We are looking for an experienced Debt Caseworker to join our team and help meet the growing demand for debt and income‑maximisation advice within our service. In this role, you will guide and empower clients to understand their options, while also taking direct action on behalf of those who are particularly vulnerable. This includes negotiating with creditors to prevent escalation and protect clients from further financial harm.

You will assess each client’s situation in depth, identifying the most appropriate strategies to resolve their debt issues while exploring every opportunity to maximise income. Through practical support and casework, you will take the necessary steps to halt creditor action, prepare accurate financial statements, make repayment offers, and apply strategies to reduce, write off and manage debt effectively. Alongside this, you will provide budgeting guidance to help clients regain control of their finances and build long‑term stability. Your ability to work confidently with third parties—including local authorities, bailiffs, landlords and lenders—will be essential in preventing enforcement action and resolving arrears.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to build something from the ground up.

As our first dedicated HR Manager, you will establish and shape our HR function, creating the processes, systems, and culture that will support our growth. You will be the go-to person for everything people-related: day-to-day ER casework, leading our digital HR transformation, onboarding new colleagues, and supporting the leadership team through change.

What You Will Do

Build and lead our HR function

• Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes that reflect our values and meet our legal obligations
• Be the first point of contact for all people matters across the organisation
• Work closely with the Head of Service Operations and leadership team to align our people approach with our growth plans

Own the employee lifecycle

• Manage end-to-end HR processes: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records and ensure we are compliant at every stage
• Lead on DBS checks, right-to-work verification, and pre-employment processes in line with CQC and safeguarding requirements

Drive our digital HR transformation

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of our new HRIS platform
• Help managers and staff get the most from new systems
• Use HR data and reporting to give the leadership team useful, timely insight

Support managers on performance and employee relations

• Be the expert advisor for managers navigating performance, conduct, absence, and well-being
• Ensure all disciplinary and grievance processes follow ACAS codes of practice, keeping things fair and reducing legal risk
• Coach and upskill managers so they can handle people matters with more confidence

Lead on organisational change

• Support or lead TUPE transfers and future organisational change programmes
• Help manage change in a way that is transparent, fair, and true to our values

Champion our culture and workforce development

• Support recruitment that prioritises values alongside skills and experience
• Work with managers to embed solid induction, supervision, and development practices
• Contribute to staff engagement and wellbeing work that reflects who we are

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• CIPD Level 5, qualified or actively working towards it
• Proven experience as an HR generalist covering the full employee lifecycle
• Sound working knowledge of employment law, including ACAS codes of practice
• Experience managing ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, and absence, independently and confidently
• Experience supporting or leading TUPE transfers and organisational change
• Experience implementing or managing an HRIS or HR software platform
• Able to work on your own initiative and manage competing priorities in a standalone role
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to build trust with people at all levels
• Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion

Desirable

• Experience in adult social care, supported living, or a regulated care environment

FoCUS enables people to have their say and influence the mental health services they receive within Surrey and Northeast Hampshire.

FoCUS was set up by SABP to:

· Place people at the heart of the delivery and design of mental health services

· Set standards for how they involve people

· Measure how well they involve people

· Measure how well they deliver services

This role is intended to facilitate and coordinate involvement in FoCUS by promoting the network and encouraging people who use the Trust’s services and carers to join and participate in user involvement activities, and raise themes heard from member experiences to the Trust for discussion.

Main Responsibilities

Promotion of FoCUS

· Encourage and enable people with experience of mental health services and carers to join FoCUS and to influence SABP’s services.

· Increase awareness of the benefits of user involvement and representation in building people’s confidence, sense of worth and self-esteem and in helping people to achieve greater social inclusion.

· Promote FoCUS to people who use SABP’s services and carers, across Surrey and Northeast Hampshire. Using a variety of communication and engagement methods including attending relevant outreach and community events with an exhibition stand or promotional materials.

· Increase the number of service users and carers joining as FoCUS members.

· Develop and maintain personal contacts within SABP’s services in Surrey and Northeast Hampshire to promote FoCUS to their clients, and encourage key staff to attend Community Group meetings.

· Liaise with other services including Community Mental Health Recovery Services, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and other public services and voluntary sector providers to promote FoCUS and encourage them to promote FoCUS membership to their clients.

Management of the Network

· Contact new FoCUS members to ensure their support and access needs are met and to encourage them to attend their local Community Group meetings.

· Work with LF Solutions to maintain and manage network enquiries, new members, meeting planning and delivery of the activities of the forum.

· Act as main contact for service users, carers and professionals for the FoCUS network. Manage inbox and all enquiries.

· Chair the meetings of the forum to ensure the smooth running of meetings and enable everyone to contribute in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

· Encourage members to attend FoCUS meetings and drop in’s to share recent service experiences.

· Produce a quarterly mental health Newsletter to promote outcomes achieved, manage the social media accounts for FoCUS.

Reporting

· Maintain accurate records. Keeping confidential member information up to date, undertaking data cleanses, recording meeting attendance and topics of discussion. Track activity and outcomes data for reporting purposes.

· Provide a quarterly report on activities and membership to SABP.

Development of volunteer FoCUS Representatives

· Encourage FoCUS members to put themselves forward to become a volunteer FoCUS Representative, explaining the nature and commitment of the role.

· Work with FoCUS Representatives on plans for engagement in their Areas and to agree their individual level of involvement in promoting FoCUS. Help them prepare their respective contributions to their Community Group meetings.

· Organise and attend a quarterly meeting of the FoCUS Representatives to prepare contributions to FoCUS Committee meetings, and provide support as required.

· Identify any training needs of FoCUS members and Representatives, to empower them to fulfil their potential and build personal skills and confidence to have their say.

General Duties

· Encourage existing and new FoCUS members to also join Surrey Coalition of Disabled People and the Independent Mental Health Network, offering opportunities for involvement in other issues affecting their lives.

· At all times, to work within Surrey Coalition’s policies. Including equal opportunities and health and safety, safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.

· To work as a member of the team promoting FoCUS, including FoCUS Representatives and staff of Surrey Coalition and LF Solutions.

· Work flexibly to meet the responsibilities of the role and be responsive to any feedback.

It is essential that you have:

About the role

We are looking for a confident and ambitious Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising across Yorkshire during a period of maternity cover. Based at our Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, you will help grow sustainable income for Henshaws by building strong relationships with corporate partners, supporters, volunteers, patrons, ambassadors and local communities.

What you will be doing

You will:

• Lead, develop and manage fundraising activity across Yorkshire.

About you

We are looking for someone who is proactive, relationship focused and motivated by making a difference.

You will have experience in fundraising, income generation, corporate partnerships, business development or another relevant relationship based role. You will be confident building relationships, making asks, developing proposals and converting opportunities into income.

You will be organised, target driven and comfortable managing budgets, KPIs, pipelines and competing priorities. You will also understand the importance of ethical fundraising, good stewardship and relevant charity fundraising practice.

Experience of working with senior or high profile volunteers, such as patrons or trustees, would be valuable. A CIOF Diploma in Fundraising Management, CIOF membership or equivalent professional experience would be beneficial, but we welcome applications from candidates with strong transferable experience.

About the role

We are looking for a confident and proactive Strategic Partnerships Manager to help grow sustainable income and strengthen Henshaws Sight Loss Services across Greater Manchester.

This is a key role for someone who can spot opportunities, build influential relationships and turn conversations into contracts, partnerships and income. You will work across public sector commissioning, corporate partnerships, VCSE networks, community organisations and wider Greater Manchester systems to help position Henshaws as a trusted partner in sight loss support.

You will identify and pursue opportunities with NHS, Local Authority, ICS and ICB partners, public health, social care, SEND and sight loss pathways. You will also grow corporate income through proactive prospecting, sponsorship approaches, employer engagement and partnership development.

Working closely with our Sight Loss operational teams, you will help shape service models, proposals, bids and tenders that reflect local need and clearly demonstrate the impact of Henshaws work.

What you will be doing

You will:

• Identify and develop commissioning, contract and funding opportunities across Greater Manchester.
• Build relationships with NHS, Local Authority, public health, social care, VCSE, corporate and community partners.
• Lead activity across the commissioning cycle, including horizon scanning, relationship building, tender development, pricing input and mobilisation support.
• Work with Sight Loss operational teams to shape service models, delivery plans, outcome frameworks and costed proposals.
• Develop compelling corporate proposals and pitches that clearly show social value, impact and return on investment.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline of prospects, tracking activity from first contact through to secured income.
• Represent Henshaws at Greater Manchester meetings, locality groups, VCSE alliances, prevention networks and sight loss sector forums.
• Support collaborative or joint bid opportunities where partnership working strengthens Henshaws position.
• Contribute to wider fundraising activity, including events, supporter stewardship and departmental initiatives.

About you

• We are looking for someone who is opportunity focused, resilient and confident building relationships with senior decision makers.
• You will have experience in business development, sales, income generation or strategic partnerships within a target driven environment. You will understand the sales cycle, from prospecting and first contact through to scoping, pitching, negotiation and relationship management.
• You will be confident preparing bids, tenders or commercial proposals, and able to translate service knowledge, financial information and policy priorities into strong, persuasive proposals.
• You will be highly organised, comfortable managing a structured pipeline, and able to balance competing priorities while maintaining momentum.
• Experience within a charity, VCSE, health or education setting would be valuable. • Be the main point of contact for all finance and operational queries

  Role Purpose 
 
The Home from Hospital project in Newcastle is funded by the Northeast and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board. Preventing readmissions to hospital is crucial for the NHS. Re-admissions cost the NHS over £2 billion per year, and no-one wants to be in hospital when they can be recovering safely and comfortably at home. The project was developed to help enable older people to thrive back at home, and in the community, while at the same time supporting the NHS.
 
We recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers, who provide a “little bit of help” to people who may be socially isolated, have health issues, or don’t have many people around them. Volunteers provide social, emotional or practical support, completing short-term tasks. This includes things like helping with shopping, collecting medical prescriptions, in person or telephone check in’s, driving someone to an appointment, helping with paperwork, ensuring the home is safe and secure, and more.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Engagement Manager to join our team in Newcastle.The right candidate would be someone with excellent knowledge of “best practice” in Volunteer Management and with experience of supporting older people.
