About the Role

As a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality abortion care, contraception services and vasectomy care, helping MSI UK achieve its mission of making choice a reality for everyone.

Working alongside our Clinical Services Matron and Clinical Team Leader, you'll provide compassionate, client-focused care while supporting individuals to make informed choices about their reproductive health.

This is a varied and hands-on position where you'll continually develop your clinical expertise. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or newly qualified, you'll receive extensive training and support throughout your journey with us. Newly qualified nurses and midwives who have received their pin can benefit from our i-belong Preceptorship Programme, designed to provide a strong foundation for a successful career.

Once fully trained, you'll have the opportunity to work independently across both surgical and community treatment centres, including Crawley, Bognor Regis and Hastings. You'll also be supported to expand your clinical competencies, with training opportunities that may include:

• Ultrasound scanning
• Implant fitting and removal
• Coil fitting and removal
• Specialist reproductive healthcare skills

Our Hove centre provides:

• Early Medical Abortion (EMA) care up to 9 weeks and 6 days

At Milestones we’re on the lookout for a new Nurse Practitioner to join our nursing team in the mental health division, supporting the mental health and physical health needs of the people we support. Working across Mental Health Nursing services in Bristol, South Glos and Weston, you will be providing high levels of care for people who have severe and enduring mental health support needs and physical comorbidities. At times, there will be an expectation to work flexibly including weekends if the needs of the service require this.

Successful individuals will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of problem solving and working well under pressure. You will need to be creative, flexible and able to work on your own initiative. Nurses will need to have a range of skills to meet the needs of the people we support and full induction, training and supervision will be offered.

Working alongside our specialist nursing teams, successful candidates will support effective nursing care and interventions for the people we support.  

You will be supported by operational managers and the Clinical Nurse Advisor who will ensure you are giving the best head start in your new career in social care, through a structured induction process.

Nurse Practitioners will also support Student Nursing Associates and Student Nurses as part of their role, including providing clinical supervision and practice assessment. Due to the nature of the role, nurses will be expected to frequently travel across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire areas.

You also will be asked to support the wider training and learning for the Trust through co-producing and occasionally delivering training. Therefore, experience in delivering training is also desirable.

About the job role

We’re looking for motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking registered staff nurses to work within our two In-patient wards that have 12 beds each for patients. You’ll have experience of working in end-of-life care within an acute or palliative care setting. We will also consider newly qualified nurses who want to develop a career in palliative care. The successful candidates will be keen team players with good interpersonal and communication skills who enjoy working in a challenging environment whilst displaying a caring attitude at all times.

In this role, you will be:

● Collecting, processing, analysing and interpreting data from a variety of internal and external data systems.

● Using business intelligence tools to prepare and deliver reports, dashboards and data outputs to the organisation.

● Developing interactive visualisations to enable insight and track key performance indicators.

● Producing board packs for senior leadership and trustees in collaboration with the business.

● Producing reports for any regulatory, compliance or benchmarking purposes.

● Developing and maintaining data models to support efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval.

● Monitoring and auditing data quality, making recommendations for improvements where appropriate.

● Building and developing relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to fully understand data usage and content.

● Gathering, understanding and documenting detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.

● Collaborating with the Application Development Team to align data initiatives with systems development.

● Assisting the Data & Insight Manager with any data or IG governance tasks.

The successful candidate will act as a supporting consultant as well as data expert, working closely with the Data & Insight Manager to further establish the team as the go-to resource for all of the organisation’s data, information and insight needs.

About the role

This is a newly redesigned role created following a review of Robin Cancer Trust's support services. 

The Community & Support Lead will play a key role in ensuring that people affected by testicular and ovarian germ cell cancers can access compassionate support, trusted information, meaningful connections and opportunities to shape our future work. 

We particularly welcome applications from nurses and other healthcare professionals who may be looking for a career change, greater flexibility, or an opportunity to use their skills in a non-clinical setting. Whilst this is not a clinical position and does not involve providing medical advice, your understanding of the patient experience, treatment pathways and the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis would help us deliver high-quality, person-centred support to our community.

Job Purpose: 

The Community & Support Lead will act as the primary point of contact for Robin Cancer Trust's support services and community activity.

The role will lead the development and delivery of our support offer, including patient enquiries, community engagement, signposting, Thriver Packs, WhatsApp communities, lived experience involvement and service development. 

The role will work closely with the CEO, Head of Operations, Medical Advisory Board and Clinical Advisor to ensure our support services remain compassionate, effective, safe and impactful.

• Signpost individuals to relevant organisations, services and resources.

• Lead and develop the Thriver Community.
