We are now seeking an Interim Adult Counselling Clinical Lead to join our Adult Counselling Team at this pivotal time. This opportunity is available as either a fixed-term appointment or a secondment opportunity within the Alliance (9 months).
As a specialist charity supporting survivors of sexual violence across twelve South London boroughs, we provide counselling, group therapy, advocacy, prevention education, and professional training. With an annual income of approximately £4 million, we are growing and strengthening our infrastructure to better serve survivors and communities.
About the Role
This is a key leadership role providing clinical, operational, and strategic oversight of our Adult Counselling service.

Job purpose

The Role

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

About the role
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will be supporting victims of domestic abuse, who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.

It remains one of the UK’s most significant centres of pilgrimage. Each year, we receive around 10,000 residential pilgrims and over 100,000 visitors. Our work also includes education programmes, school visits and resources to support the teaching of Christianity in schools and parishes. The Shrine is supported by donations, membership, legacies and grants, and receives no statutory funding.
We are now establishing a more structured and professional approach to fundraising and this role will play an important part in supporting the delivery of that activity and helping to build a sustainable income base for the future.

Job Description: Fundraising Officer
Line Manager:Director of Engagement and Education
Salary:£40,000-£45,000 per annum (pro rata if part time)
Normal place of work:The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, Norfolk, with some flexibility for hybrid working (1-2 days per week remote)
Hours:40 hours per week (may include weekends and Bank Holidays as required)
Holiday Terms:25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (those worked can be taken off in lieu)
Terms: An initial 6 months. The appointment to be confirmed, if satisfactory, after that period. Notice period - 8 weeks
Pension: The company operates a contributory pension scheme, the post holder contributing one third of the premium up to a maximum of five percent of salary.
Meals: During the Pilgrimage Season (1 February to 8 December) meals will be free of charge from the pilgrim refectory menu on the days the post holder is on shift.

Purpose of the role
To support the delivery of fundraising activity, ensuring that campaigns, communications and supporter relationships are well managed and professionally delivered.
The role combines project coordination, communications and relationship support, and would suit someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
Key responsibilities
Supporter and Membership Engagement
Support the day-to-day running of the Shrine’s membership programme. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communications
Help build stronger relationships with supporters
Campaign and Project Delivery
Support the delivery of fundraising campaigns and appeals Coordinate communications across print and digital channels Track responses and help monitor performance
Trusts and Grants
Research potential funders
Draft applications to smaller trusts (typically up to £5,000) Manage deadlines and reporting requirements
Communications and Content
Support the creation of newsletters and supporter updates. Assist with writing and editing fundraising communications
Donor Research and Support
Carry out research to identify potential supporters Prepare briefing materials for meetings and events
Events and Stewardship
Support the organisation of fundraising events Help manage invitations, guest lists and follow-up Ensure donors are thanked and kept informed
Systems and Administration
Maintain accurate supporter data
Support the development and use of fundraising systems

Person Specification

About the Role
As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims of domestic abuse via the telephone, then tailor the support to them explaining our services, and assessing the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users. Alongside working with the adults who have been victims of doemstic abuse, you will also support children and young people who have experienced crime.
As a Caseworker you will:
- Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
- Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
- Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
- Keep accurate & confidential case records on a bespoke case management system
- Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, as well as children/youn people and their parents delivering immediate support.
- Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support
- Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer
- Work as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients
About You
You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.
You will need:
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to navigate and utilise bespoke case management systems effectively and an ability to use Microsoft Office applications to a high standard
- Good organisational & time management skills, able to manage competing needs and priorities.
- To work effectively both as part of a team & independently
- To develop & maintain partnerships with internal & external organisations.
- The ability to maintain professional boundaries & confidentiality.
- Personal resilience to manage exposure to highly emotional or sensitive demands of the role
