be working?

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard.

You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working.

As an organization we meet in person once a quarter at our Head Office in Kings Cross, London.

About the role

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Executive, we’re looking for a versatile Graphic Designer who can create both product designs and marketing/ecommerce artwork. You’ll turn written or verbal ideas into engaging visual assets, bringing concepts to life across a range of projects. Experience in both product development and marketing design is important, as is the ability to adapt your creative approach across Scout Store’s different sub-brands and audiences, from young people and parents to volunteers and B2B customers.

Main duties as our Graphic Designer   

• Create product mock-ups and visual assets for marketing, ecommerce, email campaigns, social media, and digital channels.

• Work across multiple projects, supporting the Buying, Ecommerce, and Marketing teams while prioritising work based on impact and business value.

• Adapt designs for different sub-brands and audiences, ensuring all creative output is engaging, audience-focused, and on-brand.

• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to refine designs, maintain brand consistency, and support website updates where needed.

What we are looking for in ourGraphic Designer

• Proven Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing product design, digital artwork, and marketing campaigns.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent), with experience creating content for ecommerce, social media, email marketing, and digital channels.

• Able to interpret briefs, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and adapt creative work across brands, formats, and audiences.

• Collaborative and adaptable, with strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a proactive approach to delivering results.

• Commitment to inclusion, diversity, safeguarding, and building positive working relationships; video editing and knowledge of Scouting are desirable but not essential.
