To provide an efficient, effective and sensitive housing management service to the Licence/ Occupational Contract Holders of Newport Mind- Mind in Gwent’s accommodation-based support services. This includes- monitoring of rental income, managing lettings, breaches of tenancy and associated administration tasks.
To ensure compliance with Renting Homes Wales Act 2022 in all instances and take immediate remedial action when this has not happened.
To work closely with the Housing and Tenancy Support (HaTs) service to maintain a high level of service, balancing letting priorities with support service delivery aims.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable freelance bookkeeper or accountant to join our extended team and help keep our finances running smoothly. You’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role, supporting our nursery’s sustainability and ensuring we can continue delivering quality care for local families.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with purpose-led organisations, and who values flexibility, community impact, and clear communication.
Your Key Responsibilities
● Run monthly payroll (ideally in-person with our Nursery Administrator), and issue payslips to staff
● Prepare monthly management accounts in a clear, accessible format for trustees and management
● Produce statutory annual accounts for submission to Companies House and the Charity Commission
● Provide ad-hoc support and advice on bookkeeping, accounting, and financial queries as well as forecasting
● Assist in creating cash flow forecasts or budgets
● Act as a secondary bank signatory
What We’re Looking For
● Proven experience in bookkeeping or accountancy, ideally with small charities or community organisations
● Confidence with payroll processes and charity finance
● A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset – someone we can turn to with financial questions
● Familiarity with accounting software and simple reporting formats
● Bonus if you have experience working with voluntary boards or in the non-profit sector

The role
We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.
We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
- Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
- Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
- Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
- Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
- Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
- Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
- Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management
- Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
- Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned
- Conduct training sessions on other related health and safety as and when required
- Other duties commensurate with the role

We're looking for someone to be the regional representative for Crimestoppers in the Avon and Somerset area, with specific responsibility for;
- Creation and delivery of local/county/regionally specific crime-based campaigns in partnership with law enforcement agencies, local committees and volunteers.
- Coordination of cross border and national activity in support of ROCU’S, the NCA and other bodies such as the GLAA.
- Identifying and maximising funding opportunities for our charity including RM post, campaign activity, Fearless workers and for Business Development.
- Enabling volunteer committees to develop so they can operate effectively and achieve their full potential.
- Act as Crimestoppers spokesperson for the region covered, regarding media interviews.
Criteria
Essential
- Project management i.e. scoping planning, implementation and delivery of projects
- Budget management experience
- Ability to spend time away from home to meet the needs of the role.
- Ability to work unsociable hours in line with the needs of the role.
- Ability to work to tight timescales, and to work within pressurised time critical and decision-making scenarios.
Desirable
- Experience of working with the commercial/ statutory sector in relation to campaigns/ media.
- Experience of working with volunteers and the third sector.
- Ability to liaise with senior and junior management within organisations to delivered relevant outcomes.
- Basic knowledge of policing practice.
- Experience of lone working
