The Role

You’ll receive full, structured training to competently support and deliver a range of abortion and reproductive healthcare services, including Early medical abortion (up to 9 weeks + 6 days), Surgical abortion (up to 23 weeks + 6 days) and Contraception services

Once fully trained (typically within 6–12 months), you will be required to also work independently across our community treatment centres in Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, and Nottingham.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supporter Engagement Manager position is a pivotal role in the Public Fundraising team, comprising seven specialist Fundraisers. The post-holder is responsible for driving growth in our Individual Giving programme through a mix of acquisition and retention campaigns.

Key internal relationships include the Head of Supporter Engagement and the Fundraising Management team.

The post-holder will work closely with the Fundraising Data Manager and the Community Engagement Manager on collaborative income generation and Supporter Engagement activities.

The post-holder will be instrumental in shaping the Individual Giving and Supporter cultivation strategies geared towards increasing our Cash and Regular Giving Supporter base.

The Individual Giving programme includes Cash Appeals, Regular Giving (including Door-to-Door recruitment), Hospice Lottery, Challenge Events, Legacies and Supporter Care. There is a strong focus on digital fundraising.

Assistant Financial Accountant

The role

As an Assistant Financial Accountant you'll use your positive attitude, your knowledge of financial accounting and reconciliation skills to deliver high quality support to the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and RCN Foundation.

In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will get involved in anything from balance sheet reconciliations to accounting for investments, providing support to the RCN Foundation and assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts.

We'll look to you to prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations for the RCN, assist with maintaining the fixed asset register and assist with cashbook posting and reconciliation for membership and events income recorded through CRM. It's a great way to build on your skills and experience and develop your potential.

The person

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you'll need an in-depth knowledge of accounting, a basic understanding of VAT, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial managers.

You'll be studying towards a recognised CCAB qualification with experience of producing balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset registers and investigating discrepancies.

Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real customer focus in all you do.

The ability to encourage close collaboration between various teams within the finance department is key for this role.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people aged 13–24 with cancer. Every day, seven young people in the UK hear the words “you have cancer”, and Teenage Cancer Trust ensures they do not face it alone.

The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.

Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Supporters are often personally connected to the cause, including young people, families and communities directly impacted by cancer, making this a highly rewarding fundraising environment.

Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (West Scotland) to grow and develop income across the West of Scotland. Essential skills and experience:

You’ll need access to a vehicle as there is a requirement to be able to travel across the region to attend meetings, events and training.

We’re looking for a Volunteer & Community Fundraising Assistant to join our friendly Community Fundraising team. This is a varied role where you’ll support volunteers and community fundraisers, respond to enquiries, help keep our records and processes running smoothly, and make sure volunteers and supporters feel welcomed, valued and appreciated.

What you’ll be doing

• Responding to enquiries from volunteers and supporters by phone, email and in person
• Helping volunteers get started, including applications, onboarding, training and inductions
• Coordinating rotas, records and supporter activity so the team has accurate information
• Supporting excellent stewardship so volunteers and supporters feel appreciated
• Helping with fundraising materials, hospital displays, stock and merchandise activity
• Supporting cash handling and donation administration, with accurate records for audit purposes

About you

You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys working with people and providing a thoughtful, professional service. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing a range of tasks, with good attention to detail and strong IT skills.

You don’t need to have worked in a charity before. Experience in administration, customer service, events, healthcare, retail or community settings could all be relevant. What matters most is your ability to build positive relationships, stay organised and help volunteers and supporters have a great experience.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

This role covers Thames Valley and surrounding areas. The role does require travel, however you have the freedom to plan your own diary around the demands of both the families you are working with, your team, and also any personal appointments you may need to attend.

What we’re looking for:

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines

· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident user of IT (including MSOffice)

· A persuasive and open communicator - you will work collaboratively with your team and volunteers to ensure delivery of a high-quality service and support fundraising colleagues by writing case studies and family updates
