What does this role do?
As Customer Insight Officer, you will:
- design and execute mixed method research projects, from quantitative surveys to focus groups, you’ll delve into our customer base to understand their behaviours,
- combine this research with existing data from internal and external sources, to pull together clear narratives that help us understand our customers,
- present insights to key stakeholders, distilling complex data into concise, actionable insights, that drive decision-making,
- use this data to contribute to the development of customer personas and journeys, working closely with colleagues in the Customer Journey team,
- support the management of our brand tracker.
Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 10th August 2026, and will take place on Teams.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience in a consumer, audience or market research role, with strong analytical and interpretative skills to draw significant insights from data. You’ll need some experience across qualitative and quantitative methods, such as running focus groups, or software and analytics tools. You’ll need experience of managing research projects from planning to execution, and we're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have training or experience in trauma-informed research practice.

About the Role
We are looking for a Chief Operations Officer to lead the operations team, join the management team and support the CEO. The Communications and Research Officer is a new post designed to help bridge the gap between the research and campaigning work of Drone Wars UK and our supporters and the general public. The role is split 50/50 between communications and research. The communications element combines social media activity, website content creation and email communications, helping to ensure our messages are communicated clearly, consistently and creatively across a range of channels. The research element consists of undertaking a number of short-term specific research projects alongside participation in on-going longer-term research work.

Communications
- To be responsible for Drone Wars UK’s website, managing regular content updates and improving the content, layout and structure.
- To schedule social media content and manage social media accounts to increase engagement and reach.

We're looking for a Digital Marketing Officer to support the delivery of paid digital campaigns that help Barnardo's reach new supporters and customers and grow our supporter base.

The right Senior Advocacy Officer will help us to lobby UK Parliament to further privacy and wider rights at a critical time – when a legal framework on police use of facial recognition is very soon to be introduced, and police are expanding their use of AI and new surveillance technologies. You’ll build on your strong experience to be a credible and proactive lobbyist in Parliament, write expert briefings and be confident meeting parliamentarians, take a leading role liaising with policy stakeholders, advise on strategic litigation, be a leading advocate in the press and the public forum, develop policy positions on key issues, and help drive our public campaigns for change.
About you
You’ll have 3+ years experience in a legal or policy capacity, or in a comparable advocacy environment that relied on your expertise on technology and rights issues – ideally involving facial recognition. You’ll have a strong track record of advocacy success.
You’ll be familiar with key litigation and policy issues in the area. You’ll also have excellent knowledge of British politics and UK parliamentary procedures and strong political contacts to match.
You’ll be at ease working on a strictly non-partisan, cross-party basis and grounding policy analysis in human rights and liberal principles.
You’ll be proactive in pitching policy, litigation and campaign ideas for the organisation to pursue within our work streams.
You’ll be an experienced spokesperson, confident undertaking live and recorded TV and radio interviews, talking to a variety of audiences and representing the organisation and our campaigns.

JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Programmes & Funding Manager in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of AdviceUK's funded programmes. The role will keep projects running smoothly, maintain accurate monitoring data, and be a reliable first point of contact for members and delivery partners. The Programmes & Funding Officer will also assist in maintaining stakeholder relationships and ensuring that AdviceUK members have the practical support needed to access and sustain advice services.

1.Programme & Project Support
·Assist the Programmes & Funding Manager in the delivery of AdviceUK's funded programmes and contribute to their design and development where required.
