Salary: Band C, £32,106 - £38,460 (depending on experience)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive community and events fundraiser with great project management and relationship building skills. You’ll be responsible for leading on a varied portfolio of fundraising activity, identifying new supporters, stewarding existing supporters and delivering community fundraising products and campaigns. 

Events and Community Fundraising is an established income stream at Breast Cancer UK but we know there is potential to grow, so we’re investing in proactively developing the area. This role is an opportunity for a talented fundraiser - with at least three years of experience working in Challenge Events and/or Community Fundraising and a strong track record of delivering results – to take a lead on these income streams and build something amazing. You’ll need a strong understanding of how to deliver excellent supporter experiences, and the ability to spot trends and opportunities aligned with our audiences and our brand, and capitalise on them.

What do we do? 

In the UK today, around 59,000 women and 420 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. 1 in 7 women will develop the disease at some point in their lives. 

But we believe in a future where fewer people have to face this devastating disease - because we know that at least 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable. 

By making changes to modifiable lifestyle and environmental risk factors, we can drive cases down. Our focus on prevention is unique - we are shining a light on the changes we can make at an individual and societal level to prevent breast cancer.

To achieve this, we: 

• Deliver an education programme - empowering individuals with trustworthy, science-backed information and guidance to help them understand and reduce their risk. 
• Fund research into the causes of breast cancer —while significant progress has been made in improving survival rates through new treatments, we are dedicated to ensuring fewer people ever receive a diagnosis.
• Run campaigns - to increase public understanding of the risk factors for breast cancer, such as Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, and to influence policy-makers and industry, to protect consumers and provide safer alternatives.

Our Youth and Play Practitioners will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. Terms

Introduction to Reset

Reset is a bold new incubation designed to dramatically change the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in England today for the better.

Reset exists for children who are on, or at risk of being placed on Deprivation of Liberty orders due to the high risks they face from themselves or others, their complex and intersecting needs, and due to the lack of effective support available.

The children Reset will support are likely to be aged 12 to 18 and face complex challenges that often stem from the impact of traumatic childhood experiences, such as mental ill-health, self-harming, being sexually and/or criminally exploited and getting caught in harmful risk-taking behaviours including the use of harmful substances such as drugs and alcohol.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,600 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supporter Care and Donation Processing professional to join our high performing Supporter Care Team at Brooke.  You will work as part of a busy Supporter Care and Fulfilment team providing high quality donation processing and fulfilment services, and the highest levels of supporter care. You will be responsible for completing donation and fulfilment day-to-day tasks within a busy Supporter Care team, including liaising/collaborating closely with the Finance and Database teams and other internal teams; always with a view to providing a first class donor experience whilst also seeking to retain and increase support of Brooke.

You will be joining a busy team, working very closely with Supporter Care colleagues to deliver excellent service provision to a variety of stakeholders and will support across both the Donation & Fulfilment, and Supporter Contact areas to ensure excellent Supporter Care provision at every touch point, for every supporter who interacts with us.

Criteria

You will have good experience of providing excellent supporter care to supporters and processing donations and fulfilment related work within a Supporter Care or Customer Services team, be able to communicate effectively with different audiences via a range of channels, and be able to demonstrate a passion for Brooke’s cause and talk confidently about our operational work.

You will need to multitask effectively, and have strong experience of handling complex administrative processes and being able to prioritise your workload and multitask effectively, enlisting support from other team members to do so.  You will be comfortable with working reactively to the changing demands within the team.

You must be able to demonstrate a keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy of work managing your own day-to-day tasks and workload, as well as be a keen team player, contributing towards a positive team culture by engaging with and supporting others.

About the Role

The Street Engagement Team is an innovative service that works across the West End/Westminster. The team offers an outreach response to people experiencing homelessness and also leads on several other CSTM projects that cover accommodation and health inclusion service offers.

You will be managing and leading a multi-disciplinary team who provides a blend of both long-term and short-term support to people experiencing multiple levels of disadvantages and interconnecting needs. Job Summary  

Rape Crisis England & Wales is the feminist charity working to end child sexual abuse, rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and all other forms of sexual violence.

We are looking for a Finance Officer who can work in a fast paced and demanding role to support the organisation. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial. This role is responsible for ensuring that all financial matters are handled responsibly and involves processing transactions and journals, supporting month-end close, preparing financial reports for team members, and checking financial transactions for corrections and coding errors.

You will support payment runs on a bi-weekly basis and assist with payroll preparation, working closely with the Freelance Finance Manager and colleagues across the organisation.

This role follows a remote working arrangement, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Head of Operations and will involve working with colleagues across the organisation on the following tasks

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain books of prime entry, to include managing receipts and invoices and associated financial records, files and supporting documentation.

· Process accounts payable end-to-end, ensuring accurate and timely payment of all authorised expenditure (bi-weekly payment runs).

· Prepare sales invoices as required and support credit control to ensure debtors pay promptly.
