An exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting young people to build resilience and thrive. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated leader to manage programmes and daily operations at our Hereford farm. Set in the stunning Golden Valley on the Welsh border, Jamie’s Farm Hereford offers young people the chance to take part in real, meaningful farm life in a nurturing and purposeful environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our young people have a meaningful, inclusive, and memorable experience, feeling the positive impact long after their visit.
What is Jamie’s Farm? Jamie’s Farm is a charity that supports young people by combining therapeutic work, farming, and purposeful activities to help them thrive. Through residential visits to our working farms, we provide a nurturing environment where young people can reflect, build confidence, and develop the resilience they need to overcome personal challenges.
Known internally as ‘Head of Farm’
More about the role: As Head of Farm, you will lead the delivery of our programme at Jamie’s Farm Hereford, working alongside and managing a values-driven team to deliver an impactful programme. You will help achieve key performance goals including high visitor retention and staff satisfaction rates, while also leading professional development and team-building activities for your team.
You will participate in all aspects of farm life - leading walks, guiding young people through meaningful output-based jobs like gardening or log chopping, and creating meaningful connections during shared meals and evening programmes. You will also contribute to broader Jamie’s Farm strategy as a key member of the Leadership team.
About you: We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader who embodies Jamie’s Farm core values of positivity, passion, generosity, collaboration, and professionalism. You will have experience in relational leadership and practice with young people. Prior management experience is preferred, showing your ability to support and motivate teams effectively. About Us
NCT is the national charity for pregnancy, birth, infant feeding and early parenthood.
Our vision is simple: a society where everyone who becomes a parent feels confident, connected and safe.
Through our For Every Parent strategy, we're working to make that vision a reality. We support parents with trusted information, practical help, local communities and a stronger voice in the issues that matter to families.
For 70 years, we've been by parents' sides through the excitement, uncertainty, wonder and challenges of becoming a parent. Today, our volunteers contribute more than 70,000 hours of community service each year, helping parents build friendships, find support and feel less alone.
We educate and empower parents with evidence-based information and support. We advocate and act by listening to parents' experiences, raising their voices and campaigning for change. No judgement. No exceptions.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead NCT’s marketing through an important period of growth, change and brand development, joining us for a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
As Head of Marketing, you’ll lead our integrated marketing function, with a clear focus on driving income growth, particularly through course bookings, strengthening how parents see and experience NCT, and supporting wider revenue generation through partnerships.
You’ll bring together brand, content, campaigns and performance marketing so that our activity is more coordinated, audience-led and commercially focused. Working closely with colleagues across Parent Services, Fundraising, Digital Product and the wider organisation, you’ll make sure marketing plans are clearly connected to the outcomes that matter - from first awareness through to booking a course and beyond.
You’ll also play a key role leading NCT’s Content Studio: a central in-house function designed to deliver high-quality, consistent and effective content across our website, social media, email, campaigns and other channels.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, brand building with commercial performance, and creativity with clear measurement and accountability.
Your role will include:
About you
You’ll be a strategic, commercially minded marketing leader who understands how to turn insight into action and activity into measurable results.
You’ll be confident leading integrated campaigns, managing budgets and using performance data to make decisions. You’ll understand how brand, content, audience insight, digital channels and commercial outcomes connect, and you’ll be able to bring those elements together in a clear, focused and practical way.
You’ll also be someone who can create pace without creating confusion. You’ll set direction clearly, help people prioritise, and give teams the confidence to move forward. You won’t wait for everything to be perfect before making progress, but you’ll have the judgement to know where quality, consistency and risk need careful attention.
Alongside this, you’ll be a collaborative and inclusive leader who enjoys working across an organisation, building strong relationships and helping others see how marketing can support shared goals.
You’ll bring:
