About the role

The Database and Fundraising Development Officer role involves:

• Working closely with the Communications and Marketing Coordinator and Content Manager to segment data and tailor content accordingly
• Ensuring Kids Matter’s CRM (Beacon) becomes a fit for purpose tool for all things fundraising and marketing.
• Developing an excellent working understanding of GDPR and other such regulations, ensuring Kids Matter complies in how data is both collected and stored.
• Helping develop a structured and sustainable individual giving programme (both one-off and regular)

We are delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy to grow and optimise voluntary net income, public support and awareness of our charity. A brand-new weekly lottery is at the heart of these plans, and we are looking for a Lottery & Raffle Campaign Manager to help us launch it — and shape the future of fundraising at Woodgreen.

This is a rare opportunity to launch a charitable lottery from the ground up. You’ll work closely with our External Lottery Manager (ELM) and lead Woodgreen through to our first weekly draw. Alongside the lottery, you’ll take ownership of our raffle programme — which has just gone through a successful transformation and continues to grow — and bring the two products together into one thriving gaming programme.

You will:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of our Weekly Lottery, from setup and compliance through to launch and beyond.
• Manage Woodgreen’s relationship with the External Lottery Manager, ensuring the programme runs compliantly and effectively.
• Take day-to-day ownership of the raffle programme, building on its recent transformation and growing it as part of an integrated gaming offer.
• Project manage direct marketing campaigns across direct mail and digital, from briefing through to evaluation, using data and insight to optimise performance.
• Partner with our Acquisition team on player recruitment across Face-to-Face, paid media and other channels.
• Ensure full compliance with Gambling Commission regulations, the Gambling Act 2005, LCCP obligations and Fundraising Codes of Practice.
• Support budget setting, monitoring and evaluation, interrogating results to inform future campaigns.

Bringing significant experience of managing a charity lottery or raffle programme, alongside substantial experience of developing and delivering direct marketing campaigns you will have strong project and budget management skills, and a detailed working knowledge — or a real appetite to build one — of large society lottery compliance, including responsible gambling and marketing rules.

Above all, you will be genuinely analytical, comfortable working with data, confident interrogating campaign results, and skilled at spotting the patterns that drive better decisions. You will use insight to challenge assumptions — including your own — and to keep raising the bar on what your campaigns deliver.  Organised and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, you will be a confident communicator at ease briefing agencies and working across teams, someone who cares about doing things properly: brand, compliance and supporter experience all matter equally.

This full time, permanent opportunity will operate in a hybrid working environment and although much of it can be done remotely our successful candidate must be able to attend our offices near Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire (PE29 2NH) for an average of 1-2 times per month dependent on business need.

The starting salary for this position is £36,665 - £44,812 per annum depending on experience.  This is complemented by;

Job Summary
Working closely with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role will support the delivery of high value corporate partnerships, including stewardship and engagement activities, as well as business development, identifying opportunities with aligned brands and up-coming charity of the year applications, to develop new corporate partnerships. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with one day a week in the office in West London, and expectation to attend partner events where required. 

You will be a creative, organised and reliable individual, ideally with experience in a fundraising team, supporting corporate partnerships or community fundraising. An excellent communicator, able to manage your time effectively and build good working relationships, you will support the Income team to deliver and secure corporate partnerships, working with colleagues across the charity to identify opportunities for engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement
• Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to steward and engage partners and prospects, including thought leadership, communications, events, volunteering and fundraising activities
• Support with business development, utilising Salesforce, Pearlfinders and LinkedIn to identify and track opportunities

We’re seeking a highly organised, proactive Operations Coordinator to help keep our work running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a varied role supporting colleagues across teams, maintaining key systems and trackers, and helping ensure processes are clear and effective.

Pause works alongside women at risk of having children removed from their care, helping them improve their lives and influencing the services and systems that affect them. Our vision is a society where women who experience child removal receive the support they need so it never happens more than once.

You’ll provide high-quality operational and administrative support to the national team, monitoring shared inboxes, maintaining accurate records, supporting project and funding tracking, and helping ensure effective use of our case recording system.

This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, digitally confident and comfortable managing competing priorities. You’ll collaborate across teams, using strong communication and coordination skills, while taking ownership of your work and adapting to changing needs.

You’ll be part of a small, supportive team, where everyone takes a flexible and collaborative approach to work and is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable women. 

You’ll carry out key administrative tasks, growing the support and development function of the Charity. This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Foodbank realise its vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy operating through networks of affordable food clubs, foodbank welcome centres, holistic support projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity.

Your tasks will include stewardship communications with individual donors and creating assets for community supporters to generate food and financial resources. You will assist the securing of income from grant giving trusts and foundations, and will undertake key executive assistant duties on behalf of the Development Director and CEO.

Main Duties:

● Develop strong individual donor relations through regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, alongside establishing the associated data and systems;

● Create community development assets, which enables community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as for charitable fundraising / food donation events.

● Together with the Development Director and CEO, secure income from, and maintain relations with grant giving trusts and foundations.

● Together with the Development Director and CEO, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.

● Support the Development Director and CEO, in their communication with supporters and corporate partners, to build good relations, gain and maintain corporate partner support.

● Liaise with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network; sharing best practice and participating in learning opportunities, to further the work of Cambridge City Foodbank.

● Other administrative activities may be requested from time to time by the CEO and Development Director, consistent with the needs of the Charity and role of Executive Assistant.

Personal Specification:

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

● Strong administrative experience, highly organised, and able to effectively juggle multiple administrative tasks at the same time!

● Competent in the use of Zoom/Teams and MS Office software. Training will be provided to upskill in the use of Canva, Mailchimp, donor databases and social media (such as LinkedIn and Instagram).

● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling donor updates, applications and appeals.

NB. Experience of charitable fundraising is not essential when demonstrating the strong transferable skills above. Training will be provided.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Individual Giving Officer to join our fundraising team and play a key role in growing our supporter base and income.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have a varied and creative role, including:

• Leading the delivery of our Individual Giving income stream, including donor acquisition, retention and stewardship
• Building and managing strong relationships with supporters, ensuring excellent and personalised supporter care
• Developing and delivering engaging campaigns, appeals and communications across email, digital and direct channels
• Creating and improving supporter journeys to enhance engagement and long-term support
• Using CRM data (Donorfy/Beacon) to segment audiences, generate insights and inform activity
• Monitoring performance, reporting on income and identifying opportunities for growth
• Supporting the delivery of seasonal campaigns and fundraising appeals
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and impactful storytelling
• Working with digital colleagues to maximise online engagement
• Ensuring communications are compliant, accurate and aligned with our values (including GDPR and Gift Aid)

• Supporting wider fundraising activity and contributing ideas for continuous improvement

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. To build on our track record, we are now looking to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward key relationships.

In this exciting new role, you will play a key part in growing and sustaining our income from trusts and foundations. Be responsible for all aspects of the Charity - dogs, people, facilities ,compliance and finances

Manage the charity and the skilled staff within it

Actively promote high standards of care with the staff and volunteers

Support and co-ordinate the volunteers, foster carers and members

We have an experienced team of 13 staff in place across the Charity. They are passionate about caring for the dogs and finding suitable loving homes for them in the next stage of their lives.

What we’re looking for

Essential

· A self starter with a  passion for improving the lives of the dogs in our care

· Proven senior leadership experience in a charity, animal welfare, or similar organisation.

· Strong understanding of animal welfare principles and UK legislation affecting rehoming charities.

· Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, team leadership, and financial oversight.

· Successful track record in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and partnership building.

· Excellent communication, people management, empathy, and decision-making skills.

· Good listening skills and openness to staff proposals, suggestions. Utilisation of existing staff experience and qualifications

· Experience working directly in rescue, veterinary, or kennels environments.

· Knowledge of health and Safety and employment law

· Knowledge of marketing, PR, and community engagement strategies.

· Qualification in charity management, business administration, or animal welfare.
