About the Role  

In this role, you will support our Head of ECF Faculty and Heads of Programme to coordinate the ECF programme alongside programme managers in each region, who are responsible for the proactive and effective planning, execution and administration of all programmes, including the ECF within their regions.

This is an exciting opportunity to initially support the planning and delivery of the ECF programme across all campuses whilst we grow and adapt, and to work in close collaboration with colleagues nationally to ensure the provision is of high quality.

This role would suit an individual that is keen to develop their programme and events/project management skills, as well as someone that enjoys regular contact and dialogue with our trainees, programme members, partners, tutors and facilitators.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• To manage workflow and communications across the regional ECF teams.
• To coordinate and administer our ECF programme across regions.
• To be a key point of contact for our programme partners and participants to support them with responses around programme logistics.
• To draft and post ECF programme updates on the Learning Management System (LMS).
• To liaise with partners about visits, quality assurance and feedback.
• To gather, collate and analyse feedback from programme sessions to inform design and delivery in the future through effective communication with faculty team.
• To help prepare key events for the ECF programme, such as National Webinars, including the drafting of guidance, communications and registration.
• To support during key events across the faculty including online webinars and partner briefings.
• To support the Head of ECF and Regional Heads of Programme with other administrative efforts around the ECF programme. This might include helping to organise key meetings with our Associate Colleges, administrative tasks related to the ECF or hands-on support with marketing, recruitment and quality assurance.
• To coordinate team meetings and activities throughout the year.
• To sit on the viva assessment panels for a maximum of three days per year to support the process.
• To provide support at the annual graduation event which is on a Saturday and notice will be provided.

Working at the National Institute of Teaching

• Contract: Full Time; Temporary to 31 August 2027.
• Salary: £31,537 per annum plus benefits (plus London weighting if applicable).
• This role is advertised to cover an internal secondment. It is offered on a temporary position, with the potential to become permanent subject to future organisational needs.
• The role is hybrid with the need to be on site at least once a fortnight.
• This post involves occasional travel and overnight stays, which will be paid/reimbursed by the NIoT.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to build something from the ground up.

As our first dedicated HR Manager, you will establish and shape our HR function, creating the processes, systems, and culture that will support our growth. You will be the go-to person for everything people-related: day-to-day ER casework, leading our digital HR transformation, onboarding new colleagues, and supporting the leadership team through change.

It is a hands-on, varied role. You will need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves one moment and advising senior leaders the next. You will be given the space, trust, and support to make this role your own.

What You Will Do

Build and lead our HR function

• Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes that reflect our values and meet our legal obligations
• Be the first point of contact for all people matters across the organisation
• Work closely with the Head of Service Operations and leadership team to align our people approach with our growth plans

Own the employee lifecycle

• Manage end-to-end HR processes: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records and ensure we are compliant at every stage
• Lead on DBS checks, right-to-work verification, and pre-employment processes in line with CQC and safeguarding requirements

Drive our digital HR transformation

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of our new HRIS platform
• Help managers and staff get the most from new systems
• Use HR data and reporting to give the leadership team useful, timely insight

Support managers on performance and employee relations

• Be the expert advisor for managers navigating performance, conduct, absence, and well-being
• Ensure all disciplinary and grievance processes follow ACAS codes of practice, keeping things fair and reducing legal risk
• Coach and upskill managers so they can handle people matters with more confidence

Lead on organisational change

• Support or lead TUPE transfers and future organisational change programmes
• Help manage change in a way that is transparent, fair, and true to our values

Champion our culture and workforce development

• Support recruitment that prioritises values alongside skills and experience
• Work with managers to embed solid induction, supervision, and development practices
• Contribute to staff engagement and wellbeing work that reflects who we are

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• CIPD Level 5, qualified or actively working towards it
• Proven experience as an HR generalist covering the full employee lifecycle
• Sound working knowledge of employment law, including ACAS codes of practice
• Experience managing ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, and absence, independently and confidently
• Experience supporting or leading TUPE transfers and organisational change
• Experience implementing or managing an HRIS or HR software platform
• Able to work on your own initiative and manage competing priorities in a standalone role
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to build trust with people at all levels
• Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion

Desirable

• Experience in adult social care, supported living, or a regulated care environment
• Knowledge of CQC workforce requirements

About the Role

The Medical Sciences Development team works collaboratively with colleagues across the Division and the wider Development and Alumni Engagement team to secure philanthropic support for research priorities across Oxford’s medical sciences community.

As Development Executive, you will manage a portfolio of more than 100 major gift prospects and develop meaningful relationships with donors, academics, and colleagues across the University. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors capable of supporting research projects through gifts typically ranging from £100,000 to £500,000 over time.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile fundraising initiatives that support world-leading medical research. You will also work closely with the Head of Development - Medical Sciences to help deliver fundraising priorities across a diverse and impactful portfolio.

About the role

We are looking for a confident and proactive Strategic Partnerships Manager to help grow sustainable income and strengthen Henshaws Sight Loss Services across Greater Manchester.

This is a key role for someone who can spot opportunities, build influential relationships and turn conversations into contracts, partnerships and income. You will work across public sector commissioning, corporate partnerships, VCSE networks, community organisations and wider Greater Manchester systems to help position Henshaws as a trusted partner in sight loss support.

You will identify and pursue opportunities with NHS, Local Authority, ICS and ICB partners, public health, social care, SEND and sight loss pathways. You will also grow corporate income through proactive prospecting, sponsorship approaches, employer engagement and partnership development.

Working closely with our Sight Loss operational teams, you will help shape service models, proposals, bids and tenders that reflect local need and clearly demonstrate the impact of Henshaws work.

What you will be doing

You will:

• Identify and develop commissioning, contract and funding opportunities across Greater Manchester.
• Build relationships with NHS, Local Authority, public health, social care, VCSE, corporate and community partners.
• Lead activity across the commissioning cycle, including horizon scanning, relationship building, tender development, pricing input and mobilisation support.
• Work with Sight Loss operational teams to shape service models, delivery plans, outcome frameworks and costed proposals.

About you

• You will have experience in business development, sales, income generation or strategic partnerships within a target driven environment. You will understand the sales cycle, from prospecting and first contact through to scoping, pitching, negotiation and relationship management.

IN A NUTSHELL:

This is a pivotal role at the intersection of finance and operations, helping to ensure the smooth and effective running of key organisational functions. The Finance and Operations Lead will play an integral role in overseeing the charity’s financial operations, supporting grant reporting and wider business development initiatives, and driving operational efficiency across the organisation.

Collaborating closely with the senior and wider teams, the Finance and Operations Lead will play a key role in financial management, and operational effectiveness, contributing directly to the success of our initiatives.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:

• Be the main point of contact for all finance and operational queries

• Manage the organisation’s core financial operations, including monthly Management Accounts, project finances, VAT returns and financial reporting, while working closely with external bookkeepers to ensure effective financial management and compliance, while working closely with the COO on financial oversight and planning

• Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting, Mid Year Forecasting and audit processes, preparing financial information, liaising with budget holders and external accountants, and ensuring timelines, reporting requirements and supporting documentation are delivered accurately and on time, while working closely with the COO on final review and strategic adjustments

• Support the Head of People and Development with the delivery and implementation of the internal People Strategy (specifically focusing on refining recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as providing support with grant reporting and budgeting requirements for funders)

We are looking to recruit a Senior Welfare Rights and Housing Advisor to join Camden Disability Action’s Advice Service.

You will have at least two years’ experience providing specialist-level welfare rights advice and experience of providing housing casework. The role involves identifying opportunities for income maximisation, supporting clients to ensure benefits are correctly assessed, and assisting with mandatory reconsiderations and appeals. You will also support Disabled people with housing-related issues, including homelessness prevention and access to suitable accommodation.

You will work holistically, managing complex cases and advocating for clients across statutory services, specialist advice agencies, and community organisations. The role provides social welfare rights advice, advocacy, and casework support within CDA’s remit and does not involve the provision of regulated legal services.

You will be committed to developing your understanding of the Social Model of Disability and share our vision for a radically inclusive world where people are not disabled by the society in which they live.

We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting our clients on the front line with equal passion to use themes and patterns from casework to affect wider systems change.
