MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will lead the creation and delivery of Individual Giving and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth.  It will define strategy, build insight-led, multi-channel programmes and design supporter journeys that deepen engagement over time, from first gift to long term support and legacy giving. 

Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity.  You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Individual Giving and Legacies strategy, covering acquisition, retention, regular giving and legacy development.
• Design and deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns to grow income and lifetime value.
• Build and optimize end-to-end supporter journeys, including pathways to legacy giving.
• Grow and develop legacy income including awareness, pipeline development and stewardship approaches.
• Use data, segmentation and insight to drive decision making, improve performance and increase retention.
• Set, manage and reforecast budgets ensuring delivery against income targets.
• Lead a test and learn approach, embedding continuous improvement across individual giving and legacy activity.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, services and wider teams to align messaging, case for support and supporter experience.
• Manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver high quality campaigns and strong return on investment.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulation, Gift Aid and data protection requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience in Individual Giving and/or Legacy fundraising with exposure to both areas.
• Proven track record of delivering income growth through campaigns or programme development.
• Experience developing and delivering multi-channel fundraising activity.
• Strong understanding of supporter journeys, retention and lifetime value including pathways to legacy giving.
• Experience using data, segmentation and insight to drive performance.
• Experience managing budgets, targets and forecasting.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver at pace.

Harris Hill has an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising and Marketing Officer, to join an international charity from 9th March for 2-3 months, to cover a leaver and interim recruitment period.

The role is full time, on a hybrid basis, with one day per week being either a Tuesday or a Thursday. This day may need to change week to week.

As the Fundraising and Marketing Officer, you will sit within the Marketing and Communications team, supporting the organisation with the creation of supporter communications for email, web, and social media. Legacy giving is a vital and growing part of Greenpeace UK's fundraising programme, generating £5–7.5 million each year and playing a crucial role in securing long-term, sustainable income. Following a recent step-change in investment, there is now a significant opportunity to accelerate growth and position legacy giving more centrally across Greenpeace UK’s fundraising and supporter engagement.

This role is central to Greenpeace UK’s legacy programme, managing a varied caseload from straightforward estates to complex and high-value cases. As a newly created position, it brings legacy administration fully in-house and will play a key role in ensuring income is realised in full, accurately managed, and delivered in line with best practice.

As Legacy Case Manager, you will: 

• Manage a caseload of residuary, pecuniary, life interest, discretionary, and high-value legacies, including contentious cases
• Lead on the preparation, monitoring and reporting of the legacy income budget and mid year forecasts, working closely with Finance and Fundraising colleagues to provide accurate, timely projections and variance analysis
• Work closely with internal teams and build effective external relationships with solicitors, executors and families to support positive outcomes
• Identify and resolve complex issues involving probate, trusts, tax, property, or litigation
• Represent Greenpeace UK externally with professionalism, fostering constructive relationships with pledgers, executors, solicitors, and sector peers
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Charity Commission guidance, and ILM best practice

Essential skills and experience:

• Substantial experience in charity legacy and estate administration, both contentious and non-contentious
• Significant knowledge of probate, trusts, tax, and property issues relevant to legacy casework
• Strong understanding of sector best practice in legacy administration and charity law
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume and varied caseload to deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Diplomacy, empathy, and resilience in handling contentious or sensitive cases
• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage competing demands

A legal, probate, or legacy administration qualification is advantageous but not required.

The Senior Fundraising Executive (Grants) leads on bid-writing and relationship building with grantmakers (Trusts/Foundations/Public). The candidate will be a key player in the Grants team alongside the Director of Development (Grants/Major Gifts) and Development Officer. Create has seen its fundraising increase significantly in recent years, as it fulfils its ambitious plans to double its reach by its 25th anniversary in 2028. The Grants team is responsible for securing over 50% of the charity’s income, managing an extensive portfolio of T/F/Public funders, approaching a well-researched pipeline of potential funders, and researching prospects. Philanthropy Manager

 MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities

1. Capital Fundraising Leadership

• Develop and deliver capital fundraising strategies to support major infrastructure and service development projects.
• Create compelling cases for support aligned to organisational strategy and impact.
• Identify and secure major gifts (£25k+) to support capital appeals.
• Work closely with senior leadership and Trustees to activate networks and fundraising influence.
• Monitor and report on capital fundraising performance against agreed targets.

2. High-Net-Worth Individual (HNW) Engagement

• Develop and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and prospective major donors.
• Identify, research, and cultivate new prospects through networking, events, and relationship mapping.
• Develop bespoke engagement and stewardship plans for each donor.
• Lead face-to-face solicitations and gift negotiations.
• Deliver exceptional stewardship to maximise lifetime value and long-term engagement.

3. Corporate Fundraising & Partnerships

• Develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy aligned to Brainkind’s mission and values.
• Secure new corporate partnerships including strategic, multi-year, and employee engagement partnerships.
• Develop sponsorship opportunities linked to capital projects, events, and services.
• Manage key account relationships and ensure high-quality reporting and impact demonstration.
• Explore cause-related marketing and CSR partnership opportunities.

4. Strategy & Collaboration

• Contribute to the overall fundraising strategy and annual income planning.
• Collaborate with communications and service teams to develop impactful donor materials.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and pipeline management using CRM systems.
• Maintain compliance with fundraising regulation and best practice

Programme delivery, training and internal collaboration:

• Lead delivery of the Grateful Patient Plan, implementing key activities to increase staff engagement and donor referrals.

Additional Information

Philanthropy and Partnerships fundraising at Alzheimer's Research UK has grown significantly over recent years. The Directorate has a strong track record of soliciting seven-figure donations and winning significant corporate partnerships with well-known and well-loved brands such as Omaze, Cadbury, Warburtons, Roadchef and Dobbies.

We are now building upon this success and have launched a new, significant fundraising campaign. This campaign will help drive further transformational growth, from income across major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners. Ultimately, it will help us fund cutting-edge research that will bring forward the day when we can diagnose, treat and prevent dementia. 

As part of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Leadership Team, and working closely with the senior stakeholders across ARUK, the Head of Philanthropy will lead the organisation’s work with our philanthropy audiences (namely major donors, trusts and foundations). Under the banner of the new campaign, the Head of Philanthropy will define and implement the team’s strategy, ensuring it supports the charity’s vision, mission and strategic objectives. 

The Head of Philanthropy will lead a Directorate of approximately 8-10 people and line manage three team members (namely the Philanthropy Executive and two Philanthropy Managers).

The role holder will also personally lead on relationships with a small group of ARUK’s most generous supporters, and prospective supporters, across Philanthropy audiences.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy, finance and reporting

· Work with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships and Partnerships to lead on the strategy for the Philanthropy Team, including leading on the Ops plan, budgeting and strategy for the team.

· Grow Philanthropy income at Alzheimer’s Research UK, in line with agreed targets and expenditure.

· Monitor progress against targets, adjusting as necessary.

· Provide direction, guidance and support across the Philanthropy team.

· Evaluate reporting methods across the team and ensure they facilitate the accurate recording of the Philanthropy team’s fundraising activities.

· Represent the Philanthropy team at Head level internally.

Fundraising

· Manage a small portfolio of key current and prospective donors, building strategic relationships at the very highest level and delivering six and seven-figure gifts.

· Build a network of Senior Volunteers, working with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships to ensure the team are maximising the opportunities available through our President, Chair and other senior stakeholders.

· Develop a thorough understanding of ARUK’s projects, policies and activities to enable you to articulate the mission of our work and inspire people to join us.

· Present and pitch to potential supporters and donors, managing high-level meetings where relevant and engaging other appropriate senior representation when needed.

· Ensure high-quality management of existing supporter relationships, making sure supporters find giving to ARUK rewarding and enjoyable.

· Tailor and develop Cases for Support to attract support for the work of ARUK’s projects.

· Manage and attend events and meetings with external representatives and involving the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, CEO and other colleagues and volunteers.

· Work with senior and scientific staff, empowering them to build relationships with current and prospective supporters.

· Explore the opportunities for cross-team working, especially, but not limited to the Corporate Fundraising and Celebrity teams.

Line Management and people management

· Inspire, motivate, challenge and support individuals and teams within the Philanthropy team. Promote collaborative working across the team and with other teams across the charity, developing a culture of innovation, openness, accountability and resourcefulness.

· Line manage three members of staff, namely two Philanthropy Managers and the Donor Relations Manager, actively empowering, coaching and supporting them to develop their teams’ operational plans and deliver on key priorities.

· Set clear goals, objectives and KPIs for each team member and provide them with the ongoing guidance and support they need to reach them.

· Role model and actively embed Alzheimer’s Research UK values and behaviours across all activities, and champion the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

· Provide strong leadership and support to the Philanthropy Team, through coaching, mentoring and developing individuals to enable them to effectively carry out their role.  Carry out performance appraisal meetings and effectively promote team building and collaborative working to deliver the strategic and operational plans.

· Ensure all Philanthropy and Partnerships activity is conducted to the highest standards and in line with the strategic priorities, developing consistent and rigorous methods for measuring success and sharing knowledge/outcomes across the team, department, and wider charity.

Communications

· Work closely with the Finance team to ensure all grants are correctly allocated and used, and conditions met

· Liaise and work with the Research team and the Communications team to produce accurate and timely reports and applications

· Stay up to date with ARUK’s research and other news to be able to communicate effectively with supporters, disseminating the charity’s key messages both among the team and to key supporters.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Demonstrable knowledge and experience of major gift fundraising.

· Thorough understanding of managing a team of fundraisers.

· Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies.

· Proven track record in establishing, monitoring and achieving ambitious fundraising targets.

· Experience of managing a Philanthropy team to deliver significant income growth.

· Excellent communicator, with an ability to build relationships and inspire confidence and respect at all levels.

· Demonstrates strong negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills, with an ability to present arguments logically and confidently

· Excellent listening skills, receptive to feedback and demonstrates flexibility, curiosity and an ability to learn.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Wakefield Youth Zone will be the newest member of OnSide's growing network of state-of-the-art youth centres, giving young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to when school is out. With capital funding secured and construction about to begin, the next critical phase is revenue fundraising.

This is more than a fundraising leadership role. It's an opportunity to build the fundraising and communications function from day one. Initially, you'll be the driving force behind building a community of around 34 Founder Patrons, each giving £25,000 per year for four years, creating the financial foundation for the Youth Zone's first years of operation. As opening approaches, you'll recruit and lead your own team, shaping strategy, culture, and long-term sustainability.

We're looking for someone entrepreneurial, relationship-led and comfortable working independently. You'll be supported by the national OnSide network, an exceptionally successful proven model, and a growing Yorkshire partnership with Barnsley Youth Zone.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the Founder Patron campaign, securing multi-year major/corporate gifts
• Build and lead the fundraising and communications function
• Develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising strategy
• Personally manage key donor and corporate relationships
• Work collaboratively across the OnSide network and region
• Sit on the future Senior Leadership Team

We’re looking for an ambitious Corporate Fundraiser to join our friendly team based at our Coventry hospice on a one-year maternity cover contract. If you’re looking for an exciting and rewarding role, this could be the position for you. Overview

We’re incredibly proud of our hospices. We provide respite, palliative and end of life care to babies and children from birth to five years old with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses, with our team of specialist nurses offering round-the-clock care and support. We’ve created a safe, caring and fun place, where parents know that their child will receive the best care possible - a home away from home.  In order to continue with our specialist work, we need to ensure the charity continues to raise the funds we need. 
 

About the role

Supporting the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by developing a portfolio of corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry to deliver long term sustainable income growth. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Account manage corporate relationships 

• Account manage newly established and existing corporate relationships, ensuring that each one is appropriately supported and is reaching its full potential, through charity of the year partnerships, sponsorship, staff fundraising, payroll giving and event participation.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure corporate fundraising offering is consistent across all relationships.
•  Plan and execute events to steward current supporters.
•  Meet and exceed agreed fundraising targets for corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry.
• Identify potential new opportunities to grow current partnerships, including identifying potentially useful networks within each partner organisation, developing powerful ideas, pitches and tailored proposals.

Re-engage past Corporate supporters. 

• Undertake research to identify past corporate supporters using our CRM and devise/implement plans to re-engage their support. 
• Plan and execute events to re-engage past supporters.
• Devise new products to re-engage past corporate supporters.

Networking and Representation 

• Represent Zoe’s Place at external corporate functions to promote the work of the Hospice by giving presentations, articulating a clear and compelling case for support.
• Attend networking events such as the Chamber of Commerce as required.

Administration and pipeline 

• Use our fundraising CRM and in line with GDPR to ensure accurate and timely recording of stewardship. 
• Working with an income pipeline, ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting, identifying risk to income and mitigating accordingly. 

Collaborative working

• Work closely with staff across the charity to maximise opportunities to engage with high-value audiences, ensuring accurate sharing of information, such as case studies, is relevant and timely.
• Develop strong working relationships with the wider Coventry marketing, fundraising and Coventry clinical team. 
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other members of staff in order to ‘cross-sell’ and maximise fundraising opportunities.

This role will work across our marketing and digital function, as well as the wider communications and fundraising teams and the wider service, including our operational frontline staff, building key relationships to allow us to test and progress different propositions, products and fundraising initiatives.
