We're looking for a Welfare Manager to take charge of the welfare journey for every dog in our centre. In this pivotal role, you will drive timely, compassionate decisions through expert behavioural and veterinary rehabilitation, ensuring each dog progresses toward their forever home.
What does this role do?
As Welfare Manager, you'll:
- lead, coach and develop a small team to deliver high-quality veterinary care and behaviour modification for dogs in our care,
- act as a balanced advocate for both behavioural and veterinary needs to achieve the best outcomes for each dog,
- oversee staff and volunteer training in behaviour and dog handling, ensuring all colleagues work within SOPs, legal, and health and safety guidelines,
- develop and implement tailored behaviour modification plans for dogs with complex needs and monitor progress towards successful rehoming,
- support professional development of Behaviour Officers, Dog Welfare Assistants, and Supervisors through mentoring, assessments, and workshops,
- collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent, informed behavioural support before, during, and after rehoming.
Could this be you?
As an accredited clinical dog behaviourist (CCAB, CAB) with extensive experience in canine behaviour and welfare; including behaviour modification, clinical assessment, and risk management, you will have proven expertise in safely handling and rehabilitating dogs across a range of breeds and behavioural profiles. With a strong track record of leading, developing, and managing high-performing teams, you will also be a skilled communicator, who is able to influence and engage a variety of audiences. Above all, you'll be passionate about rehoming, and have a commitment to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust.

Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they can find a loving new home and the success of our centres wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family-community within each of our centres. Come rain or shine, our team are out in all weathers to make sure the dogs have the best possible life. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust, and we pride ourselves on our staff providing the very best in customer service.

Main purpose of the role:

The key purpose of this Philanthropy Manager is to meet both financial and strategic KPIs, by managing a portfolio of key individual relationships and cultivating lapsed and colder prospects to support the long-term health of the Philanthropy portfolio. This role, together with Battersea’s other Philanthropy Managers, will also work closely with senior leadership, senior volunteers and other individuals to open up their networks and introduce new major donors to Battersea.

About the Role
The South London Centre Manager will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, smooth running and development of the South London centre and Smart Works service in Croydon.
They will oversee the delivery of a high-quality Smart Works service, to include managing centre operations, leading and supporting the volunteer community, and building strong relationships with local partners and stakeholders, to ensure that Smart Works is well-embedded in the South London community.
The Centre Manager will be a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys making things happen. They will be equally comfortable managing the practical running of a busy public-facing centre, supporting clients and volunteers, representing Smart Works externally and identifying opportunities to grow the service.
They will be a natural relationship builder who is able to create a vibrant, friendly and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
The role would be based in the South London centre, and there will be occasional evening and weekend work for which staff are awarded TOIL. There will also be an expectation that this role may need to visit other Smart Works London centres or travel for outreach events and activities throughout the city.

Your experience

This is an opportunity to oversee a psychologically informed, trauma-responsive supported housing community delivering high-quality accommodation and holistic support to women facing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
The service supports residents to rebuild stability, wellbeing, independence, and community connection through personalised support and strong partnership working.
The Role
You will provide operational leadership across the service, managing day-to-day delivery, staff performance, safeguarding, compliance, housing management, and service development.
You will lead and support a frontline team to deliver strengths-based, trauma-informed support while ensuring the service remains safe, effective, and resident-focused.
Responsibilities include: Leading the operational management of a supported housing service Managing staff performance, supervision, recruitment, and development Overseeing safeguarding, risk management, health & safety, and compliance Monitoring budgets, expenditure, and service performance Developing partnership working with housing providers and external agencies Supporting positive move-on outcomes and sustainable housing pathways Embedding psychologically informed and resident-led practice throughout the service
About You
We are looking for a confident and compassionate manager with: Experience managing supported housing or homelessness services Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches Knowledge of safeguarding, housing management, and support delivery Experience leading teams within supported living, homelessness, or social care settings The ability to manage operational pressures while maintaining high-quality service delivery Excellent stakeholder and partnership-building skills.
Experience supporting women experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantage would be highly advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced charity professional to lead and develop a growing Collective Fund service, combining client relationship management, operations, compliance, new business and team leadership.
You will:
- Manage a portfolio of Collective Fund clients and support colleagues with complex accounts and sensitive requirements.
- Lead the ongoing development and improvement of Collective Fund processes and systems.
- Assess prospective new business, including documentation, due diligence and suitability.
- Coordinate compliance, monitoring and annual Collective Fund reviews.
- Oversee income allocation, fees and relationships with external platforms.

You will ideally have:

About you
We are looking for a Scientific Events Manager, on a part-time basis, who will be responsible for the development of the Society’s Annual Conference and other events, in line with the Society’s strategic objectives, bringing together members and delegates from across the breadth of microbiology. This role involves working with the Events Operations Manager and Head of Scientific Programmes to ensure an impactful and sustainable annual events programme that enables members and delegates to strengthen their existing relationships and gain access to new communities, maximising networking opportunities.
The Scientific Events Manager will work across multiple departments to plan and deliver the Society’s Annual Conference and other events by develop branding, promotions and other opportunities to raise event awareness and build engagement with key stakeholders, industry and other partners and fostering the Society’s relationships with them.
The postholder will have experience in organising and managing scientific conferences or large scale events, and setting and managing budgets, with excellent communication skills, written and oral, to build effective relationships with key individuals at all levels using effective negotiation techniques.

About the role
As Director of Operations, you will have strategic responsibility for our care and support services and play a critical role within our Executive Team.
Supported living sits at the heart of Camphill Village Trust and this appointment will bring deep operational and social care expertise, ensuring we continue to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services while developing a sustainable model for the future.
This is a significant leadership role with responsibility for a c.£20m budget and an experienced operational leadership team. You will provide strategic oversight of quality, safeguarding, regulatory compliance and operational performance, while working with colleagues to strengthen our approach to supported living and housing and ensure our services deliver meaningful outcomes for the people we support.
There is important transformation ahead. We need to continue strengthening quality and consistency, develop our operational and leadership capability, improve our understanding of service financial performance and ensure our structures and systems are fit for the future. We are also considering the future relationship between our housing and supported living provision and how our care and support model should evolve.
Our communities have experienced considerable change and they already have significant knowledge, commitment and capability. You will therefore take time to listen and understand before determining what needs to change, working alongside experienced colleagues and empowering leaders rather than imposing solutions.
You will also help us look ahead. Who we are looking for
We are looking for an established senior social care leader with significant experience leading complex care and support services.
You may have worked within learning disability and autism services, supported living or another relevant area of adult social care. Exact sector experience matters less than a strong understanding of regulated care and support, quality, safeguarding and the realities of delivering sustainable services in a challenging commissioning environment.
You will understand what excellent support looks like and bring the credibility to provide assurance and constructive challenge at Executive and Board level. Experience of CQC-regulated services and a strong understanding of the responsibilities associated with the Nominated Individual role will be particularly important.
Alongside your technical expertise, you will bring strong commercial and financial judgement. You will understand service models, commissioning arrangements and financial performance and make difficult decisions when necessary, without ever losing sight of the impact those decisions have on people’s lives.
Your leadership style will matter just as much as your experience.
We are looking for someone calm, considered and resilient; a leader who listens, builds relationships and creates confidence during change. You will recognise that meaningful transformation takes time and have the patience to understand what is already working before deciding what needs to change.
