Our partnerships with external organisations provide vital funding, awareness, and pro bono support to enable us to achieve our mission. Smart Works Reading are looking for an ambitious Corporate Fundraising Lead to develop new corporate partnerships and generate sustainable income to support our mission.

The Corporate Partnerships Lead will work in in close collaboration with Smart Works Group Partnerships Team, the Smart Works Reading Service Delivery Manager and Reading Board of Trustees. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate income generation for the charity, with a clear focus on meeting agreed income targets through the generation of unrestricted income.

The successful candidate will design and implement the centre’s corporate partnerships income generation strategy, concentrating on building a robust and diverse new business pipeline and cultivating relationships with organisations across Berkshire. The role involves identifying, approaching and converting new corporate prospects into engaged funding partners, securing sustainable unrestricted income that supports the centre’s ongoing work and enables Smart Works to reach more women.

A collaborative working style and an ability to engage confidently with a wide variety of stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

Smart Works Reading is part of Smart Works Charity, and this role will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and the wider Group Partnerships team, who are London based. Therefore, there will be regular travel to London required to support induction, meetings, events, and ongoing collaboration.

You will be one of the key points of contact for World Physiotherapy membership. The position is instrumental in assisting the smooth running of World Physiotherapy membership services and supporting the work of the membership manager, the regional executive committees, member organisations, and other staff across the full range of functions.

You will use your experience, initiative, confidence, project and organisational skills to provide business support across the organisation and its activities. These include the membership function requirements of the organisation, project support, operational logistics, member services and education activities. This will require liaising with staff, member organisations, board/committee members, and external stakeholders.

Duties and key responsibilities

Operational support

1. Liaising with member organisations, regions, specialty groups and networks as required by the membership manager and other staff.
2. Technical and logistical support across all operations for any meetings and webinars.
3. Work with relevant staff to ensure that activities are set up on Teamwork® (project management software) and support their ongoing management.
4. Ensure the CRM (Salesforce) is updated with relevant organisational and individual contacts and interactions.
5. Management of membership queries

Administrative support to the membership manager, regional executive committees and specialty groups, and those representing World Physiotherapy on defined activities or events

1. Scheduling of all regional executive committee meetings and supporting other meetings and webinars both via teleconference and face-to-face.
2. Drafting forms and surveys using Microsoft Forms and SurveyMonkey
3. Other project areas: work with the membership manager to carry out activity analysis
4. Provide day-to-day administrative support for World Physiotherapy’s membership activities and services.
5. Assess ways to improve project management and outcomes.
6. Provide general project support and carry out any other tasks requested by the manager.

Person specification

The membership support officer must have experience in project support and organisational administration. They must be highly organised, self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in managing complex and competing demands from different sources.

It is expected that the individual will ideally have a good first degree, or relevant experience gained across a range of comparable settings, preferably with additional experience or qualifications in project management and/or business administration. Experience of working with senior staff and committees is essential.

The individual must have a legal right to work in the UK.

This role delivers a range of dynamic and engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. As part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our trainers are passionate about working with our participants. They are the front line of our work, representing Money Ready’s exceptional programme quality across a variety of settings.

The role involves working with both children and adults across our suite of programmes and requires significant travel to our delivery locations throughout the area to deliver face-to-face sessions to diverse groups of learners. There will also be occasional requirements to deliver virtual sessions.

You will provide high quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns, within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency setting. 

Our service delivery aims to promote outcome focussed interventions, safe care, function and participation of children and young people accessing home, school, and community life. You will support children and young people with communication needs, speech, and language difficulties, eating and drinking and tracheostomy care at a highly specialist level, working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Role Requirements

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality, evidence based and equitable speech and language therapy interventions for children and young people attending The Children’s Trust.
• Lead the provision of high quality, evidence based speech and language therapy provision for children and young people attending The Children’s Trust School in partnership with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team and Education services.
• Support the Multidisciplinary Team regarding the impact of tracheostomies, on speaking and swallowing following assessment of laryngeal integrity, secretion management and swallow.
• Undertake specialist speech and language therapy assessments of children with highly complex needs e.g. multiple co-morbidities, neurodisabilities and chronic conditions, through standardised and non-standardised assessments and clinical observations.
• Devise suitable, individual, speech and language therapy plan that fit within the child’s daily routine, whether to be carried out by parents or members of the Multidisciplinary team; these
• Be an autonomous practitioner with responsibility for assessment, treatment, and planning for an allocated caseload of children/young people.
• Be a key point of support and advice for the speech and language therapy team and Multidisciplinary team.
• Work closely with all members of the Multidisciplinary team, as well as the child and family, to provide a fully integrated approach to the overall management of the child. This will include any home/school visits, professional child related meetings and / or appointments, as required.
• Liaise with all appropriate medical staff, whether employed by The Children’s Trust, visiting consultants or at off-site clinics, and attend clinics with the child as required.
• Contribute to the assessment and discussion of new referrals to The Children’s Trust, carrying out off site referral assessments around the United Kingdom, as required.
• Contribute to child related reports, including looked after children and annual review reports as required, and assist with the collation of these as and when required, in a timely manner and in line with organisational targets.
• Utilise patient reported and standardised outcome measures for each allocated child/young person and complete in a timely manner.
• Assess, evaluate, and recommend discharge/transition plans for children/young people within the multidisciplinary team framework.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Undertake, or review, independent examinations of charity ‘Receipts & Payments’ accounts.
• Provide fee quotes to clients and monitor job costs against this budget. Provide explanations for variances from budgeted fees and negotiate additional fees if required.
• Review the information we receive to identify any significant financial and regulatory issues that need to be brought to attention of our client charities.

We are looking for an Executive Director to lead GFI Europe’s strategy and team, play a key role in shaping and advancing GFI’s global strategy, and foster the relationships and organisational strength needed to accelerate the shift towards a resilient and sustainable food system.

• Flexible approach to work. We estimate that travel will account for approximately six weeks of the year. This will likely consist of two GFI Europe team-wide retreats (3-5 days each), one leadership retreat (2-3 days), other sporadic trips generally lasting 1-3 days, and occasional longer trips of approximately 5-7 days (for conferences and donor or partner meetings across Europe and internationally). In addition, you will need occasional flexibility in your working hours to accommodate coordination with other affiliates around the world.

• Integrity. You do what you say you’ll do, and are discreet when handling confidential information.

It would be an advantage to have the following, though none are prerequisites:

• Sector familiarity. Familiarity with or experience working in the food system, alternative proteins or an adjacent sector in Europe.

• Impact leadership. Strong knowledge and/or experience of being part of the leadership team of a nonprofit, think tank or other social impact-focused organisation.

• Governance and compliance experience. Experience with legal representation and board reporting, and/or experience working on nonprofit compliance, especially in Belgium.

• Fundraising partnership experience. You’ve contributed to fundraising in a supportive capacity – whether managing a fundraising function, advising on donor and prospect strategy, joining donor conversations alongside a development team, or shaping fundraising strategy at an executive level.

• Network experience. Experience working in one or more network models (eg, affiliate or franchise-style, federation, confederation, etc).

• Languages. The ability to work in European languages in addition to English.

The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of the financial accounting functions of the organisation, for the preparation of statutory accounts, regular management reports, the preparation of all tax returns, supporting budget holders and assisting them fulfil their responsibilities, and for compliance with statutory requirements including compliance with tax laws and regulations.

You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Refuge as a Helpline Advocacy Co-ordinator.

The Helpline Advocacy Co-ordinator – London (HAC) provides short-term, targeted advocacy to victim/survivors of domestic abuse based in London, who present with complex or additional barriers to accessing safe accommodation and support services.

The role builds on initial helpline contact to deliver enhanced, focused support, including proactive follow-up and advocacy with statutory and voluntary agencies to secure safe outcomes. This includes working closely with housing departments across London boroughs, refuge providers, and specialist services to overcome barriers and facilitate access to accommodation and support.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

Each year, thousands of greyhounds across the UK rely on the generosity of supporters of the Greyhound Trust to find safe, loving homes. With an annual income of around £4.5 million, individual giving and gifts in Wills is central to our income generation strategy and this role will help to grow and nurture it.

This role is perfect for an ambitious fundraiser looking to take your next step in the animal welfare sector. From leading on donor communications and appeals through to managing our legacy pipeline, you will support the Head of Income Generation and Engagement to shape the income generation strategy.

You will take the lead in developing, testing, learning and growing the direct marketing programme and developing supporter journeys both online and offline. You’ll develop our email marketing and online supporter journeys for now and the future.

This is a broad, varied role, and we don’t expect you to arrive as an expert in everything. Whether your background is in individual giving, community fundraising, legacies, digital or data, if you are a confident communicator and comfortable managing relationships with compassion and determination, this is the role for you.

Key responsibilities:

1. Work with the Head of Income Generation and Engagement to develop the individual giving strategy and contribute to annual planning, budgeting and KPIs.
2. Create a sustainable individual giving programme, increasing the supporter base across all channels and developing strategies to engage and motivate supporters.
3. Plan and deliver engaging multi-channel fundraising campaigns and appeals.
4. Provide advice and support to branches for one-off lottery or other individual giving initiatives; ensuring compliance with our gambling commission licence nationally and through branches.
5. Review and develop the charity’s programme of appeals, regular giving and sponsorship products, lottery and donor development programmes.
6. Maximise digital fundraising opportunities whilst recognising the contribution of non-digital approaches for certain audiences and product types.
7. Develop our email marketing and online supporter journeys.
8. Review and develop opportunities for legacy giving and in-memory fundraising.
9. Analyse income and expenditure monthly, using a set of KPIs to report on progress and forecast future results.
10. Design and implement a stewardship programme with particular attention to supporter journeys for new and existing supporters that increase average values and long-term support.
11. Ensure compliance of the individual giving programme, escalating risks to the Head of Income Generation and Engagement.
12. Ensure data collection, management, use, storage and destruction comply with data protection law and best practice.
13. Engage with staff and volunteers on the importance of fundraising from individuals and how their individual roles can enhance fundraising opportunities.
14. Work closely with other members of staff to ensure individual giving products and initiatives are integrated with other areas of the charity, such as brand and marketing programmes, retail development and homing campaigns.

Essential skills and experience:

• Experience of working in an individual giving, direct marketing, community, or general fundraising role.
• Experience of delivering income growth and establishing new programmes of activity.
• Ability to manage and monitor external suppliers and agencies (copywriters, designers, mailing houses, platform developers, etc.) to maximise outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience of donor development, journeys and stewardship.
• Proficient written and verbal communicator with the ability to adapt tone to engage and inspire different audiences and write compelling fundraising copy.
• Excellent stewardship skills with the ability to communicate with supporters via letter, email, telephone and face to face with care and compassion.
• Able to plan and prioritise independently across several income streams.
• Track record of writing clear, engaging supporter communications (appeals, newsletters, thank you journeys).
• Confident using data to select, segment, or report on supporter groups.
• Experience managing ongoing relationships with individuals (donors, supporters or clients).
• Understanding of legacy marketing.
• Proficiency in using a CRM to manage donor relationships and supporter journeys.
• Working knowledge of charity law, GDPR and the Fundraising Code of Practice.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn new areas of fundraising.

Desirable experience and qualifications:

• Relevant fundraising or marketing qualification (e.g. Institute of Fundraising / CIOF certificate, CIM), or evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience of legacy marketing, legacy administration, or legacy pipeline management.
• Experience of writing legacy-specific communications (in-memory, will-writing campaigns, pledger updates).
• Experience of developing and evaluating acquisition or retention campaigns and activity across a variety of offline and digital channels.
• Experience of building or improving email marketing programmes or automated supporter journeys.
• Experience of working with fundraising databases (e.g. Raiser's Edge, Donorfy, Beacon) and GDPR-compliant data handling.
• Experience of liaising with solicitors, executors, or handling sensitive/bereavement-related conversations.
• Experience of managing a pipeline or CRM-tracked process from enquiry through to completion.
• Have empathy and enthusiasm for the mission of the Greyhound Trust.

Primary Objectives of the Post:

The role of the Income Generation Support Officer involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at increasing the organisation's income from various sources.

Purpose of the Job:

We are recruiting for a temporary Learning Programme Officer for a high-profile social welfare charity, you will be helping to develop, deliver and evaluate a range of educational content, resources and events for the Teaching Learning Programme, which seeks to educate and engage young people (up to the age of 18) across the UK.

About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.
