What you'll be doing
We have a grand opportunity for someone looking to grow their charity experience - As our Fundraising Officer, you'll generate income by creating exceptional written applications and reports. To do this, you'll dive into research, keeping tabs on all fundraising opportunities, as well as crafting strong grant proposals, which is a key aspect of this role. You'll also need to bring in new corporate supporters by building new relationships/sponsorships as well as maintaining existing ones.

In this dynamic team, you'll plan costing, and execute various activities for a charity experiencing an invigorating period of expansion. The role encourages autonomy for you to help move the foundation forward, giving you visibility to own it by working with different people within the organisation to help our foundation grow.

• Experience of securing significant income from partnerships with trusts, corporates, and/or foundations
• Organised, independent, easily multitask, good timekeeping, and deadline-driven
• Excellent communication/customer skills, especially with internal and external stakeholders

The Role

This is a new role which will be focused on a specific project to initially set up and support our member led Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) task group and subgroups. These task groups, with your support, will lead the direction that our EDI membership initiatives take. One of the primary core initiatives will be the delivery of a mentoring scheme for our members with an inclusivity focus.

• Demonstratable knowledge of the EDI space, leading practises and ideologies

• Previous experience of working with members/volunteers including in an advisory and secretariat capacity.

• An understanding of and preferably experience of managing mentoring schemes.

Lancashire Mind is a local charity working to prevent poor mental health. We support people experiencing common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. We work with children and adults, offering universal services to help people improve their mental wellbeing, along with targeted services for people and communities at increased risk of experiencing poor mental health or facing mental health inequalities. The focus of the role will be to ensure that more people with lived experience of poor mental health know who Lancashire Mind are, what we do and how they can influence our work. You'll work with the Community Engagement Projects Lead to create a range of opportunities for people to participate, including establishing formal structures, for example a lived experience panel and youth advisory group, which you'll design with the people who want to get involved. You'll work with colleagues across all teams to ensure opportunities to influence Lancashire Mind's work are promoted to everyone who uses our services.

As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

Role: Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager
Reporting to: Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager
Purpose of job: To work as a key part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team, line managed by the Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, and accountable to the Museum’s Director. This role will bring in vital income from trusts, foundations, corporate partners and individuals to deliver the business plan. This role has responsibility for achieving income targets by collaborating across all departments to understand and translate fundable and core activities into compelling cases for support.
Working pattern: 35 hours per week, usually worked from 10 – 6pm. Flexible/hybrid working offered for up 40% of hours to be worked from home.

Salary: c£36,000-38,000 depending on experience

Who we are looking for:

• You will be our ideal candidate if you are a high performing and target driven person, who enjoys working in a fast paced and rewarding environment. 
• You will have a track record of securing grants, gifts and donations from individuals, trusts, foundations or corporate supporters. 
• You will have a solid understanding of the principles of successful relationship stewardships, across a diverse group of donors, funders, patrons and partners.

• You will have excellent written and organisational skills; be able to juggle multiple priorities and work across diverse departments; and manage relations with a range of supporters and funding bodies, including timely submission of reports.
• This is an excellent opportunity for a person with experience in one of the specified areas of fundraising, such as trusts and foundations, individuals or in corporate support, who is looking to expand their experience across the full range of philanthropic and partnerships activity.
   

Key objectives in first 6 months:

• Established position as a trusted and valued colleague within the Museum team
• Contributed towards a new philanthropic strategy for building income from established and new supporters, including corporate supporters, trusts and foundations and statutory sources, and made demonstrable progress in raising revenue in line with this
• Successfully managed existing relationships with funders including stewardship of supporters, grants and reporting as required
• Submitted new funding applications and researched and developed new prospects for funding and securing actual income to an agreed target

Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Identification, Communication and Cultivation

• Identify, research and develop a pipeline of trusts and foundations prospects, ensuring that relationships are well managed and planned for first, second and third requests for funding, as appropriate.
• Identify, research and approach corporate partnership prospects to support agreed priorities such as exhibitions and programmes
• Work closely with colleagues in Events, Commercial and Communications to promote corporate sponsorship packages, including working on communications and campaigns that encourage uptake and renewal
• Crafting compelling and engaging letters, proposals and applications to potential and existing supporters
• Collate social impact statistics and create an internal bank of resources that communicate our work articulately and passionately
• Reporting to funders by working with consultants and colleagues to write well-crafted and timely reports, highlighting the difference that a supporter's contribution has made, with accurate financial data and spend against projects, to draw down grants as required
• Ensure that supporters are contracted and acknowledged appropriately; including personally, on website, on site and/or in printed materials as appropriate, and ensure all agreed benefits are delivered

Person specification
Essential:

The Philanthropy & Partnerships team
In Autumn 2023, Foundling Museum delivered a successful, ambitious capital campaign to secure the future of the Museum through a variety of supporters, from individuals, major supporters and trusts/foundations.
The Philanthropy team is responsible for the funding revenue needs of the Museum, which for 2024-25 is c£800,000, making up approximately 36% of total income.
The post of Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager will deliver against personal targets toward this goal. Remaining income includes Arts Council England National Portfolio funding, NLHF funding, core earned income (admissions) and trading activities (retail and venue hire).
The Philanthropy and Partnerships team collaborates closely with the Director, Chair of Trustees and Development Consultants and across all departments to understand and translate fundable and core activities into compelling cases for support. Across a year the team raises vital income for exhibitions, learning and participation activities, events, capital projects, an established endowment fund and unrestricted revenue income.

About the job

We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.

You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.

This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approx. 4 miles apart on a Rota basis. A full induction and continuous training will be given.

The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.

You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.

Your role

As Shop Manager at Scope's Gosforth shop,  you’ll have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be  generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You will have relevant experience in retail but a great attitude and willingness to learn is just as important.

About you

As Shop Manager you’ll be passionate about retail and have a love of fashion with experience of running a shop, or you’ll be looking for a management role as the next step in your career. To be successful, you’ll need a commercial, can-do attitude and always put the customer’s needs first. You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and a creative eye for displays. Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative and passionate bunch of superstars. We focus on sustainable fashion and engaging with local communities. It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day. So some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. Our full time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

With previous experience in a busy office environment, your experience will include:

· Purchase requisition, purchase orders and invoicing, reconciliation of supplier statements, bank reconciliation and preparing journals, payroll support expenses and preferred supplier account set up.

· Rent management including documenting resident moves and posting receipts paid by local authorities.

· Managing office supplies, and provision of facilities support in line with relevant Health & safety standards.

· Excellent communication skills and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, you will be able to manage a varied workload and prioritise activities and responses in order of importance.

· A knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR Regulations 2018 to ensure the appropriate management of personal and sensitive personal data.

· An understanding of trauma and its long-term effects on a person’s behaviours, self-esteem, confidence, and ability to trust others, plus knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised Finance Assistant who has exceptional IT skills including databases, excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience and ideally with case management systems for data and outcome recording, you will have outstanding attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Centre Fundraising Organiser to join the fundraising team at our Lanarkshire centre in Airdrie. 

As an integral member of the team, you will be based at the centre and assist in the delivery of a wide range of operational and administrative support, as well as social media activities.

Your responsibilities

• First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.

• Respond to enquiries from the public, volunteers, fundraisers, etc. (by phone, mail and in person), including responding to requests for information, materials and more.

• Refer enquiries to the Centre Fundraiser where appropriate.

• Provide and facilitate supporters with a choice of how they fundraise, and work with Maggie’s in line with the national strategy and plan.

• Provide excellent supporter care, which enthuses supporters and encourages commitment and loyalty to Maggie’s.

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently. There will be a requirement to work irregular hours and travel locally.

The Kidney Care UK Helpline is a new national service to support people online, on the phone and by email at the point they need support. 

This role would be ideal for someone with lived experience either as a patient, carer or health and social care professional, but primarily we’re seeking the skills to develop the processes, support knowledge development and lead a team to provide information, advice and non-medical guidance in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

BACKGROUND 

The Helen Bamber Foundation is a human rights organisation with an international reputation for providing medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection, and practical support to survivors of trafficking and torture.  We are a team of therapists, doctors, lawyers, caseworkers and administrators who help men, women and children recover from the emotional and physical damage they have suffered because of torture, human trafficking, or other forms of cruelty.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE 

As  Psychotherapist within the Helen Bamber Foundation, you will work alongside our current Senior Psychotherapist and be responsible for supporting the Head of Therapies and the Team Manager in providing a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions to clients of the Helen Bamber Foundation.

In addition to providing psychotherapy, stabilization, psychoeducation, and trauma focused therapy, this role will include delivery of psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, as well as delivery of clinical supervision to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who nonetheless have significant client contact, and supervision of assistant psychologists. As you develop in the role you will also have opportunities to contribute to the on-going development of the service and at times, the role may include input into policy, research and fundraising and delivery of consultancy and training. 

We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level.  This role requires the ability to be with the complex and sometimes harrowing details of a client’s experience, and to react and respond creatively and appropriately to their needs.Additionally, you will be knowledgeable and experienced in consultation and assessment including risk management, and have competence, or a commitment to receiving training, in at least one model of trauma therapy such as NET or EMDR.

We are looking to recruit a qualified Low Intensity Therapist (PWP). You will be actively committed to developing your skills in cognitive behavioural therapy in a primary care mental health setting. You will provide a Primary Care Psychological Therapies Service to customers of Mind in Bexley Talking Therapies with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, mainly of a mild to moderate severity and impact, primarily Steps 1 and 2 (Stepped Care).

You will deliver high quality, high volume, evidence-based low intensity therapy which will be short term and primarily cognitive behavioural and self-management interventions.

PWPs will offer a wide range of interventions, including telephone and online treatment CBT programmes, psycho-educational groups, courses, workshops, webinars and one-to-one work.

This is a fast-paced role and carries a high-volume caseload. The role is varied and constantly evolving.

One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for someone with experience of delivering a successful support programme to service users in a prison, probation or social care setting to join us as an Older Prisoners’ Activities Assistant Manager within The Salvation Army, this position is called CAMEO Assistant Manager.

In partnership with HMP Liverpool and Liverpool City Council we run CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) a programme which offers a supportive, caring and stimulating environment for older people in prison. As Assistant Manager you will assist in setting up an innovative and engaging day centre which will provide meaningful activity and positive relationships, improves wellbeing, reduces social isolation and offers opportunities for rehabilitative interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive relationships with service users and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external agencies in order to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to meet the needs of the prisoner cohort
• Assist the Manager in ensuring that all relevant administration, data collection and analysis is collated and reported on, including monthly and annual reports to line management
• Be an active part of the wider CAMEO team, bringing meaningful contributions to team meetings, departmental strategy and development of the wider CAMEO programme
• Contribute to any security checks, planning and risk assessments as needed
• Undergo training in safeguarding, security awareness, conditioning and manipulation awareness, and other HMPPS/TSA training deemed necessary by line management

To succeed, you will need:

• Good experience of delivering a successful support programme to service users in a prison, probation service or social care setting
• Good experience of working collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop successful and collaborative working relationships with service users and colleagues, including vulnerable client cohorts
