Role Overview:

We are searching for someone with excellent leadership skills to join us at our service in West London as Floating Support Team Manager. You will oversee our service that is based in Brent, including Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Kensington and Chelsea.

You will support our clients (caseload of up to 64 clients) who have slept rough or are sleeping rough, who have been supported by partners into their own tenancies. The aim of the service is to support clients to sustain their tenancies and:

• • Develop and maintain the skills to live independently
  • Manage finances including access to benefits and debt advice
  • Access a range of services and community facilities to meet their needs, including health care, treatment, mental health support, advocacy, floating support, befriending and social and leisure activities
  • Build on their individual strengths and assets to achieve the outcomes that matter to them in their move to independence and improve health and wellbeing.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the services deliver excellent and continuously improving project performance in line with the contracts for floating support in Southwark and Wandsworth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the service meets its contractual requirements
• Ensure staff undertake all activities and monitor performance
• Work with the Area Director to manage the team and deliver the service.
• Deal with clients who need help or advice, either by phone or on a drop-in basis.
• Monitor all support being provided to the clients, and provide direction where appropriate.

The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. About the Role

We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

About You

The post holder will have at least three years’ experience of working with an internal communications context within an organisation and will have the ability to develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies that align with the organisation’s values.

You will be able to articulate messages clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, that are tailored to various internal audiences.  Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills for a range of communication channels are a must for this role.

You will also have strong organisational skills with the ability to lead projects, work collaboratively and be proficient in digital communication tools and platforms.

In the role of Waking Night Support Worker; individuals will ensure continues support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff with particular focus on safety of vulnerable young people.

About the Role:

Waking Night Support Worker will work in line with person centred risk assessments; support plans and liaise with Support Workers to provide comprehensive handover and partnership working. They will be observant of changes in behaviour and presentations ensuring appropriate actions are taken to document and report changes in support needs of young people. Waking Night Support Worker will be able to carry out all necessary health and safety actions including light cleaning tasks and environment management. Furthermore they will actively seek out ways to work with the team and stakeholders to improve the experience of young people in the service. Thames Reach runs projects and services that help to end homelessness in London. We work directly with homeless people on the streets and in hostels.  We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless.  We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track and help people find work and access training and volunteering opportunities.

About this role…

Every role at Thames Reach is about ensuring that the users of our services find and sustain a decent home, develop supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. On our structured Traineeship scheme, you’ll gain first-hand experience and on-the-job training in what we do. You’ll be expected to work full time on a rota basis. Our placements involve a range of working patterns such as shifts, including evenings and weekends, night work in our fast-paced Rapid Response Outreach team and Monday to Friday 9-5 roles.

The key features are:

• A thorough induction, followed by two six-month placements at our projects, one of which will be hostel-based.

• With supervision and training from experienced staff to help our clients to get off and stay off the street with access to appropriate services.

• Learning about and assisting with necessary administration and record-keeping.

The kind of thing we’re looking for:

• Compassion, determination and a desire to play your part in ending street homelessness.

• Good basic admin and IT skills.

• Good team working skills

• The resilience and commitment to work in a challenging, ever-changing environment.

• An understanding of street homelessness and its impact on people’s lives – applicants who have experienced homelessness are particularly encouraged to apply.

What we can offer

You will get training in Xero and CiviCRM software and the renewals and Gift Aid process, as well as support in the role. We can offer a lot of flexibility in days and hours, to fit around other work, studies or family commitments. About the Team:
The International Programmes Department is made up of four regions: West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, and South Asia; and three support teams: Programme Support and Knowledge team, the Programme Funding and Partnerships Team and the Programme Operations Team; the International Programmes Department delivers our work effectively across Africa and South Asia focusing on quality programming; accountability and effectiveness; research, learning and documentation.

About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to provide proactive and professional support to the Executive Director of International Programmes, with some general administrative support to the Programme Operations Director and the International Programmes Senior Management Team.

The role will be split 80/20 with a majority focus on executive support for the Executive Director, ensuring they are well organised and briefed and supported to maximise her capacity to lead WaterAid effectively. The minority focus will be on general administrative support to the Programme Operations Director and to the International Programmes Senior Management Team. The role will also be instrumental in running operations in the department, including supporting the organisation with key high profile programme events, line managing the administrator to ensure the department is working effectively and efficiently within itself and the wider organisation.

In this role, you'll:

A) Provide professional, timely and proactive support to the Executive Director of International Programmes, including:

• Diary and meeting support
• Support internal processes, communications and prioritisation Support internal communications with the directorate and wider organisation so these are timely, strategic and engaging;
• General administrative support

B) Operations for the department

• Oversee departmental operations to ensure compliance with wider WaterAid processes as well as championing, innovating, or streamlining the department's process and procedure.
• Maintain effective filing systems ensuring archive material is safe and can be retrieved in line with Data Protection Regulations.
• Organise and lead logistical planning for any departmental events that take place in either the UK or Country Programme locations, as necessary.
• Work as part of a wider team of PAs and Administrators across the organisation, ensuring mutual support and good communication between teams.

About You:

• Proven successful track record of being a Senior Administrator or Personal Assistant in a global organisation, including exceptional diary management;
• Effective time-management, organisation and prioritisation skills, including ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and to keep track of high volumes of information within a busy environment;
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to assimilate information quickly and produce accurate minutes, clear PowerPoint presentations and written briefings;
• Integrity and the ability to act with discretion and respect confidentiality.
• Digitally literate with excellent IT skills, particularly for setting up virtual meetings and effectively using Microsoft Office tools, with extensive experience of using PowerPoint and creating simple and compelling presentations;
• Numerical accuracy and experience of managing and processing invoices and expenses. Ability to co-ordinate / track project budget.
• Team player who is motivated by the desire to support others to be effective and efficient in their work, proactive, with confidence to take initiative and solve problems;
• Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally, if required, for the proper performance and delivery of the role;

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your role will include:

• Managing a mixed environment of Cisco and Aruba infrastructure
• Improving infrastructure services by working closely with the project delivery team to deliver a £26m IT refresh across our academies
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with departments and academies to ensure that the long-term strategic planning and delivery of core infrastructure services align with business requirements

Missing People exists to ease the heartache experienced by those missing someone, and to help people who are away from home find their way back to safety. Our vision is for every missing child, adult and family left behind to find help, hope and a safe way to reconnect. We are a non-judgemental, highly skilled team of staff and volunteers working for everyone who needs us. We provide free, confidential support, help and advice by phone, email, text and live chat. 

We coordinate a UK-wide network of people, businesses and media to join the search for the estimated 170,000 people who go missing each year. Missing People is an independent charity that relies on donations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Participation Manager will work with children, young people and adults who are or have been missing, including those who may have been exploited, and the families of people who are missing, in co-production of the charity’s work. They will lead the organisation’s participation work with those affected by missing, including families, children and young people, and adults to further embed our approach to voice, participation and engagement.

The main priorities of this role are to:   

• Embed a culture across the organisation that ensures people with lived experience are at the heart of everything we do

• Increase the organisation’s capacity to involve people with lived experience of missing by leading and supporting participation approaches and activities

• Lead the cross-organisational coordination of participation, ensuring that all teams are following good practice and are being consistent in their approaches to participation

• developing and implementing successful participation approaches to embed user-led and/or experience-led practice across an organisation
