Responsibilities of our Head of Health & Safety and Environment: 

- Lead the Health, Safety and Environment team 

- To be Cats Protection’s H&S competent person 

- Collaborate across the charity to align Health, Safety and Environment plans with our strategy 

- Lead the development and implementation of value-adding initiatives and activity 

- Own and set the strategic direction for environmental initiatives and plans 

- Update and modernise our Health & Safety function and policies 

- Maintain expert knowledge and understanding of current and future legislation 

- Lead the investigation of significant incidents, including cause, learning and improvement 

- Develop and oversee a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental training strategy 

- Lead the team in the attaining relevant H&S and environment quality standards

About the Health & Safety and Environment team: 

The team is a multi-tasking team that undertakes most Health and Safety tasks in-house, working closely with most other teams within Cats Protection. The team is made up of a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator and 4 regional officers who cover the whole of the UK. The team deal with the Cats Protection retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, branch volunteer enquiries and more.

What we’re looking for in our Head of Health & Safety and Environment: 

- NEBOSH diploma or equivalent H&S qualification and chartered ISOH membership 

- Significant Health & Safety management experience at a similar head of department level 

- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams 

- Experience in a complex, multi-site public sector, facilities or charity organisation 

- Strong knowledge of all current and emerging Health & Safety legislation and guidance 

- Experience of leading the modernisation of H&S services and activities 

- Inspirational leader with the ability to build strong relationships 

- Ability to plan, develop and implement key Health and Safety, and Environment policies

Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence has been supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse since 1994, and today provides a range of services to anyone in Derbyshire or Derby City who has experienced sexual abuse, assault or violence, including friends and family members. We're looking for A highly motivated Ch-ISVA to work across Derbyshire. The role will support people aged 13+ and over including adults who have experienced sexual abuse or rape at any point. The successful candidate with join our friendly, professional and passionate team, working across Derbyshire remotely and in person.

About the role

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. What You will do:

• Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.

Job purpose 

As Youth Engagement Project Officer, you’ll work closely with the Programme Manager, the wider Libraries Rising team, The Reading Agency, library services and young people to support the delivery of this project, and to develop our wider support of libraries with their youth engagement work.

The Opportunity

Working with some of the biggest household names, we support regional, national and international charities to create safe, vibrant, and engaging online communities that protect their brand reputations and empower their supporters.

From community management to supporter experience, we’ve helped our charity partners raise over £40 million. As our reputation and client base continue to grow, we’re seeking a Social Media Operations Officer to support the day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of our Social Media Moderation service.

Role overview

This role will play a vital part in ensuring our charity partners receive a high-quality, insight-led service while providing additional support to our team of moderators and Team Leaders.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Social Media Moderation Manager and wider leadership team to support operational delivery, reporting, onboarding, quality assurance, and administrative processes across our portfolio of charity accounts.

The role would suit an organised, proactive individual with strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting charities and online communities.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and insights

• Produce weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and campaign reports for charity partners.

• Collect and analyse moderation data across accounts, including response rates, hidden content, escalations and key themes.

• Gather standout comments, community feedback and examples of positive engagement for inclusion within reports.

• Support the development of benchmarking documents and trend analysis across accounts.

• Prepare meeting notes and action logs following account meetings.

Moderator support

• Assist with onboarding new moderators, including arranging inductions and sharing key documentation.

• Support the creation and maintenance of moderator handbooks and guidance documents.

• Identify recurring learning themes and help coordinate quality assurance and development activity.

• Work alongside Team Leaders to ensure they - and moderators - have the information and resources needed to deliver excellent moderation.

Account administration

• Support the onboarding of new charity partners, including helping to create and maintain moderation packs.

• Keep account guidance documents, FAQs, escalation processes, and key contact information up to date.

• Assist with meeting preparation, minute-taking and action tracking.

• Ownership of rota administration and maintain awareness of moderator availability.

• Coordinate internal documentation and process improvements.

Service development

• Contribute ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Social Media Moderation service.

• Support the creation of internal resources, templates and standard operating procedures.

• Assist with projects aimed at enhancing moderator wellbeing, training, and development.

• Shadow account management activities with opportunities for future progression within the agency.

The role offers opportunities to develop skills in account management, client relationships, moderation strategy, reporting, training and service development, with the potential to take ownership of selected charity accounts in the future. This is a new role at a genuine moment of growth for SSE - we expect to recruit over 600 social entrepreneurs across our learning programmes next year and every one of them starts with a good assessment. 

Our assessment work spans a large pool of staff, freelancers and partners, and this role exists to bring it all together: clear frameworks, consistent data, and a process that's welcoming to people who don't always find application processes easy.

We're looking for an assessment lead to design and embed the systems, training and guidance that help our wider team assess applicants fairly, consistently and efficiently - and to carry out assessments and interviews directly. You'll work closely with the Head of Grants and Assessment, our Tech Team, and Programme Managers across the organisation.

You’ll will need to have a rare combinations of skills – a good understanding of a wide range of social enterprises and charities, gained through experience of training, business consultancy or development support, combined with the ability to design systems to support data collection and assessment, and the ability to support others to use those systems. AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands we are looking for a specialist Advocate for Scotland. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. We welcome applications from candidates with experience of domestic abuse. We are also committed to diversity and strongly encourage applications from those with Black and/or Minoritised backgrounds.

Scotland is expected to introduce Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews commencing in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of the Scottish legislative system and good understanding around domestic abuse to join our growing charity

Our Specialist Advocates support families impacted by fatal domestic abuse through provision of lay advocacy, for and on behalf of, families with a range of statutory service providers (e.g. those conducting reviews and inquiries, social services, police, housing) and work to build good relations between all parties. To ensure that families get the support they need, you will use AAFDA’s Home Office endorsed seven-step approach to working with individuals and families, to ensure that they receive the best possible support and advocacy to restore dignity and relief for families and to help them cope and recover. Through trauma-informed approaches, you will:

· Listen to families and advocate for them in a complex system that too often treats them as passive participants and overlooks the value of their insight.

· Provide information, support, guidance, advice and advocacy on Domestic Homicide & Suicide Reviews (DHSR’s) and other reviews where relevant and appropriate.

· Manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.

· Give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.

· Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.
