We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Oxford Street Outreach Service in a Rough Sleeper Navigator role, across housing, immigration, women’s support, health, and substance misuse issues with some of Oxfords most vulnerable individuals.

The team provide through-care casework to socially excluded individuals who are sleeping rough or living in various temporary accommodation settings. The team works with clients who have complex needs requiring specialist support to remain away from the streets and sustain secure accommodation, avoiding a return to homelessness. In the role of Navigator, you will:

• Work proactively to make contact with clients to assess their needs who are at immediate risk of homelessness.
• Provide a client centred approach, offering support and advice to access suitable support including health care for physical and/or mental health conditions, specialised advice, and work and training opportunities.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Local Authorities, other homeless services and housing providers, in UK and Europe.
• Provide line management, support and supervision to staff.
• In this role you will work across different locations to ensure support is provided to clients where it is needed, such as team offices, on the streets, local Day Centres or Housing Options.

About you

We are looking for people with excellent communication skills and some experience of engaging marginalised or vulnerable people. If you have a genuine interest in supporting and empowering individuals to make positive changes and the ability to work with a person-centred approach we encourage you to apply.

• You will have a good knowledge of housing legislation and welfare benefits, and understand the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
• You will have the ability to network and develop positive relationships with a variety of people including local partner agencies, and regular contact with clients.
• Demonstrate good planning and organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to provide motivation and line management to a small staff team.
• Due to the needs of our services, the post holder may be required to work a shift rota, so flexibility is required. This may include some weekends and bank holidays.

The Role;

The Trusts Fundraising Manager plays a key role in securing voluntary income for Kisharon Langdon by leading the development and delivery of a strategic trusts and foundations programme, with responsibility for achieving significant income targets and supporting the organisation’s long-term growth. The role involves proactively shaping and managing a high-value funding pipeline, using insight, planning, and data to drive sustainable income and maximise opportunities across the portfolio.

The post-holder will take ownership of relationships with a portfolio of funders, developing tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies aligned to funder priorities, while also identifying and securing new funding opportunities. They will bring a strong, proactive approach to prospecting and pipeline development, ensuring a balanced mix of short- and long-term funding.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Trusts Fundraising Manager will lead on the development of compelling, high-quality funding applications and reports, drawing on strong impact evidence and strategic narratives, while supporting continuous improvement in success rates and income growth. They will work closely with and provide informal support to the Trust Fundraiser

Key Responsibilities;

 

• Develop and deliver a clear trusts and foundations strategy to maximise income and support organisational growth.
• Build, manage and continuously strengthen a high-value funding pipeline, balancing short-term income and long-term opportunities.
• Manage a portfolio of trusts and foundations, leading on cultivation, solicitation and stewardship to secure significant grants and meet agreed income targets.
• Prepare and submit high-quality, compelling funding applications and reports, tailored to funder priorities and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders, developing appropriate cultivation and stewardship plans.
• Act as a key ambassador for the organisation, including attending meetings, events and funder visits where required.
• Work closely with colleagues across services and departments to gather compelling evidence, data and case studies.

 

About You; 

 

• Minimum 2 years proven successful experience in applications to charitable trusts and foundations.
• An ability to write engaging and persuasive funding applications and proposals to the highest standard.
• Strong IT skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
• Excellent communication skills both in written work and verbal communication.
• Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Able to record and monitor income performance and report accurately to others.

• Researching and gathering data and evidence to inform funding proposals and to report on impact and outcomes.

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced and motivated HIV Peer Support Advice Worker to provide onsite social welfare advice and support to people living with HIV across South London hospital HIV services. About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized organisation and Top 20 Charity is looking to appoint a Neonatal Support Worker (35 hours, 5 days per week) as part of a developing programme delivering high quality wrap-around care and support to families with a baby receiving treatment on the Neonatal Intensive Care units within the London & South East region, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team supporting the families.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the London & South East Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

What we’re looking for:

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a special care baby unit/community environment and those with a recognised qualification in health or social care.

· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines

· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident user of IT (including MSOffice)

· A persuasive and open communicator - you will work collaboratively with your team and volunteers to ensure delivery of a high-quality service and support fundraising colleagues by writing case studies and family updates
