Project Manager (Cascade Wellbeing Project)

Part Time – 21 hours (3 days) per week

Salary £24,000 (£40,000 FTE)

We are seeking a Project Manager to deliver the Cascade Project – a partnership between the St Benedict’s Centre and the Diocese of Rochester. The project aims to develop a programme of initiatives and interventions to support frontline church leaders (lay and ordained, including Headteachers of church schools) with their wellbeing.

The project has been under development for the past year. The Project Manager will lead the project from development to implementation. Funding has been committed by the Church Commissioners for the first 4 years of the implementation period.

The Project Manager will provide overall leadership for the Cascade project, taking responsibility for setting culture and strategy and vision, developing strong and successful relationships with key external partners, delivering an imaginative programme (in person and online) to support the wellbeing of lay and ordained church leaders (including Headteachers of Church Schools) in the Diocese of Rochester and beyond, and ensuring that there are sufficient resources available for Cascade to flourish.

Candidates should have experience of leadership in a church setting with project management experience.  You should have an understanding of wellbeing issues for frontline workers and knowledge of a variety of therapeutic processes and other interventions.  You will have excellent organisational and communications skills.

Job Summary

Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an ambitious inclusion and accessibility project focused on improving access to the UK’s National Trails for underrepresented communities.

Position: Project Manager
Fee / salary: Up to £30,000 for the full project (equivalent to approximately £350 per day)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a major research and development programme focused on accessibility, inclusion and community engagement within the heritage and outdoor sectors.

This role will lead the coordination and delivery of a multi-partner project exploring how information, communications and engagement approaches can be made more inclusive for disabled people and people from minoritised ethnic communities.

Working with a wide range of stakeholders including community organisations, evaluators, researchers and site-based teams, you will play a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of pilot projects, research activity and future recommendations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading end-to-end project management across the full programme lifecycle
• Developing and maintaining project plans, risk registers and reporting processes
• Coordinating external contractors, evaluators and delivery partners
• Supporting governance processes including advisory panel meetings and reporting
• Overseeing pilot project delivery across multiple locations
• Monitoring budgets, timelines and project risks
• Ensuring accessibility, inclusion and co-design principles are embedded throughout

About You

We are looking for a highly organised and collaborative Project Manager with experience delivering complex partnership projects within areas such as heritage, inclusion, public engagement, research or community development.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects
• Strong planning, coordination and reporting skills
• Experience working with disabled people and/or minoritised ethnic communities
• Knowledge of co-design or lived-experience-led approaches
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and external partners
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Confidence producing clear written reports and presentations
• Willingness to travel across England and Wales when required

Experience within heritage, countryside access, outdoor inclusion or publicly funded programmes would be advantageous.

In this important role you’ll work with the Project Manager to support the implementation of Samaritans’ Future Proofing project plan within your region. You’ll provide regular updates on activity and progress, highlighting risks and issues when needed.

Communication is key to success in this role. You will work closely with volunteers, staff and other stakeholders to successfully deliver the project. You’ll act as a key contact for branches in your region to coordinate their involvement and activity, and work with our internal and external communications teams to support with project updates.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our friendly team on a funded, part-time contract (30 hours per week). The role is home‑based in Central England with regular UK travel.

This is a varied and impactful role. In the early stages of the programme, you will work hands-on with schools and communities, delivering elements of the project including climate audits and supporting grant holders. As the programme develops, you will increasingly lead the coordination and management of a national, multi‑year climate and school grounds programme.

About the role

The Therapeutic Services Project Manager will lead on performance monitoring and reporting to funders ensuring robust data governance, GDPR compliance and to inform service delivery, development, survivor engagement and organisational performance. This role is critical to embedding a culture of data-driven decisionmaking, using performance monitoring to support high-quality service delivery in line with sector standards and quality assurance frameworks. The role will provide leadership on project implementation and delivery alongside the Head of Therapeutic Services.

This role will be responsible for performance monitoring and reporting across Woman’s Trust, so that staff can use our internal service data to inform their ongoing work and decision-making.

The Therapeutic Services Project Manager will take ownership of concisely communicating our performance data to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure targets and contractual obligations are being met. The role will deliver on Woman’s Trust’s strategic priorities with regards to service contracts, data, monitoring and evaluation. You will not only mentor and develop capacity within your own team but act as a data advocate, enhancing the relationship between the front-line workers Woman’s Trust’s work and the staff managing the contractual obligations.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE).

Contract: Permanent.
