What you’ll be doing

• Lead and support a team of support workers to deliver high quality support sessions, supporting individuals with multiple disadvantage who are facing homelessness.
• Manage and administer an effective high-performance culture through regular 1:1s, objective setting and appraisals, providing additional support where necessary to overcome challenges and barriers.
• Support your team to seek out opportunities for knowledge development and skill improvement, reviewing its relevance against organisational policies and budgets.
• Fulfil all mandatory line management responsibilities (e.g. annual leave and sickness management), providing strong leadership throughout the entire employee life cycle in accordance with the organisation’s People policies.
• Lead on ensuring all aspects of service and property compliance and H&S are maintained at appropriate levels at all times, escalating concerns without delay to senior management.
• Lead on the monitoring and delivery of all relevant contract performance elements, supporting your team to proactively engage with the meeting (and exceeding) of those measures.
• Maintain oversight across all safeguarding matters for the service, leading on engagement with external stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams, attending case review meetings where appropriate.
• Support the team to take ownership of any rent management matters for residents, helping them to understand the importance of appropriate money management and to take necessary action to avoid arears, which will involve administration of housing benefit claims.
• Support the team with welfare benefit queries and money management skills to maximise rental income.

We’re looking for a Data Manager to lead on the delivery of data management, analysis and reporting. Ensure robust governance and compliance of data and lead on data insight to be able to demonstrate impact and create opportunity.

The ideal candidate

To be considered for this role, you should be able to:

• Oversee the management, integrity and development of the operations Salesforce In-Form.
• Lead on the design and delivery of reporting tools and dashboards to monitor performance.
• Work with IT and external suppliers to maintain security and reliability of systems.
• Ensure accurate and consistent data entry, storage, and processing across all teams.
• Produce regular monitoring reports for service commissioners, ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
• Prepare diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) reports to track and improve outcomes for clients.
• Serve as the charity’s Data Protection Officer ensuring compliance with all data protection regulations (UK GDPR, PECR, etc.) and sector standards.
• Implement robust data quality assurance processes and reporting mechanisms.

Our Maintenance team works across multiple properties to ensure our residents have safe, good-quality homes. We work closely with project staff to identify and complete repairs, carry out ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare empty homes for new residents.

We operate across East Sussex, centred around our Foyers in Eastbourne and Hastings, which provide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25. We also manage several larger shared houses (typically 4–8 residents) through our Transitional Housing teams, supporting young people on their journey to independence.
In total, the team helps maintain safe homes for approximately 180 residents across the county.

We are recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Worker to supervise a small team of Maintenance Workers across East Sussex. This is a hands-on role, combining practical maintenance tasks with day-to-day staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising maintenance staff, offering constructive feedback, coaching, and support
• Providing a comprehensive maintenance, caretaking, and cleaning service to ensure safe, welcoming, psychologically informed accommodation
• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance across our sites in East Sussex, and occasionally supporting other housing schemes
• Completing maintenance, cleaning, repair, and redecoration works within agreed timescales, and delegating tasks where appropriate
• Performing or delegating general caretaking and cleaning duties, including cleaning communal areas, litter-picking, and waste removal

Qualifications and Training (Desirable)

• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in one or more maintenance skill areas

Whipps Cross Hospital ED (Emergency Department)

About St Giles

An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need. Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others. 

St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 10 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Whipps Cross ED. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.

About this key role

You will be part of the Whipps Cross ED Team meeting CYP (Children and Young People) at the point of presentation to the ED to offer support, which is a person centred with the aims to safeguard and reduce risk around the CYP. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

We actively encourage people with personal experience of the criminal justice system or lived experience of the issues facing this client group to apply for this role.

What we are looking for:

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience of assessing risk and implementing safety procedures when thinking about children and young people involved in or at risk of violence or exploitation
• Proven experience of working in a high-intensity environment, with an ability to effectively manage your own wellbeing
• Experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people, for example, people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused

St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 10 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Whipps Cross ED. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.

About this key role

You will be part of the Whipps Cross Emergency Department Team meeting CYP (Children and Young People) at the point of presentation to the ED to offer support, with the aim to safeguard and reduce risk around the CYP. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

We actively encourage people with personal experience of the criminal justice system or lived experience of the issues facing this client group to apply for this role.

What we are looking for:

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience of assessing risk and implementing safety procedures when thinking about children and young people involved in or at risk of violence or exploitation
• Proven experience of working in a high-intensity environment, with an ability to effectively manage your own wellbeing
• Experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people, for example, people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused

About the role:  You will be creative, self-motivated, conscientious and energetic, and have superb interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a wide range of people and build the supporter base of St Petrock’s. You will have strong project and event management skills to lead on major fundraising campaigns and events such as our annual Christmas fundraising video campaign, the Big Night Out sponsored sleepout, and the Big Night In fundraising dinner, along with the imagination and drive to develop a full programme of public fundraising challenges and events. You will also have the knowledge and drive to develop legacy giving and major donor programmes and, supported by the Fundraising and Communications Officer, will be responsible for our social media platforms, website, media relations, and other external communications.

You will be primarily based at the St Petrock’s homelessness centre, with the opportunity for some hybrid working (at home or at local co-working venue). Given the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a suitably insured vehicle and are able to attend meetings and events outside normal working hours to share about St Petrock’s as needed.

At the heart of Camden’s response to street homelessness, the Rough Sleepers Hub Assessment Centre at 165 King’s Cross Road offers people a safe, supportive place to begin their journey away from the streets. With 16 beds and a short-stay model focused on planned moves within 28 days, this service is about momentum, opportunity and change. As a Project Worker, you’ll play a central role in helping people take their next steps towards secure and sustainable housing.

Working in a psychologically informed and trauma-aware environment, you’ll lead a caseload and carry out meaningful assessments that place each person’s experiences, strengths and goals at the centre. You’ll develop personalised support plans, respond thoughtfully to complex situations, and offer practical, hands-on support - from daily living tasks and wellbeing, to housing pathways, training and employment opportunities. You’ll work closely with partners including Connect Forward, In Roads and Camden Routes off the Streets to deliver joined-up, holistic support that makes a real difference.

You will lead, with support, on the development and delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project seeking to support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service development, support a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.

You will coordinate and lead a minimum twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.   

You will have management responsibility of a small staff team, take overall lead on case management, coordinate outreach and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support women to access and engage with a range of services to meet their needs through effective and professional communication.
