Job Title: Safe Ground Programme Facilitator

Location: Based within HMP Forest Bank, Greater Manchester. You may be expected to travel to other services as required, including to Central London Central Office, HMP Altcourse and for in-person meetings held off site. Hybrid working is permitted with an option of up to 2 days working from home when appropriate. Step Free access is not available at this service.

Salary: £32,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:30. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and organisational requirements, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays and forming part of the out of hours on call rota for managers. 

About the Role

We’re hiring a Safe Ground Programme Facilitator to join our team based at HMP Forest Bank. In this role, you will support men in custody by delivering arts-based, therapeutically informed group interventions that explore identity, relationships, and behaviour.

As a Programme Facilitator, you will support the delivery of Safe Ground’s core programmes, including Fathers Inside and Man Up which have received national recognition being delivered nationally across custodial and community settings. You will work closely with colleagues to facilitate structured group sessions, encourage participant engagement, and ensure sessions are well prepared and consistently delivered. You’ll use creative approaches such as theatre, writing and participatory exercises to help participants reflect and engage in a meaningful way. Working within a remand prison setting, you will need to build trust quickly, respond to complex group dynamics, and maintain clear boundaries in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Previous experience within a prison or other criminal justice setting and/or within a similar role

• Support delivery of structured group programmes, including Fathers Inside and Man Up which have received national recognition being delivered nationally across custodial and community settings.

• Leading in facilitating arts-based, therapeutically informed group sessions

• Build rapport and trust with participants, supporting consistent engagement

• Respond appropriately to group dynamics and behaviour in a custodial setting

• Bespoke training and active learning will be provided

• Support session planning, preparation, and coordination of delivery

• Contribute to creative practice through theatre, writing and participatory methods

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support programme delivery and development

• Adapt to changing operational demands within a remand environment

About You

You will be able to build trust quickly, manage group dynamics, and create a safe and consistent space for participants. You’re calm under pressure, adaptable, and a strong team player with a genuine interest in creative, arts-based approaches. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our participants to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves. 

• Essential experience of working within a prison or criminal justice setting, or in a comparable role operating in complex environments.

• Experience facilitating or supporting group work

• Experience working with complex, challenging, or marginalised groups

• Ability to manage behaviour and maintain clear boundaries

• Great organisational skills and ability to support programme delivery
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals; respond flexibly to their needs and working patterns of the participants.

• Interest in working within the criminal justice system and with men in custody

• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs

• Interest or experience in creative/arts-based approaches (e.g. theatre, writing)

• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

We’re hiring a Trauma Stabilisation Worker to join our team based in Hove. In this role, you will support women who have experienced significant trauma and multiple disadvantages, including domestic and sexual violence, exploitation, homelessness, mental ill-health and substance use.

As a Trauma Stabilisation Worker, you will deliver person-centred support and structured interventions to help residents manage trauma, build emotional regulation skills and develop coping strategies to support recovery and housing stability. You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to maintain a trauma-informed, psychologically informed environment that promotes safety, consistency and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents experiencing trauma, mental ill-health, substance use, homelessness and complex needs

• Deliver structured 1:1 trauma stabilisation interventions and maintain a manageable caseload

• Help residents build emotional regulation, coping skills, and confidence to sustain housing and move forward positively

• Create and review personalised support plans through one-to-one work, group sessions, and multi agency collaboration

• Recognise and respond to risks, including safeguarding concerns and deterioration in mental health

• Plan and deliver trauma-informed group activities and contribute to house meetings

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide joined up support

• Keep accurate, timely records and maintain high standards of case management and confidentiality

• Support residents in crisis while maintaining clear professional boundaries

• Lone working is part of the role, with support from a wider team

About You

We’re looking for an empathetic and resilient individual who understands the impact of trauma and the challenges faced by women with multiple and complex needs. You will have experience supporting people affected by issues such as domestic abuse, mental ill-health, homelessness, and substance use. You will be confident delivering structured support, including one-to-one interventions and group work and be able to engage individuals who may be in distress or disengaged from services. 

You’ll be proactive, organised, and able to manage a varied workload, while working collaboratively within a team. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves.

We are a newly registered, fully-funded UK health charity embarking on a variety of health-related Missions.  Having secured Charity Commission approval and robust initial funding, we are now ready to step out of the planning phase.

Duet Health Foundation is starting with significant funding and access to external resources to support our initial campaigns which will include;

- Addressing significant safety issues related to certain commonly used medicines, gathering data on adverse events and deaths in order to campaign for ways to mitigate this.

- Raising awareness of rare diseases which are being missed. These can significantly affect sufferers’ lives, and while they may be relatively easy to diagnose and treat, are often simply not recognised by primary healthcare providers.

We are seeking our first employee—a visionary Director of Operations—to build our operational infrastructure from the ground up and turn our strategic vision into a highly impactful reality.

The Role

As our first hire, you will be a key part of the operational architecture of the charity. Working closely with the Founders, you will help transition the organisation from a newly approved legal entity into a fully functional, compliant, and active campaigning force. This is not a role for someone who just wants to manage existing systems; it is for a builder who also wants to create them.

The Director of Operations is a pivotal senior leadership role within the organisation, responsible for creating the operational backbone of the organisation. This role ensures that the organisation’s systems, people, suppliers and processes operate smoothly, safely and compliantly, enabling high-quality delivery. The Director of Operations will provide strong day-to-day operational leadership and discipline, freeing the Founders to focus on strategy, partnerships and organisational growth. The postholder will be highly organised, practical and accountable, with a strong focus on implementation and follow‑through.

To apply for this role, you will need to have significant operational management experience in a charity or similar environment. You will have demonstrable experience of managing complex operational systems and will have proven experience of workforce planning, operational delivery and implementing organisational change. You will have experience of managing suppliers, contracts and procurement processes and will have a strong understanding of operational compliance, risk management and audit readiness. Overall, you will be practical, organised and solutions-focused, with the confidence to work across teams and with trustees, suppliers and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Blueprinting: Design, implement, and oversee all required documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), financial controls, and risk management systems.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure total alignment with Charity Commission regulations, particularly the CC9 guidelines regarding political and health campaigning.
• Information Governance: Establish secure data sharing, privacy frameworks, and GDPR structures for future collection of sensitive patient and clinical data.
• Strategic Scaling: Manage third-party vendors (legal, IT, Associate contractors etc) and eventually support building the infrastructure for future recruitment.

About You

• Experienced: You have at least 5 years’ experience of operational management within the UK charity sector of the NHS, the pharmaceutical industry, or healthcare regulation (e.g., MHRA, NICE).
• A "Builder": You thrive on both teamwork and autonomy. You have a proven track record of setting up systems, policies, and teams from scratch.
• Governance Savvy: You have a solid understanding of UK charity law, compliance, and financial frameworks.

They are now seeking an exceptional Director of Finance and Resources to help ensure that extraordinary mission work is sustainable for generations to come.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will provide strategic leadership across CMS's financial sustainability, organisational infrastructure and central resources. This is a genuinely broad and influential role, covering financial strategy and management, investments, treasury, risk, legal and regulatory compliance, property and facilities, IT and cyber security, and relevant corporate governance. You will also maintain oversight of CMS's residual pension-related responsibilities following the transfer of its defined-benefit pension liabilities.
